That summer, by the house of Team Emperor's poolside, N-Pacer and Maeve were dipping their feet in the water, Eging and Y/n were laughing by the shade, Prince was floating in the pool, and Emperor was reading a book. It had been a couple months since the incident happened, and all were living their best life, now that Maeve was not revenge-hungry and vengeful.

Maeve now frequently came over and made friends with N-Pacer quick. Emperor and Y/n had gotten closer and closer. Eging was the same ol eging, funny and fun-loving. Prince had grown a little taller much to everyone's surprise. Team Emperor remained the top of the top, and kept shaking the world with their wins.

Y/n had made sure that Maeve really had lost her memories, and that was true. They were no longer in danger, and could finally live their lives as regular inklings. None of them would forget that both Maeve and Y/n had powers, but they kept that on an all time low.

"PRINCE! WATCH OUT!" Eging yelled as a Prince scrambled away in the water. A second later, a beachball landed right where Prince would've been. "HAHA!" Eging laughed, "GOOD REFLEXES!"

"Would you stop blasting our eardrums out?? You're not even that far away from the pool," N-Pacer said, putting on her sunglasses.

"Don't pay attention to them pacer, here's the sunscreen by the way," Maeve said, breaking the two up from possibly having a heated argument.

Eging jumped into the pool and Prince was blown away by the wave. It hit Y/n square in the face and she spit out the water. "GROSS, could you not spray water all over your bEstESt friend please?" she said smiling superficially.

Eging rolled his eyes and splattered her with more water. "Oops my bad bEstiE."

[PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THIS WATER WILL NOT KILL THEM :D]

Y/n felt a looming shadow behind her, and Eging shrunk away. "I'M SORRY I WON'T DO IT AGAIN Y/N PLEASE FORGIVE ME AND MY GOING-TO-BE-DEAD-IF-YOU-DON'T-FORGIVE-ME-SOUL!!" Eging pleaded.

Y/n turned around to see Emperor standing behind her protectively. She let out a small laugh and touched his arm. "It's okay Emp he's just having fun."

Emperor let out a breath and shrugged. "Better to be safe then sorry," he told her gently. Y/n smiled.

She remembered how much the entire team had been through the last few months, getting Maeve to finally settle down, making sure she remembered nothing, and dealing with Maeve's old goons who came to look for her. Maeve didn't remember a thing, even after seeing the goons, so they were in the clear.

It was certainly a relief to have this all off their shoulders finally. However, even with the trouble, all of Team Emperor had grown closer. And that was all Y/n could hope for.

Y/n stood up, and from behind she felt Emperor embrace her. "I'm glad you've decided to stay with us Y/n."

Y/n put her head on the arm holding her. "Me too."
