Sunseekers will be like team rocket in this world.

Sunseeker is a team of people who seek to be powerful. Blinded by strength and power they use Dollivians and artifacts they find to achieve their goals.

The sunseekers are led by a man named Dr. Conway.

Other smaller leaders include Captain Sephtis, Ashby, and Constance.

They are the reason behind the missing Ultra Beasts, and a lot of missing dollivians. They plan on using the Ultra Beasts to build an army, and possibly make an attack on the mainland, and blame it on the "evil" ghost types.

History:

Sunseekers has been around for a long time, starting all the way back to ancient times as a cult. It was them who started the rumors of ghost types being possessed by evil spirits.
This is because they planned on awaken Ibis, a fiery monster from the earth's core to cleanse the world. But this was stopped by the Grand Specter and other ghost types, so they started rumors and false stories.

And at the time Sunseekers were in high roles like the bishops and priests, even dukes, duchess, and more. So they easily influenced the people and caused massive destruction on the ghost's homelands.

Today:

This is still their plan but despite the damage they've done to ghost type, there is still a lot of resistance thanks to Tariks. So the faction is hoping to lure Tariks out to capture(or kill) him.
Either way they need Tariks amulet to unleash Ibis on the world.
