The Monster Trend On TikTok
Pretty self-explanatory ^^
For those who don't know, there is this trend going around TikTok where artists would draw their monsters based on this criteria:
- skin color = favorite color
- eye color = color of the artist's birthstone
- hair color = the color of their shirt
- add 3rd eye or more if the artist wears glasses
- add horns if their favorite animal has them
- add wings if their favorite animal has them
- add earrings if the artist wears them
So I've been seeing a lot of these lately and I've always wanted to try it myself and the art block I had for the past couple of weeks seemed to be the perfect time for it, so this morning during history class I made this sketch:
Then went back home, redrew it into my sketchbook and colored it:
At this point I was starting to really love how it's turning out but it still looked nothing like I wanted, so it was time for markers and stuff and thus is the finished result:
I'm now noticing all of the little mistakes and they're bugging me a lot, so I should probably stop looking at it but it turned out so good, I can't believe I drew it lol
Also, I bought a golden marker for this but I for some reason was pretty dry, but I've had a dry marker like that before and the easiest way to fix it is to dip it into water every few minutes. I didn't feel like washing dishes and I forgot I had a water box (or whatever that is called (for cleaning brushes while painting)), so I used a plastic transparent glass and the marker turned the water yellow-ish and there were some bubbles in the water for some reason and when my sister came back home and found it on the table near me, she thought I was drinking champagne and she knows I've tried it and I hate it, so she was super confused and was about to drink it, so I had to stop her.
I admit, it kind of looked like champagne tbh lmao
