Misplayed note

The sound of a broken glass is like a misplayed note.

As Jane approached the table at the dark corner, she felt something weird under her feet cracked every single time she made a movement, even the slightest one. But there was nothing there. "Oh my funny cracking bones," she thought. She couldn’t help accepting that it was just the crazy, stupid imagination of her aching brain. Maybe it wasn’t her bones being cracked, but her brain exploding. Her vision was blurry, she got a nasty taste on her tongue, and her memory of the whole day was like missing.

The man looked at her and said something, but she couldn’t understand. Suddenly, someone ran into her, and by the voice and height of that person, she could tell that was a little girl. The girl fell and screamed hard and miserably. Wait a minute, this is no place for children, she thought. She wanted to ask someone, just to say the question out loud since her vision was not providing a good enough sight for her to tell anyone was around. However, there was a pain on her tongue kept her from doing so. She found herself kneeing and licking the floor desperately and the very last thought on her mind was how tasty the floor was.

"Holy s***," screaming someone. People started to yell and run, some desperately hustled at front door, some broke windows and throw themselves through. The nearest couple froze, stared at what was happening: a girl licking blood on the floor.

"Oh, this is bad," the man said, but the woman didn't seem to listening anymore, she started to put her eyes on the far dark hallway lead to the toilet. Her face was full with an extreme scare and overwhelming worry. She mumbled something unclear, and trembled hard. Blood appeared everywhere from nowhere, quickly covered the whole club. Even her body was bleeding hard. Drained, she felt on her knee. Her eyes were wet and hot, like she was crying, but when what she thought was her tear touched her tongue, it was an exceptional different taste. Noises covered her ears. She coughed and her eyes were closed.

"Break," a male voice cleared all the noises, and she felt her strength back again. She opened her eyes and found all the blood, except around the blood licking girl, was gone. Most of what she felt and saw before was just an illusion she built up herself. She did it again, she though she could completely heal herself, but she was definitely wrong. It had never been the same, not since he was gone. Fortunately, someone helped her, but bad stuff wasn't over yet.

"Oh come on, isn't that vampire girl your illusion?" She realized she had a company. James wasn't tall, neither big, but he was standing in front trying to cover her. He failed to do so as she could see clearly what he was facing. The blood licking girl raised on her feet. Her eyes was blank, there wasn't any sight of pupils. Her mouth was wide opened, with two long fangs pointed like two deadly spikes made for killing.

Blood was dropping on her feet, where broken pieces of a glass were dyed red.
