Chapter 44
Yoongi drove to the courthouse, one hand holding Namjoon's like always.
Even though it had only been two days that he was stuck in the house, he was glad to be behind the wheel again.
He looked over at the student quickly.
Namjoon was looking out the window, holding Yoongi's hand softly between both of his own.
"I'm proud of you baby," Yoongi squeezed his hand. "You're doing the right thing. Dom will never leave you, I promise."
Namjoon nodded. "I know. I trust you."
And Yoongi was trusting him too, to not suddenly change his mind and stick to the rules of the original bet.
They parked at the courthouse and Yoongi led him inside.
"Mr. Min, Mr. Kim!" Judge Hwang waved them over. "Let me tell you, when I saw you two made an appointment with me again I got so giddy! I'm very invested in this unique bet of yours!"
They followed the judge into his office and took the same seats they had chosen last time, when Yoongi had wanted to get the bet voided.
"So, how can I help you two today?" The judge smiled.
Namjoon spoke up.
"We want to null the current bet and make a new one."
Yoongi smiled at him, proud his baby was doing this.
"Of course." The judge pulled out a new paper. "And what will be the details of the new bet?"
-
"Nyan-cupcake!"
Hoseok raced across the park, Jungkook and Jimin running after him.
Yoongi pulled out more tea, setting up the snacks on their picnic blanket. "Hey everyone."
"Hi Mr. Min." Jungkook shyly sat down.
"Hey Joonie!" Jimin plopped down beside Namjoon. "What's new?"
Namjoon hummed, taking some of the fresh fruit. "A lot."
"Since he missed so much school this year, he has to be held back a grade." Yoongi explained as they all settled down to eat.
Jimin gasped. "We'll be in the same grade then?!"
"You're transferring schools?" Namjoon asked.
Jimin nodded, leaning on Hoseok. "Yeah, I wanted to be closer to my boyfriend."
"I'm gunna blow you every day in the locker rooms." Hoseok kissed the model.
Namjoon rolled his eyes, but he was happy he would have a friend in his new grade. He would work hard and be the number one student again in no time.
And the best part of all was that Taehyung was never going to get in his way again.
"What about you two?" Jungkook asked. "Didn't the bet end like a week ago?"
"It did." Yoongi nodded.
"So..." Hoseok looked at both of them. "Who won?"
"We both did." Namjoon sipped his tea as he leaned against Yoongi.
"What kinda cliché romance happy ending is that?" Hoseok asked.
"Ours." Yoongi wrapped his arms around Namjoon.
Enough was said, and the group enjoyed their picnic in the approaching summer warmth.
-
"Yoongi?" Seokjin was surprised when he opened his door to see the little dom and Namjoon standing there. "What are you two doing here?"
"Can we come in?" Namjoon asked, and the pretty switch stepped back to let them inside, still surprised.
Yoongi looked around the familiar house. It was quiet without Taehyung and Jimin living here anymore, and Yoongi knew Seokjin was definitely lonely on his own.
"We voided the bet." Yoongi said, and Seokjin almost collapsed with relief.
"Oh, that's great to hear." Seokjin tried to keep his voice neutral. "Why? I thought you were both agreeing to just date and didn't need the bet anyways."
"We made a new bet." Namjoon informed him.
Seokjin looked sad. "Oh...well, I suppose there's nothing I can do to stop you two."
"You can't." Yoongi agreed. "But...I owe you a thank you, Jinnie."
Seokjin blinked. "For what?"
"You were looking out for me this whole time. And while I don't agree with the way you chose to protect me, the fact remains that you had my best interests at heart, so thank you. For being a loyal friend." Yoongi said.
Seokjin smiled. "Of course-"
"But if you ever try to come for Namjoon again I'll bury you alive." Yoongi warned.
Seokjin nodded slowly. "Trust me, I would never. Especially with Taehyung not whispering in my ear anymore."
"And I'm sorry." Yoongi said softly. "I was blind to your feelings about me for years and I can't imagine how I made you feel. You were my best friend for a decade, and all the times we were intimate, it must have hurt."
What hurt was hearing that he wasn't Yoongi's best friend anymore, but he understood why. And he was just glad and thankful that Yoongi was still talking to him and allowing him to be in his life. And maybe with time he could even earn that best friend spot again.
He nodded. "I appreciate it, Yoongi. And you too, Namjoon. For what you did for me."
Namjoon shrugged. "You weren't the same as Taehyung, so you didn't deserve to get put away too."
"So you'll stop holding that threat of redacting your statement to the police over my head?" Seokjin asked hopefully.
Namjoon shrugged.
Seokjin sighed. "Fair."
-
"The more I look at this, the more they seem like wedding vows." Namjoon commented as he watched Yoongi hang the new contract up on the wall.
Yoongi smiled as he read it over again. "Maybe in a two years we can recycle them into vows."
"I have to wait two years?" Namjoon pouted.
"You need to finish school first, and I need to find a new job." Yoongi reminded him. "Besides, therapy is going to take up a lot of your time and I want you to focus on that and nothing else."
He kissed the students little nose and Namjoon wrinkled it cutely.
"Come on baby, dom wants to give you a bath."
Namjoon happily followed after him. "You'll come in with me?"
"Of course, baby."
They giggled as the door shut behind them, ready to spend some time together like before.
"Dom will always do anything to make his baby happy."
-
I, Min Yoongi, henceforth referred to as dom, and I, Kim Namjoon, henceforth referred to as baby, am signing this document of my own free will.
The dom promises to always love, value, respect, cherish and admire the baby, for as long as he shall live.
The baby promises to go to therapy three days a week, and must always tell the dom how he is feeling. He must take it easy in school, and be nicer to his friends. He also promises to love, value, respect, cherish and admire the dom, for as long as he shall live.
If for any reason at any time, either party feels the other has not stuck to this contract, they must have a discussion about it, and both parties promise to go separate ways amicably if it seems best to do so.
The dom promises to never leave the baby.
The baby promises to never imprison the dom.

"Yoongi?" Namjoon asked later that night as they were getting ready for bed.
"Yes, sweetheart?" Yoongi hummed, pulling on his night shirt.
"Will you go out with me?"
Yoongi paused, stunned for a second. He faced the student.
"I thought I was going to be the one to ask that." He laughed, climbing into bed beside the boy.
Namjoon shrugged. "You took too long."
Yoongi smiled, cupping Namjoon's face and leaning in to kiss him deeply.
"Yes, baby. Of course I will."
Namjoon beamed, feeling butterflies erupting in his tummy.
"I love you, baby." Yoongi held him under the covers.
Namjoon sighed, at peace, as he hugged him as well.
"I love you too, dom."
