=TWELVE=Shock=

Logan stood his ground and glanced around the living room he had once come to identify as part of his home. Everyone else in the room was in a state of shock, besides Janus and Remus, the latter having just risen up as Logan revealed himself.

Slowly, Logan reached his hands up to his face and removed the plague doctor mask he was still wearing. He snapped it away, back to the dark side mindscape, and folded his hands behind his back. Janus glanced over at him and smirked, raising an eyebrow.

"Oh... uh, wow. What's with the new look, Lo..?" Patton asked carefully.

"That's very... orange of you," Thomas commented, looking confused, as always.

"Hold on, you guys might be right," Virgil mumbled.

"Why the hell is Remus here?!" Roman exclaimed, trying to step away from his brother.

"Well, Logan?" Virgil raised his voice a bit in order to be heard. "Care to explain?"

Logan sighed. "...Well-"

"Wait, wait, wait- hold on. Can you at least tell me what five times five is first?"

Silence. Janus rolled his eyes.

"Five times five is... twenty-five, Thomas," Logan answered.

"Oh... oh right. Okay. Thanks."

"...I'm not surprised by your sudden lack of logical thinking, though I'm sure this will be a temporary setback for you and you'll return to normal as time passes. There's just been a bit of a... change, recently."

"Logan, what are you talking about?" Patton asked slowly.

"I suppose I shouldn't keep it a secret any longer. Recently I've found living in this part of the mindscape to be horrible, and I've begun to realize that it's always been like that and I've only just come to notice it now. I have discovered that no one here enjoys my company in the slightest and you all most certainly don't listen to a thing I have to say, so I've had a conversation with Janus and Remus and I've officially become Stoicism instead of Logic. So I've now joined forces, if you will, with-"

"So you're a dark side," Virgil cut him off.

"...Yes."

Virgil blinked.

"What the actual fuck, Logan?"

"Ooh, yeah, we're gonna have to censor that," Patton chuckled awkwardly.

Logan gulped. He could feel nervousness- oh my, he could feel- rising to his mind from those five words alone. He looked away for a moment and composed himself, taking a quick deep breath. It would all be fine, and if it wasn't, it wasn't something he needed to outwardly express discontent for.

Logan looked back at his... boyfriend? His boyfriend. "Virgil, I simply saw that no one over here values me as a side anymore and adapted to the situation, I don't understand why you're getting upset over it." That was a lie. "When we were all talking in the kitchen before I left, you mocked me and everyone else was either refusing to make eye contact with me, or they were glaring. I'm clearly not welcome anymore, so I left."

"You're blaming me? Logan, I am getting upset because of all the nights I spent venting to you about how much I hated the dark sides! Did you even listen to me?! I trusted you."

"Look, I-" he stuttered. "-I'm sorry... Virgil. But we have had this conversation before. The dark sides have been very hospitable to me thus far and I think you should at least try and realize that-"

Virgil threw his hands up in defense. "Alright, yep, that's it. I should have done this a long time ago, but I guess now is a good of a chance as ever." He lowered his hands and his eyebrows. Logan knew what was coming. His eyes widened and he clenched his fists in fear, but gulped it down, trying to stay calm. Stoic.

"Oh, Virgil, I-"

"No. We're done, Logan... I'm breaking up with you."

Everyone in the room who was not aware the two were ever dating immediately gasped, and Logan let out a breath, glancing over at Janus, who was glaring at Logan's now ex-boyfriend. Ex-boyfriend. Logan wasn't sure he liked that term... no, he didn't.

"Wait- hold on, you two were dating?! What?!" Roman asked.

"For how long?" Thomas asked.

"That's gonna be a surprise to the Fanders," Patton murmured.

"I-I don't believe any of that matters-"

Virgil cut Logan off. "I asked him out a couple days after we filmed Fitting In. Should've known it was all a mistake, though."

"Wait, the nerd is single? Can I fuck him now?" Remus asked.

"Remus! Goddamnit, could you pick a better time?!" Roman slapped his shoulder like he was a housefly. Remus slapped him back.

"I think you should be happy you even got to date him," Janus looked at Virgil. "Clearly he deserved better anyways."

"Oh, so now you're flirting with him?" Virgil asked.

"That was not flirting," Janus glared.

"Like how you manipulating me back in the courtroom wasn't flirting, right?" Roman added.

"This is getting out of hand," Logan muttered.

"Shut up," Virgil and Roman said at the same time. Janus looked back and forth between both of them, eyebrows lowered.

"Wow, could you two be any more hateful?" He asked.

"Well I'm sorry I have issues trusting my ex-boyfriends, Janus. But you know what? Fine. That dumb-ass can go have fun over in the dark sides because he's gonna regret it. And when he comes crawling back here begging for forgiveness, we won't give it to him."

"Well what if-"

"What he said!" Roman cut Patton off. "We don't even need that stupid nerdy pocket calculator watch around here! I-"

"That's not my name, Roman."

Logan felt a chill go down his spine as he suddenly got the confidence to say something. Everyone looked at him.

"...I think I can call you whatever I want, you traitor," Roman eventually responded.

"You're making me relive the reason I left. Don't any of you ever get it right? Logan. It is five letters. Why don't you remember who I am? Every time I come and stand here, you all call me names and belittle me. You only want me when I'm useful to you. Everyday, you mock me and figuratively push me around until I can't take it anymore. And you still keep going. Don't you all see the reason I'm leaving? It's because of you."

The room was dead silent.

"...That's all sounding a bit toxic, Logan," Virgil said.

"I think you should look in a mirror."

And he sunk out.
