Last kidnap: part 5
Jack was engulfed in hugs, trying desperately to calm his sobbing down. They sat there until they were certain Jack had calmed down. Jack wiped the tears away, looking up at them, his body feeling a hundred times better for some reason he couldnt explain.
"S-sorry... I had a nightmare." Jack explains, bringing his knees to his chest. Glancing over he saw Alex was still soundly asleep next to him, making a small smile escape his lips.
"No need to apologize for something like that." Says Tooth.
Jack sucked in a breath, shaking his head as he decided it was time to get down to buisiness. "Anything knew in Hiccups whereabouts?" Jack asks.
Tooth grinned wide, practically exploding where she stood. "We have a general idea of where Hiccup is! If you're feeling rested and up for it, we can leave at dawn."
Jack looked down at his hands. He was determined to get Hiccup back. No matter what it took he needed to get Hiccup in his arms again. Looking up he sent his infamous smirk their way, clutching his hands tightly.
"I'm rested. I will be ready by dawn." He said, standing up. He nodded at the Guardians, leaving the room. Once he was inside of his own room, he couldnt help but let some more tears escape. He may have been brave in front of them, but he certainly didnt feel it. Composing himself, he walked over to his closet and opened it. When he saw who was in his closet, he squealed, falling on his butt.
Making sure he wasnt going crazy he looked up to see he certainly wasnt. "Pitch?! What the hell are you doing hiding in my closet?!" Jack snapped, though he made sure not to make his voice go above a whisper.
Pitch looked around, as if noticing for the first time that he was in fact, in a closet. "Looking for Jesus, what do you think I am here for, Frost?" Pitch says, sarcastically.
Jack rolled his eyes, standing up as he folded his arms, as if scolding a child. "I dont know, lately you have been up and down with what side you have been chosing." Jack glared.
Pitch chuckled, stepping out of the closet. "I'm not on any side. Mandrake betrayed me for that boy toy of yours so I am here to betray him." Pitch explained, pointing at Jack. "I know exactly where they are keeping him, but I ask that you dont involve the Guardians. Just you and me go rescue little ole Hiccup."
Jack squinted his eyes. "Why do you want to rescue Hiccup? Isnt he the one who almost killed you?" Jack asked, trying to make sense of Pitchs true motive here.
Pitch chuckled. "I couldnt care less what happens to the boy. I want my revenge on Mandrake. Now are you with me or not?" Pitch asked.
Jack knew this felt wrong, but he wanted to hold Hiccup in his arms again. Most importantly, he wanted to hold Hiccup while hes whole. Jack didnt care about Pitchs petty feud with Mandrake, all he cared about was getting Hiccup back. He sighed in defeat.
"I will go with you, but I am leaving a not for the Guardians. Just because i am not taking them with doesnt mean we wont need their help." Jack explained, walking over to the desk, grabbing out a piece of paper and writing on it. Once it was done, he placed it on the bed, before going into his closet and grabbing his staff.
"Before we go, I need to make one more stop." Jack explained, seeing Pitch make an annoyed face. Jack only rolled his eyes.
*Hiccup: 3rd person*
Hiccup groaned awake, this time though, he wasnt chained to a wall, instead his ankle was chained to a vent in the room they were in. There was a lot of light, casting shadows across the room. The light nearly blinding Hiccup as he stared at the room. Mandrake appeared into the room, pointing at all the shadows.
"This is a test. Show me how you do with manipulating shadows. I want to see what I did." Mandrake chuckled.
Hiccup glared, sending daggers Mandrakes way.
Mandrake merely shook it off, waiting for Hiccup to continue. Hiccup knew it was no good so instead of trying to justify anything, he decided to follow orders. He himself wanted to know the extent of his powers so why not try them out anyways?
He lifted his hand and closed his fists, seeing the shadows bend to his will. When he bent Mandrakes though. He was surprised when Mandrake hissed in pain, grabbing his hand. Hiccup smirked.
"So grabbing someone's shadow hurts them?" Hiccup asked.
Too Mandrakes horror he knew what Hiccup was about to do. "Shut off the lights!" He shouted.
Hiccup was able to grab Mandrakes leg, befor the shadows were gone. A satisfying crunch echoed, making Mandrakes eyes grow murderous. "You will pay for that." He growled.
Hiccup smirked. "It was worth it." He whispered, knowing full well Mandrake heard it. He was satisfied, that much he knew. Before anything serious could happen, a giant icicle wall appeared in front of him, separating Mandrake and Hiccup. Hiccups whole body, flooded with relief. Looking up he saw the one person he was waiting for. Jack Frost.
*Jack: 3rd person*
Jack crouched down when they were near the place Pitch said. He looked over, seeing Pitch was leaning against the wall. Never in a million years would he have seen himself working along side Pitch, but he needed too. Fixing the armor he was wearing from his last stop he forced Pitch to take him, he slowly made his way to a window, peaking in.
He saw Mandrake and Hiccup talking, shadows appearing on the wall. Jack spotted the shadows start to morph and to his surprise, Mandrake hissed in pain. So he could make shadows hurt people, huh? That was new, yet a little unsettling if Jack were to say so himself.
When the lights turned off though. Jack jumped into action. He broke the glass and before Mandrake could step closer, he used his staff and created a wall of ice, separating both of them he saw Hiccup look up and his body felt heavy, seeing him.
"Jack!" Hiccup screamed, his voice holding pain.
Jack dropped down next to him, putting his staff down he slid to his knees, embracing Hiccup in his arms. He felt warm and safe. Nothing else mattered at this point. Just feeling Hiccup was all he needed.
"Thank Odin you are here." Hiccup breathed.
Jack let out a sad chuckle. "Of course I'm here. I'll follow you anywhere. We may had some harsh times these past few months but we will change." He pulled back, planting a kiss on Hiccups lips. "I promise." He whispered through another kiss.
The happiness didnt last long though when a hole was melted through his ice wall. Jack clutched Hiccup close, glaring up at Mandrake.
"The knight has shown up. Did you really think coming here alone was a smart idea?" Mandrake asked, holding onto his arm.
Jack smirked. "I'm not alone."
On cue, Nightmare sand rushed forward and slammed Mandrake into the wall. Pitch appeared in front of them, a smirk on his face.
Jack nodded at Pitch, turning his attention he used his Ice and freed Hiccups ankle. "What is he doing here?" Hiccup asked, his voice thick.
Jack chuckled to himself, almost in disbelief of himself. "Oh it's a story. I'll tell you it soon, but for now, let's get going." He explained, srapping Hiccups arm around his shoulders before they started walking towards the exit. They could hear Mandrake and Pitch fighting, but they seriously didnt want to get caught up.
But they didnt really have a choice.
Something dark wrapped around Jack's waist, sending him flying backwards and onto the ground. Hiccup, with the poison still in his system, crumbled to the ground, his body feeling heavy. Jack slammed against the ice wall, groaning at the impact. He looked at what grabbed him to see it was a black roped whip. Jack followed it to see it was Mandrakes.
"I didnt tell you to leave with my possession." He says.
That irked Jack as he brought a hand up and froze the rope. Confident he got it, he broke free, stumbling on his hands and knees to grab his staff. He didnt make it when something slashed his arm, causing him to lose balance and crumble to the floor.
He looked over seeing it was a deep gash on his bicept that threw him off. He glared at Mandrake. "Hes not your possession. Just because you're think you created him, doesn't make him yours. Just ask Pitch he tried to claim something that wasnt his and look where that got him." Jack snapped.
Pitch just scoffed, grabbing hold of his bleeding side. This was the first time Jack has seen Pitch looking nearly defeated. It unsettled him about just how strong Mandrake was.
Mandrake laughed at that stepping closer to Jack, ignoring Hiccup and Pitch, his eyes only focusing on Jack.
"I did create him. If I get rid of any distractions causing him to hold back, perhaps he will be much more... focused on our goal." Mandrake smirked.
"And what is your goal exactly? World domination like all the other bad guys in the universe?" Jack joked.
Mandrake seemed amused at the tongue in Jack, taking an interest in him. "World domination? Oh no. I plan on first, ridding the world of Jack Frost and Pitch Black, then I will watch as the Pod dies, destroying the forest. Once that's done theres only one thing to do. What as every human being suffers from lack of oxygen." Mandrake finished.
Jack chuckled. "What you just described there, is world domination. Just because your motive is different, doesnt make your plan like everyone else's. It's quite pathetic if I'm honest." Jack mocked. He wanted to get under Mandrakes skin, hoping to blind him with rage so that he can win this fight. It seemed to be working, because Mandrake looked downright murderous.
He jumped forward, grabbing a handful of Jack's armor, bringing him up to his face. "My plan is different and you wont be there to see it succeed." He snapped, punching Jack in the face. It was so full of rage it split Jack's lip.
Jack didnt have time to recover when he was punched once again, this time splitting his cheek. He released Jack, grabbing for his dagger. In a swift movement he spotting a spot in Jack's armor that exposed his side. Smirking he slammed it down, causing a small scream to escape Jack.
Mandrake laughed. "Armor wont help if theres holes." Mandrake teased.
Jack just smirked. He used this time to grab his staff. Mandrake didnt seem to notice as Jack kicked Mandrake in the knee, causing him to lose balance. Shoot up and used his power to blast Mandrake hard into the wall. Mandrake grunted, falling to his knees.
Jack huffed, looking over to see Hiccup was now fully passed out and Pitch was as well. It was up to him to defeat Mandrake and in his state, it wasnt going to be a pretty battle.
A/N: hey guys. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time no talk! Yes I am finishing this story, no I am not abandoning it. I took a hiatus because I had a lot on my plate but now that I graduated College I am back to writing full time on here! You may have noticed I'm a lot more active if you read my other books, Reliving Memories or Darkest Touch. But be prepared to see how this story ends!
