Chapter 10

"My handsome boy," his mother cooed as she fixed Namjoon's hair later that day.

Namjoon swatted her hands away. "Stop, I'm not two years old!"

"Just let me-"

"No!" Namjoon jumped up when she grabbed the scissors.

"You just have a few loose ends." She said, walking over. "Come here, let me-"

"Don't you dare!" Namjoon warned her, running to the other side of the table.

"You have to look presentable for Jimin," She glared. "I-"

Namjoon was saved when the bell rang, and he quickly raced to it. Throwing the door open, he was surprised to see a man in a suit standing there, and a sleek black limo parked out front.

Namjoon blinked.

The window rolled down and Jimin poked his head out with a beautiful smile, waving.

"Hey- Namjoon!" The model called. "Come on!"

"Oh my." His mother said, standing behind the surprised student.

Namjoon walked over, with the man in the suit opening the door for him. He slid inside the leather seats, stretching his long legs out in the space in front of him.

"So," the model faced him, sitting on his own couch. "Nice to meet you, I'm Park Jimin."

The model was wearing a tight black shirt and matching jeans, silver necklaces hanging from his neck. His earrings were silver and dangling too. He was definitely a model, and by the way the limo was scented with a fresh cologne, an aspiring perfume influencer as well.

"Kim Namjoon." Namjoon held out his hand.

"Sorry for...all this." Jimin leaned back, rising one leg up onto the seat as he waved around the limo. "My parents are all about first impressions."

"I know the feeling." Namjoon muttered, running a hand over his hair.

Jimin dug into a cooler and pulled out a bottle of champagne. "Want some?"

"Actually, do you have anything else?" Namjoon asked.

Jimin dug around more and pulled out a can of pop. "This good?"

"Thanks." Namjoon accepted it and cracked the tab open.

"I'll have that too," Jimin decided, putting away the alcohol and grabbing out a pop as well. "Cheers!"

Namjoon smiled as he clinked cans with the model. "You're more down to earth than I was expecting."

Jimin laughed. "Aw, were you dreading our date, Mr. Namjoon?"

"Kinda." Namjoon shrugged.

Jimin stuck his tongue out playfully. "Be glad they're letting us date first before they force the arranged marriage."

Namjoon snorted. "Shut up before they hear you."

"Should I turn up the assholery to turn your parents away from me?" Jimin asked. "I'll have Sergio run a baby over and then sue it for getting in my way."

"They'll help you sue the baby." Namjoon said. "You're just turning them on more."

Jimin laughed genuinely, and Namjoon liked the sound of it.

"For a kid whose parents are villains, you're not much of one." Jimin sipped his drink. "I guess we both aren't what the other was expecting."

Namjoon sipped his pop too, to avoid answering.

-

The limo parked in front of a fancy looking restaurant that Namjoon hadn't been to before, and the man in the suit, Cassie, escorted them both inside.

Heads turned as the two attractive boys walked in, and eyes followed them to their table.

"Here you are," the waiter handed them both glossy menu's. "And what wine can I start you both off with?"

Namjoon wondered why he was even being asked that, when they were obviously underage and they hadn't even been asked for their IDs, but Jimin cut in first.

"None for us, actually. We'll take some milkshakes- chocolate."

Namjoon was surprised as the waiter hurried away. "I haven't had a milkshake in years."

"Me neither." Jimin confessed. "That's why I wanted one. My parents don't allow them because they're fattening, but I love them."

"Me too." Namjoon smiled, much preferring milkshakes over wine.

They ordered their food, and ignored the way they were obviously the center of attention.

A camera flash went off but Jimin paid it no mind, shoveling spaghetti into his mouth.

"Doesn't that bother you?" Namjoon asked, holding up his menu to hide his face.

Jimin shrugged, slurping up the long noodle. "I'm kinda used to it. If Oh Sehun was here, I would be shoving my camera in his face too, so I can't really blame people."

They finished dinner, and Namjoon was surprised at how fast time had flown. He had actually really liked hanging out with Jimin, and even though he was still wearing the panties Yoongi had bought him, Namjoon was having a good day.

"You're a chill guy." Namjoon said as they climbed back in the limo. "Thanks for not being a cliché."

"Thanks for not being obsessed with me or only be after my money." Jimin smiled. "I had fun tonight."

"Me too." Namjoon said honestly.

Jimin's smile turned mischievous. "Wanna stick our heads out the sunroof?"

"That's illegal." Namjoon pointed out.

Jimin waited.

"Yeah let's do it." Namjoon stood up and Jimin pushed a button, sliding a portion of the roof back.

Wind whipped their hair around as the two boys stood on the leather seats, laughing into the wind.

And for the first time since he met him, Namjoon forgot about Yoongi.
