Tripping isn't a bad thing. Tripping is just giving the floor random hugs, or that's how I put it.

But this story isn't just about tripping. It's about falling... falling head over heels for a complete jerk. Draco malfoy. Tall, blonde, pale, grey eyes, super rich, bad boy. Pretty much the envy of any guy and wanted by every girl. But he doesn't do that. He has very high standards. He must fall for the girl. But she has to be of high quality.... or so people think.....

"Woah!" I said tripping over someone's out turned foot in the hallway. "Geez someone's living up to their nerd status." Draco said laughing with his friends. "Yeah yeah whatever. But I'm the only girl who's literally gonna fall for you." I said to him straightening out my band t shirt. "Whatever see you in charms, loser." He said pushing past me. I groaned as Luna walked up to me. "What happened to you? Did you fall again?" She asked in her light wispy voice. "Yeah but this time it was for Draco. He's never gonna notice me unless it's on the floor." I said pushing my glasses up. "Come on, let's get to class." She took my hand and we walked to class. We both sat in the front. Class flew by like a hippogriff chasing after its food. The bell rang and we went to dinner. But this wasn't any dinner this was the dinner.

This was the dinner where guys asked you to the ball. But I knew I wouldn't be asked, but I dressed up anyway. Maroon float top, dark jeans, curled hair, and I put contacts in. "Wow you look beautiful!" All the girls said. "Yeah but I'm iffy on this top." I said. "Why?" They asked. "I don't know if I like the maroon, I kind of want army green." They all nodded and I changed the color. "Oh yes that's better." I said smiling. "Perfect." I said as I finished putting on my dark red lipstick. "Okay lets go." Everyone walked into the dining hall. And is being the nerds we were last. But we got the best looks from people. Everyone's jaws dropped. "Wow they are beautiful." Or "omg! Pretty!" Or "love their outfits!" Could be heard. Stares were all to common. But one that caught my eye was Draco. He was staring at me. We walked over to our tables and I joined my friend Lucy at the (y/h) table. "Do you think anyone's going to ask you?" She asked. "No." I said bluntly. "Why?" She asked. "Because I'm a nerd, not beautiful, can't do anything except get good grades, AND there is no way that the one guy I want to ask me will ask me." I said to her. "Wow your depressing." She said. "I know!" I said annoyed. Draco got up and I assumed he was walking to pansy but he stopped short and looked at me. "Hi." He said sitting down. "Umm hi." I said confused. "Do you want to go to the ball with me?" I blinked repeatedly trying to let the words register in my mind. "What?" I asked. "Do you... want to.... go to.... the ball with me?" Draco said slowly. "Yes!" I said immediately. "Cool! I'll see you tomorrow." He said kissing my cheek and walking away.

"What the crap just happened?" I said smiling at Lucy. I got up and ran out to my room so I could scream. Lucy came running in. "What happened?" "I can't believe that Draco asked me!!" I said. "Well ya better because he wants to see you." She said. I shot up and went to the dining hall while running into Draco. We almost hit each other when he grabbed my forearms and stopped us from colliding. "Hey." I said smiling at him, looking into his eyes. "Hey." He said back. "So you wanted to see me?" I asked. "Yeah, I wanted to give you this." He said and soon before I knew it, I had my first kiss. We both backed up. "I'll see you tomorrow sweetheart." I stood there frozen watching the doors close and it concealed Draco in the dining hall. I smiled and touched my blushing face. I was speechless I could still feel the presence of Draco's lips on mine. I touched my lips smiling. I couldn't believe it. Later that night I told everyone about it. The ball was closer and closer. Soon it was here.

4 hours to get ready...

Me and the girls got in the shower and took showers(not together). We all dried our hair and did it.

2 hours to get ready....
We did each other's makeup according to dress color, but we haven't seen each other's dresses, we were just told the colors.

45 minutes to get ready....
We all slipped on our dresses and showed each other. Everyone thought I looked the best. The bell rang signaling five minutes till the ball started. "Okay guys! Last minute touch ups and let's go!" We all looked at each other one more time and walked out. I went last because I was too scared to go before anyone. "And lastly, (y/n) (l/n) from (y/h)." The announcer said as I walked in. Everyone stared in awe. Gasps were heard in the crowd as I walked down. "And who is your date tonight m'lady?" He asked. "Draco Malfoy." I said to him. "Draco Malfoy!" He called out. Draco walked up in a full out black suit and tie. "Wow you look amazing!" He said. "You do too." I said. "Last couple of the night Ms. (L/n) and Mr. Malfoy." The announcer said. "And as requested by Draco, he and his fate will have the first solo dance." He announced. "You did what?" I whispered. "Come on it'll be fun." He said taking my hand. "Uh huh, yeah and you know how clumsy I am." I said. "I'll catch up if you swoon." He winked.

I rolled my eyes and we made our way to the center of the room. The music started and we danced perfectly. But it stopped when I tripped on my dress. Draco caught me and made it seem like we dipped. "See told you I'd catch you if you swooned." He said. He pushed me back up and we danced more. It was amazing. Everyone watched. When the song ended everyone clapped. The ball flew by and me and Draco got out of our clothes and into more comfy ones. I wore a green crop top with black leggings and he wore a soft button up and dress pants. "Do you ever wear anything outside of this?" I asked him looking at his outfit. "Don't know what else to wear, I've always dressed like this." He said putting his hands in his pockets. "I can change that." I took his hand and we went to my closet. "Why do you have so many guys things?" He asked. "It was all my brothers before he..... ya know." I said. "Oh." He said sadly. "Never mind lets go." I pulled him in and he tried on multiple outfits. But I liked the last one the best.

He had a green t shirt, a Slytherin black bomber jacket, and black jeans. "Nice." I said nodding. "I like this." He said. "Good cause that bomber jacket was my bothers." I said. "Oh I'm sorry ill-" he said. "No it's okay! Keep it! It looks good on you. If he wanted anyone to have it it would be you." I said. "Whys that?" He asked. "Because your nice to me now." I said. I got up and walked to him. He pulled he close to him. "You know, I've liked you forever right? I liked you since the day I saw you and then when you showed your smartness I couldn't believe but fall for you." He said. "I think I've been doing all the falling." I said scrunching up my face. "Your cute...you know that?" He asked. "Never knew." I said sarcastically. He pulled me in and kissed me lightly. "Clumsy and cute. My type." He said kissing me again. "Good, cause you are my type." I said to him. "Good." He smiled. We kissed one more time and then we headed our separate ways for the night.
