Chapter Two

Iris sighed. She and her brothers had a week off of school and it was, while very relaxing, extremely boring. 'Gods and Heroes' had helped at first but it was starting to get old. Playing the same scenarios over and over got dull very fast. She still loved the game of course, but she thought it just needed a bit more..action, for lack of a better word. Danny and Michael didn't seem to think so however, if anything, they thought that the game was perfectly action filled and they were content to continue doing the sales things over with tiny changes so long as someone's doll 'died'.

She walked out of her room and headed over to the kitchen to grab a soda when she heard something odd coming from the room where they stored the dolls and houses.

She knocked on the door and called out, "Danny? Michael? You guys in there?"

When she received no answer she slowly opened the door to reveal..nothing. Nothing out of the ordinary that is. She heard the strange noises again, it sounded like a bunch of tiny feet or something similar. She looked around and found that the four main dolls that they played with were missing from their normal place upon the small table in the middle of the room. She looked around briefly but she couldn't find the dolls. The sounds of tiny feet grew more frequent and louder. And Iris could have sworn she heard voices.

"Hey.. Who's there? Show yourself!"

She realized that this was probably a bad idea but at the moment she didn't care. She wanted to know what was going on. Again, no answer but the whispers and footsteps grew louder for a second.

She walked towards the small area where her brothers had set up the houses for the dolls. She felt something brush against her foot. She looked down to find Jordan, her doll.

"Hello.. how'd you get there Jordan?"

She reached down and gently picked the doll up. It felt..different. Normally, the doll was soft and made of plush materials. But now it felt like the doll was..alive! The doll didn't give way and go limp like it should have, if anything it stiffened up. The doll felt somewhat warm, as though it was just recently held. It looked somewhat strange as well..

Iris shook her head. She must be imagining it.

"Now then, where have your friends gone, Jordan?" She mumbled to herself, not expecting an answer.

"I..I think they're still hiding because of your size, m'lady..", a tiny voice called out. Iris froze.

"Wh-who said that?" She tightened her grip on the doll. She heard a soft whine and felt the..doll? Yes, the doll move around a bit in her hand.

"Uh, I did m'lady. Also, would you mind not squeezing me? It kind of hurts.." Iris slowly looked down to see that the doll; no Jordan, was struggling in her hand seeming rather uncomfortable. Jordan weakly waved at her and gave a shy smile.

"Hello Ianite.."

Iris screamed out in shock and flung the doll, or..whatever Jordan counted as now, away from her. Jordan let out a scream as he flew across the room, luckily landing on a pile of stuffed animals that Danny used as monsters. He landed on top of a black dragon and groaned.

"What was that for..?"

Iris quickly backed up into the door, attempting to comprehend the situation.

"Jordan!"she heard another voice call out.

And from behind one of the houses, Tom's to be specific, came who else but Tom. He ran over to the pile of stuffed animals and climbed up towards Jordan.

"You ok, Sparkly Pants?" he asked, laying a hand on Jordan's shoulder.

Jordan sat up and nodded, "Y-yeah, I'm good.. Just a bit shaken up I guess."

Tom glared at Iris, who was still staring disbelievingly at the two...things?

"Oi! Why'd you do that? He only said hi!" he shouted in a..strangely British accent.

"Tom? Jordan? Is everything alright over there?" Another voice, a female one this time.

Iris looked over to see the last two dolls, Tucker and Sonja step out from behind Tom's house.

"We're fine guys! I just scared m'lady, I guess."

"Uh..guys? Is Ianite ok?" The four tiny people((?)) looked over to where Iris sat.

She was holding her heading and muttering to herself while she stared at them all. "This isn't happening.. This isn't happening.. This had gotta be a dream..!"

"...I'm sure she'll be fine! I..I think so anyways." said Tom semi-confidently.

Jordan made his way down the pile of stuffed animals (and was quickly followed by Tom) and over to Iris. He stopped in front of her and laid a hand on her leg, as that's all he could reach. Tucker and Sonja stood a little ways back, still wary of Iris. Tom however, stood bravely a few steps behind Jordan and had his hand on the handle of the tiny plastic sword he had strapped to his belt, in case she flung Jordan away again (though it wouldn't do much against her). Apparently he was rather protective of Jordan.

Iris would have though it cute if she wasn't questioning her sanity.

"M'lady?" Jordan called out again, tugging on her pants leg.

"Is she really gonna be ok?"

"She looks sorta sick.."

"Really? I thought she was just pale.." Iris stared at all the..people (would be the most accurate description she had at the moment) that stood before her. She took a deep breath, gently pushed Jordan away from her and then promptly slumped to the floor, unconscious.
