Jealous- Yoonkook 💜
Summary: All Jungkook wants is everything Yoongi has to give all for himself and to give everything he has to his hyung in return.
Is that really too much to ask for?

Jungkook is good at getting what he wants.
He's persistent when his mind is set on something and usually with just a flash of his sparkling round eyes, maybe a childish pout added in, he's almost guaranteed to get what he wants.
And what he wants is Yoongi.
He wants to sit by him in the car. To be near him while Yoongi works at his computer or plays the piano.
Wants to linger a little while longer after everyone is headed home from the bar they like to hang out at so he can spend just a bit more time alone with him.
He wants his attention, his affection, his soft touches and fond smiles; everything.
He wants everything Yoongi has to give all for himself and to return those things to him times one million.
The problem is, it seems that Jimin wants the same thing.
What's worse– if it's even possible to get worse– is that Jimin happens to be a bit more forward, more confident, when it comes to getting what he wants.
While Jungkook goes about his particular desires quietly (damn his shyness) Jimin throws all caution and hesitation aside.
(Taehyung had assured Jungkook months ago that Jimin and Yoongi aren't together– he even said he thought Jimin had a boyfriend– but Jungkook doesn't believe that. He's never seen Jimin giggle and whisper with anyone but Yoongi.)
He's always directing Yoongi's attention away from everyone, whether it be by drawing him into a private conversation or physically leading him away from their friend group.
Always huddling close to him, drawing him into conversations that look sometimes playful and sometimes serious and as much as Jungkook would love to insert himself into their little meetings he knows that's rude.
He can't stand it, but... what can he do?
He can't say anything. He has no right to behave like some spoilt brat because one of Yoongi's best friends, one he's known years longer than he has Jungkook, wants to spend time with him.
So, he just watches it happen while he waits for his turn.
And now– fucking finally– his turn has come.
Jimin is going out of town to visit his family and he will be gone for three weeks.
This means Jungkook potentially has all of Yoongi's attention to himself!
Three weeks to make Yoongi see him not just as his youngest dongsaeng but as someone he could actually have feelings for.
He can't wait!
.......
Jungkook was elated when the day came for Jimin to leave. Then, the unthinkable happened.
Something so unplanned and impossible to have predicted that it made Jungkook physically ill.
The story goes like this: Jungkook had made plans with Yoongi to hang out the night after Jimin's departure.
(Jimin was leaving on a Tuesday, so Yoongi should be free starting the next day; Wednesday.
The bar they as a friend group frequent has Whiskey Wednesdays where Whiskey is half off.
Jungkook wanted to go out with Yoongi; Yoongi loves Whiskey; they don't have to pay full price for the Whiskey. It was a no-brainer.)
The plan was to meet at the bar.
Jungkook was considering it as an unofficial date, but Yoongi thought of it more as a casual hang out.
He didn't verbally express that to Jungkook, but he didn't have to.
Why else would Yoongi have shown up with another person if he thought this were anything but casual?
Jungkook's heart went from swooning at the sight of Yoongi walking through the door to free-falling right onto the floor with a crash because right behind Yoongi was a man. A man Jungkook had never seen before.
At first he'd thought– hoped– it was just a coincidence.
People walk into places one after the other, the one closest to the door politely holding it open for the other, all the time. It's not an uncommon occurrence.
What was uncommon was the smile– the look of fondness– Yoongi gave this man when he'd begun walking next to Yoongi, seemingly carrying on their conversation, hands waving in the air as he spoke animatedly.
It was an expression that portrayed quite clearly that they were familiar with each other.
To what capacity Jungkook didn't know because he still didn't recognize this man, but he clearly knew Yoongi and Yoongi knew him.
"Kook-ah!" Yoongi's warm greeting reaches Jungkook and he hopes the look of hurt and confusion isn't quite as clear in his expression as he plasters a smile on his lips and raises his hand in a timid wave.
He tries to be subtle, but he is definitely sizing the guy up, staring a little too long as he walks closely beside Yoongi.
Jungkook did not like what he saw. Not one bit.
The man is gorgeous. Fucking gorgeous.
He is quite a bit taller than Yoongi, likely even taller than Jungkook, with long, strong legs that his jeans were hugging perfectly.
Thighs Jungkook's mind unhelpfully provided as he appraised the curve of the muscles as he walked.
He has a simple, loose black t-shirt with the word "Hybe" written in small letters in the middle of his chest.
The shirt itself is nothing special but the fit of it looks as if it were custom made for the man, stretching across his broad chest and over his toned shoulders all too well.
He's tanned and his sandy brown hair is parted and styled to frame his face, accentuating his cheekbones and overall face shape.
He is perfect and the sight of him makes Jungkook's stomach churn uncomfortably.
When he meets Jungkook's eyes he offers a closed lip smile and Jungkook damn near chokes on air with the sharp intake of breath he'd been forced to take.
Dimples. He has fucking dimples!
Everything about him is perfect and– oh. Oh, Jungkook has been staring too long. Far too long, without saying a word.
"H-Hi," he managed to stutter, smile no less tense as the two men hovered by the table for a few silent seconds. "Glad you, uh, both could make it..."
"I'm glad you invited me," Yoongi smiled back as he slid into the booth across from Jungkook. "I wasn't sure what our night was going to look like with Jimin gone so this is a great way to fill time."
Ouch. Jungkook barely manages not to flinch.
Seeing Jungkook is filling time. That stings.
Wait, what? Did he say our night? Jungkook's ninety percent sure Yoongi isn't talking about himself and Yoongi so... huh?
"I'm not sure I understand... Our night with Jimin gone? As in..." he blinks, "the two of you?"
Yoongi opens his mouth to explain but the tall stranger jumps in to speak before he can.
"Now would be a good time to introduce myself," the beautiful man says as he settles onto the bench seat across from Jungkook in the booth. "I'm Namjoon, Jiminie's boyfriend."
"Jimin's... boyfriend?" Jungkook sputters, quickly looking from Mr. Perfect– Namjoon apparently– to Yoongi. "Your Jimin?"
"Technically he's Joon's Jimin," Yoongi smiles crookedly.
Jungkook blinks a bit excessively as he processes the sudden realization that hits him all at once.
Jimin has a boyfriend, and it's Namjoon.
Namjoon is Jimin's boyfriend, not Yoongi's.
Maybe Jungkook does still have a chance!
Jungkook can't help the cheek splitting grin that accompanies his whole body raising up in his seat as he sits up straighter.
He hadn't even realized he'd been slumped over so much. That he had shrunk in on himself with his disappointment to the extent he had.
But, at least now he knows he doesn't need to be disappointed. Namjoon is Jimin's boyfriend!
"I didn't know Jimin-hyung had a boyfriend," Jungkook raises a brow, a gleeful twinkle in his eye, still grinning.
The odd look both Namjoon and Yoongi give him at his obvious mood change is not missed by Jungkook, but he couldn't care less at this point.
As far as Jungkook was concerned, this beautiful, dimpled man named Namjoon was not someone he needed to worry about stealing Yoongi's heart away.
Of course that would cause his mood to swing in a positive direction as soon as the news sunk in!
"Namjoon-ssi, Jimin-hyung's boyfriend. That's awesome... you're awesome! And so is Jimin! Wow, that's so great! Good for you two," Jungkook continues to gush, rambling at this point but again, he really could not care less.
Namjoon only laughed at his kind words, and, Jungkook had to admit, it was probably one of the most endearing sounds he'd ever heard... besides Yoongi's laugh, of course.
(Nothing could ever be more endearing than any of the hundreds of little habits his hyung has.)
"Yeah, well, Jimin basically only hangs out with us when Joon is working, which happens to be kind of a lot, but he does talk about him- Actually, he mostly just talks to me about him, I guess." Yoongi frowns in exaggerated disgust. "It's a lot of bragging about how disgustingly in love they are so consider yourself lucky that you aren't forced into those conversations, Kook-ah."
"You're the one who introduced us. Jimin talks to you because he holds you responsible for our relationship. The good and the bad," Namjoon smiles, bumping his shoulder with Yoongi's playfully.
"I wish he wouldn't." Yoongi grimaces with a breathy scoff, softly shoving his friend.
Jungkook watches with amusement as the two continue to bicker back and forth, giggling every once in a while at the silly comebacks and petty halfhearted insults they share.
"I have told him multiple times that I really would rather not hear it. I'm happy that you're happy, truly I am, but I'd rather be happy for you from a distance. A very, very far distance." Yoongi scowls but there's no real anger behind it.
"It's not that I particularly like that he talks to you about everything, but I am glad he has someone he feels comfortable talking to."
Yoongi grumbles something under his breath, folding his arms across his chest.
"I'm sure he isn't that bad," Namjoon chuckles with tinted cheeks.
"It is that bad actually," Yoongi pouts. "If I have to hear one more story about your disgusting 'sexplorations' I'm going to check myself into a mental ward! I do not want to hear about how my childhood friend and my best friend getting banned from Louis Vuitton for having sex in the fitting room."
"Is that all he said about that day?" Namjoon raises a brow. "It could have been much worse."
"It was worse!" Yoongi whines and Jungkook's heart swoons at the pout his lips push into as he continues, "He also went into detail about the angles he had to be in to 'make the most of the space' and- Ugh! The whole fucking thing was gross."
Jungkook lets out a louder laugh at that which brings both men's attention to him.
He continues to laugh and giggle as he looks between them.
"Hyung, I didn't realize you were a matchmaker in your spare time," he teases, feeling much less tense than he had been when the two first sat down.
"Not anymore. I haven't set anyone up since these two. It has done nothing but bite me in the ass and I will not be risking that happening again," he grumbles grumpily but there's no real bite behind his words.
Jungkook giggles at the cute pout on Yoongi's lips. God, what he wouldn't give to kiss it away right now.
"Why don't we get our drink orders in and we can toast to your retirement then, hm?" Jungkook grins, already waving over the waitress who's been making her rounds from table to table.
The rest of the evening is quite enjoyable after that.
Jungkook and Namjoon actually get along well, the two bonding over a shared interest in contemporary and abstract art, Yoongi chimes in as well regarding exhibits he had gone to with Namjoon, while the three of them sipped on their drinks.
After some time when Jungkook's eyes started getting a bit too droopy for the two men to ignore, they suggested that they close their tabs, call it a night and get themselves an Uber since none of them drove themselves there.
It was close to midnight anyway. They had been there for hours– the time just seeming to fly by.
But, that's how it always seemed to be when Jungkook was in Yoongi's orbit.
No matter how much time they spend together, it was never enough. Not for Jungkook.
.......
"Why didn't you tell me I was crashing a date?" Namjoon asks as he fastens his seatbelt from Yoongi's passenger seat.
"Date?" Yoongi scoffs, pulling away from the curb. "What are you taking about?"
Namjoon appraises his friend for a long moment wordlessly, trying to decide if he is being serious or not.
It's the next day after the three had met at the bar, Yoongi picking Namjoon up from his apartment so they can get some lunch.
Namjoon had spent most of the night and all morning thinking about their night, comparing meeting Jungkook in person, actually conversing with him, to the stories and things he's heard from both Jimin and Yoongi about him.
He even called Jimin after he'd gotten home last night, and... yeah. He's pretty sure he read the situation correctly.
When Yoongi glances over at him with an inquisitive brow raised, Namjoon scoffs back.
"Mini's right. You are daft."
"Oh, so just how Jimin talks to me about you he does the same with you about me. Figures."
"Yes, my boyfriend is a gossiper. This is by no means a secret," Namjoon rolls his eyes playfully. "Anyway, back to what I was saying about you being oblivious-"
"-Oblivious is a bit harsh," Yoongi cuts in with a pouty frown.
"It's true!" Namjoon retorts. "Did you not see how he was looking at me before I introduced myself? Why do you think I added that I was Jimin's boyfriend? Have you ever heard me do that before?"
Yoongi presses his lips together as he tries to recall.
"No... That was kind of weird."
"Kind of weird," Namjoon rolls his eyes. "It was but I felt it was necessary. He looked like he was about to jump over the table and choke me. Or cry," Namjoon muses. "Maybe choke me while crying."
"I happen to know on good authority that you don't mind a little choking, Joon," Yoongi snorts under his breath.
"See, you do enjoy hearing about our sex life," Namjoon teases.
"Do not! I find it disgusting that I know that."
"You're the one who brought it up just now," Namjoon scoffs. "Anyway, as I was saying-"
Yoongi groans quietly, sinking further down in his seat.
"-He looked like he was about to challenge me to a fight."
Yoongi sighs, exasperated. "Look, Joon. You don't know Jungkook. He's just shy. He isn't a fan of meeting new people. If anything he was probably thrown off that I walked in with you instead of someone else. Someone he knew," Yoongi purses his lips before adding, "I should have given him a heads up I was bringing you honestly. That's my bad, but I'm sure he would have acted completely normal if it were Jin or Tae or Hobi I'd come in with."
Namjoon appraises him with a critical eye.
After a few more seconds he speaks with a click of his tongue.
"Why don't you invite him to hang out this week. Just you and him. Alone." He emphasizes the last word slowly.
Yoongi's brows raise. "Okay? Why did you say it like that. Why are you still being weird?"
"You're being weird! He obviously likes you hyung and I saw how you were looking at him. I always thought you looked at Mini like he was some over excited puppy you'd risk your life to protect but Jesus, you look at Jungkook like he hung the moon and the stars. Or," he pauses with a lopsided smile. "I'll do you one better."
"Please don't," Yoongi tries to interject.
"You look at him like you'd give him the moon and the stars if he even hinted that he wanted them, just to make him happy."
Yoongi pouts harder. He's annoyed with everything Namjoon's saying. Everything he seemed to have noticed after one meeting with his youngest friend, but he's even more annoyed that he can feel himself blushing.
Jimin's told Yoongi this before, which makes him think Namjoon's just parroting his boyfriend, but Yoongi's too busy trying to fight his blushing and calm his palpitating heart to verbalize that accusation.
He also, deep down, knows Namjoon's right.
He knows he has a special place in his heart for Jungkook. That he has an especially soft spot for him.
Namjoon has put it quite dramatically, but it also has an annoying amount of truth to it. Yoongi can't argue with him. Not really.
All he can do is grumble about how he wouldn't have said yes to Namjoon's invitation to have lunch of he'd known this conversation would be happening, which just makes the younger man laugh.
Thankfully the rest of their drive is spent with Namjoon raving about the small, hole in the wall barbecue place they're headed to.
......
When a new text came in and Jungkook saw the name of the sender he'd quickly wiped his hands clean of the paint staining his fingers so he could open it.
He'd nearly dropped the phone after reading what it said.
[Yoongi hyung 🐱]
Hi Kook. I was wondering if you're free this Sunday evening? I was planning on making Tteokbokki for dinner and I know it's your favorite if you want to come over.
Jungkook reads the text about seven times, just trying to process what's happening.
Yoongi is asking him to have dinner with him and his house. Yoongi is asking him.
His thumbs spring into action.
[Me]
I love your cooking hyung! Of course I'll be there.
A reply comes back almost immediately.
[Yoongi hyung 🐱]
Great :] Why don't you come over around 5
He really shouldn't read into this or make it into something it probably isn't. His inner voice yells this at him.
Besides, Yoongi invites all of his friends over often to eat a meal he cooks. Maybe it isn't even just Jungkook he's inviting.
Hmm...
[Me]
Will anyone else be there?
Jungkook purses his lips, realizing that question may be a bit forward. He decides to add something to make the question seem more light and casual.
[Me]
Just because if they are I might ask for a ride.
It's mostly true. Jungkook would normally try to carpool if they were all going to hang out. Hoseok lived close to him. Taehyung even closer. It wouldn't be abnormal.
[Yoongi hyung 🐱]
Sorry to disappoint but it'll just be boring old me. Do you want me to pick you up?
Jungkook smiles wide, his fingers flying across his screen as he types.
[Me]
You're not boring! And I'm definitely not disappointed. I like when it's just us.
After ten minutes Yoongi still hasn't texted back and his mind starts to spiral.
He bites his lip. Was that too bold? Maybe it was...
He didn't mean to make things awkward. He won't even be surprised if Yoongi doesn't reply-
Suddenly his phone vibrates with another text.
[Yoongi hyung 🐱]
Okay Kook. If you say so. I'll see you Sunday
Jungkook can't get a read of Yoongi's mood out of that but it doesn't matter because he has plans with Yoongi just the two of them!
He's can't help the happy little dance he does, stomping his feet with his phone held tightly to his chest, smiling widely.
He doesn't know how he's going to manage his excitement until Sunday! He knows these next couple of days are going to drag on but he'll push through.
Sunday can't come soon enough.
.......
"Okay it's done," Yoongi announces, cheeks burning as he buries his face in his folded arms.
He's in Namjoon's apartment, hunched over the kitchen table, his phone sitting on its cold surface next to him.
"See, that wasn't so hard now was it," Namjoom grins. "Good job hyung!"
"Don't patronize me, Joon," Yoongi grumbles, voice muffled.
"I bet he's so excited."
"For free food? Probably," Yoongi mumbles. "He doesn't even like me like that. He's my friend, I'm his hyung. That's it."
"Talk to me again on Monday and we'll see if anything has changed."
Yoongi bites his lip.
There are times he feels like forever ago that he did think Jungkook maybe likes him, but then he comes back to reality and realizes Jeon Jungkook, with his kind soul and wonder filled eyes, would never look at Yoongi any way other than platonically.
Sure, he admires Yoongi. He's told him as much dozens of times.
Sure he looks at Yoongi with his irises shining like the night sky full of stars, but he looks at all of his hyung's that way.
Like he's just a little bit in love with them. And that's because he does love them. Platonically.
He looks at Yoongi that I'm a little in love way but he knows he isn't special.
He's shy and quiet. So quiet that he can come off a bit intimidating sometimes and none of those things are traits that attract people like Jungkook.
Jungkook is so full of life. Of energy and laughter. Of light and goodness and beauty.
Yoongi looks like walking death half the time due to the fact he doesn't sleep or eat as much as he should.
Jungkook loves to exercise and be active, Yoongi wants to be a rock in his next life.
They are very much the opposite of each other. It's kind of a miracle Jungkook acknowledges and treats Yoongi as a friend at all really.
At least Yoongi thinks so.
They get along well enough to consider each other close friends.
Yoongi doesn't know what the kid sees in him that makes him want to hang out with him at all but he's not going to take it for granted.
He likes talking and spending time with Jungkook. He's genuinely looking forward to hanging out with him and he's not going to build this up into any more than it is which is friends hanging out, no matter what Namjoon and Jimin say about Jungkook's supposed "feelings."
.......
At five o' clock on the dot Jungkook knocks on Yoongi's door.
When his hyung opens the door with an apron on and Hello Kitty fuzzy socks, the ones Jin bought him as a gag gift that he swears he hates but wears much too often for that statement to ever be believable, and an ombré cotton candy pink and sky blue fluffy sweater with light colored jeans.
He looks adorably soft and cozy. Jungkook wants to wrap his arms around him and never let go.
"You look so cute hyung!" He can't help but coo as he steps into the apartment, immediately toeing his shoes off.
Yoongi's face quickly warms, a pretty pink close to that of his sweater spreading across his cheeks and nose.
He quietly clears his throat, fingers tugging on his earlobe shyly.
Jungkook looks at his hyung, watching him opening his mouth as if he's going to respond, then closing it again.
After a beat more Jungkook takes pity on him. He didn't necessarily mean to make him shy. He was just stating a fact.
"It smells really good, hyung. Thanks for inviting me," he smiles brightly. "I love your Tteokbokki."
"I know you do," Yoongi ducks his head, walking past Jungkook towards the kitchen.
Jungkook follows behind, giggling quietly to himself.
He's just so happy.
His happiness only grows as he follows Yoongi to the kitchen.
The apartment smelt amazing from the second Yoongi opened the door but now that they're sitting down at the table– already set with food, shallow bowls and silverware– the smell makes his mouth water.
Yoongi not only made Tteokbokki but fried chicken too with sides of rice and kimchi. Another one of Jungkook's favorite things Yoongi makes!
There are also bottles of Makgeolli on the table for each of them but also a pitcher of ice water as an alternative beverage option.
Jungkook gapes at the spread.
Yoongi put a lot of effort into this. His text made it sound like he was making just the one thing for them to eat.
Jungkook convinced himself not to read in or build up any expectations.
Yoongi doesn't like him.
Jungkook knows none of this means what he wishes it did.
That isn't going to stop him from letting Yoongi know just how impressed and grateful he is.
"Hyung this is so much!" He lifts his gaze to Yoongi where he's sat across from him.
Yoongi's shoulders tense. "I kind of got carried away... but I had chicken I needed to cook. And this kimchi needs to get eaten too..."
"It's great hyung, I'm just sorry I didn't think to come earlier. I could have helped," he pouts.
He wasn't doing anything before this. Basically just worked out, trying to burn off his extra energy as well as distract himself from overthinking until it was time to get showered and dressed to come here.
Yoongi waves his hand dismissively. "You didn't need to come early. I was perfectly fine. I just want you to enjoy the food, okay? I made it for you. They're your favorites."
After speaking Yoongi immediately takes Jungkook's bowl and begins placing portions of food into it.
Jungkook's heart flutters in his chest as a warm, comforting feeling blossoms within him.
Yoongi's done this before. He likes to serve his friends when they're eating. Especially if he's the one who cooked it.
This isn't anything new, but, and maybe it's because this is happening right after Yoongi's previous statement but the whole scene is making Jungkook feel antsy.
Like if he doesn't let his feelings out right now he might explode into a cloud of regret and unprofessed adoration.
The feeling is overwhelming. Evidently overwhelming enough to make him blurt out "I really like you."
His jaw snaps shut as soon as the words are out in the open, floating awkwardly as they distribute their weight over both of them.
Fuck. Jungkook didn't want to say that. At least not yet.
He was going to take this two weeks of Jimin being gone, unable to steel away Yoongi's attention to apparently over share about his relationship with Namjoon, to do it.
He was going to draw it out and use this time to slowly build up to his confession. To show Yoongi he could be seen as more than a friend before telling him how he felt.
The last thing he imagined was blurting it out like this.
But he has... and Yoongi isn't looking at him.
Seems to be avoiding Jungkook's eyes that are glued to his face on purpose as they search for any sort of tell as to what Yoongi's thinking and feeling.
After a few more seconds Yoongi places the bowl back down onto the table along with the metal chopsticks he'd been using to pick up the food.
"You like me?" Yoongi asks simply, face carefully blank.
"So much," Jungkook gulps. He might as well be honest.
Yoongi hums, nodding slowly.
"For how long?" He finally asks.
Jungkook's kind of caught off guard by the sudden line of questioning but he's happy to answer.
The cat's out of the bag now. There's no putting it back in.
"Basically since we met..." Jungkook nibbles his lip.
The dry chuckle Yoongi lets out takes Jungkook off guard.
The sound of it makes him a bit confused. His next sentence really takes that confusion to a higher level.
"Jimin was right."
At the mention of his name Jungkook stiffens.
"Jimin?" Jungkook's brows pull together. "What does Jimin have to do with anything?"
Yoongi's eyes snap up to meet his. "He's apparently been talking to Namjoon about how daft I am when it comes to you."
"O-oh..." Jungkook says instead of voicing that he totally agrees with Jimin on this one.
Jungkook doesn't think he could have been more obvious he was interested in Yoongi without coming out and saying it.
He finally reached a point recently where he just couldn't handle all these feelings and decided he had to show and tell Yoongi how he felt, but he had previously been hesitant because-
"I thought he liked you... I thought he liked you and he's so pretty and flirty and that's the main reason why I was worried I lost my chance with you."
Yoongi shakes his head immediately. "I love Jiminie but I could never feel anything romantic for him. And he flirts with everyone. He doesn't even mean to most of the time," he comments before tilting his head. "Why didn't you ask me before now if anything was going on with he and I?"
Jungkook bites his bottom lip, "I wasn't sure I wanted to know the answer... if he did like you and you liked him back I'm pretty sure I would have had a small break down about how now my life would involve working incredibly hard to be supportive of you two instead of punching him every time I saw you together."
Yoongi chuckles lowly. "It kinda sounds like you wanted to do that anyway."
Jungkook lets out an indignant whine. "I don't want to talk about that. It's embarrassing."
Yoong smiles. "It's not embarrassing."
Jungkook eyes him skeptically. The smile on Yoongi's face is that one he puts on when he's about to tease you.
"You just like me so much," Yoongi's eyes shine. "It's not embarrassing you were jealous."
Jungkook blushes but he's still grins widely at Yoongi's words. "I was jealous and yes, I do like you so much."
Yoongi's smile widens. Jungkook's heart hammers in his chest because it looks a whole lot like Yoongi's happy with Jungkook's sudden confession. That he may even possibly-
"I like you so much too."
Jungkook inhales a sharp breath.
He goes silent, as does Yoongi, the both of them just staring at each other.
Jungkook's sure his expression looks like he's just seen a ghost.
Yoongi looks amused like he himself is the ghost who popped out at Jungkook.
"Should we call tonight a date then?" He asks, his expression softening when Jungkook's nose scrunches happily while he lets out a melodious giggle.
"Hyung I've wanted to date you for so long! The other night was kinda supposed to be a date and- don't get me wrong, once Namjoon introduced himself as Jimin's boyfriend I was happy he was there, but when I first saw him? Man I was worried. I thought you were with him. That I'd lost my chance."
"Kook-ah, you always had a chance. I just told myself not to get my hopes up that you would ask me for one."
"I'm asking now," Jungkook's eyes sparkle. "Can I have a chance to date you hyung?"
Yoongi's smile widens even more. "Of course Kook-ah. I'd like that very much."
.......
"Excuse me! Earth to Jungkook," Jungkook and Yoongi hear suddenly and- oh. Right.
He immediately freezes, hand stilling where it was drawing shapes with his fingertips on Yoongi's upper thigh.
He and Yoongi turn their heads– they keep their bodies angled towards each other, looking away from the man beside them being hard enough as it is– to look across the dining table.
It's Jimin who had spoken.
"What?" Jungkook asks shortly.
Jimin huffs, turning to Namjoon. "We weren't like that when we first started dating, right?" He asks, side eyeing the couple across from him. "All gross and-"
"You were way worse," Yoongi scoffs. "Shall I remind you of the first time the three of us hung out after you two got together? When I kicked you out of my apartment midway through whatever movie we were watching because Jimin literally disappeared under the blanket on Joon's lap?" Yoongi recounts with a grimace before turning to Jungkook.
"It was so gross, Kookie. He was five seconds away from blowing my best friend on my precious sofa. I nap there!"
Jungkook stares with a terribly adoring smile.
Yoongi's pouting. Jungkook really wants to kiss him.
So he does.
It isn't their first kiss. Jungkook's actually not sure what number this would be, but it still feels just as amazing as the first time.
Jungkook had spent so much time thinking, dreaming, about what it would be like to kiss his hyung.
He's thought about kissing him soft and slow. Or rushed and deep with need. Thought about kissing him like he can't survive one more second unless he has Yoongi's painfully enticing pouty lips against his.
Kissing Yoongi has always been a fantasy Jungkook never fully believed would turn into reality. He still can't really believe that it has.
So he ignores the indignant groans coming from the couple across the table as he places a hand behind Yoongi's neck, pulling him closer and angling his head as Yoongi's tongue swipes across his lip.
The tiny moan Yoongi lets out seems to be the final straw for the couple.
"I was going to ask you to pass me the salt but now I've lost my appetite," Jimin comments.
Jungkook can hear the annoyance in his voice. He doesn't feel bad enough about ignoring him and Namjoon to stop kissing Yoongi long enough to open his eyes and apologize though.
He does crack an eye open when he hears Namjoon tell Jimin they should give the happy couple some privacy.
Jungkook knew he liked Namjoon.
Jimin complains the whole way to the front door but Jungkook's stopped trying to listen closely enough to discern the words he's saying.
Nothing else exists now that Yoongi's in his lap, nipping and suckling at his bottom lip.
"Bedroom," Yoongi nearly growls when Jungkook's hands move to his hips, guiding them to grind down against where Jungkook is rapidly hardening in his jeans.
Jungkook immediately moves his hands to cup under Yoongi's thighs as he pushes his chair away from the table.
The food is forgotten, so is the fact that tonight was meant to be a sort of double date at Yoongi's place because Jimin and Namjoon wanted to spend time with and congratulate the new couple.
(When Jimin got back from his trip a few days ago he'd already been all caught up thanks to Namjoon on the match making he insists he and his boyfriend did to bring Yoongi and Jungkook together.
He's not wrong. He and Namjoon, mostly Namjoon, did help move things along, but Jungkook already planned on telling Yoongi how he felt while Jimin was gone.
He made sure Jimin knew that. Whether he believed him or not Jungkook didn't really care.)
Yoongi groans when Jungkook lifts him as he stands up from his chair.
Jungkook learned pretty quickly that Yoongi has a not so subtle affinity for his muscles.
He loves to be held and cuddled in Jungkook's arms. Loves when Jungkook's combs his fingers through his hair and tells him how beautiful he is.
He loves when Jungkook's gentle with him but he also loves being picked up and manhandled by the younger.
He even loves how possessive Jungkook is.
Loves when Jungkook has total control and takes care of him and who is Jungkook to deny his boyfriend of the things he loves?
