I For Some Reason Am Obsessed With The 1920s And It's Getting Out Of Hand Pt 2.
I will try to make this as short as I can because it's not 2am already and I want to sleep but I need to get this done, so here we go
I wanted to rent a boa but that didn't work because
1) the costume place doesn't allow people without green passes inside
2) I looked at their page online and they don't rent boas without the full costume
So I thought "hey, I could make one" but was about to drop that idea until that headpiece turned out so well and then I decided I could use the same technique and tho it took me AT LEAST 6 or 7 hours, I'm very happy with the results:
1. Ribbon
2. Cut A LOT of tiny yarn pieces (around 500 of brown ones, around 250 of white ones and around 250 of the other white ones (I ran out of the same kind of yarn (note to self: make sure you have enough yarn))). I still needed to add some more in the end
3. Tied them all onto the ribbon and make the mistake of trying it one because it got all tangled up and I need to straighten it out for combing and when I did that, the pieces shuffled and I needed to add more yarn which I didn't consider a problem because I had some spare pieces left but once I put them on I tugged on one end of the thing and revealed a whole new huge empty space and needed to cut more
4. Combed it all out and then shuffled around for it to become more round and finished
Absolutely love it, but not making another one anytime soon
