i stared at the plain wall in sorrow. today was the day, the day i break up with grayson. our relationship is toxic, either he gets way to jealous and harsh towards me, or i nag him around. it was better being friends.

i hate to be the one to do this, but i have to be the bigger person. i know he won't do it. he's too stubborn.

my eyelashes brushed against the top of my cheeks lightly as i closed my eyes; trying my best not to let tears fall. i cracked my knuckles before standing up.

as i was about to walk, grayson walked in my room.

his eyes were puffy and a bright red. his hair was frizzy, and his lips were chapped."grayson," i said, walking up towards him.

"y/n, i have to tell you." his voice cracked. my heart thumped loudly. i nodded, telling him to finish im his sentence. "i-i, i need to break up with you."

i didn't know what to feel, relieved or sad.
"that's what i wanted to talk about."

grayson took a seat on my bed. "we're just not meant to be in a relationship."

i sat next to grayson, placing a friendly hand on his thigh. "i feel as we were better off as friends," and with those words, graysons face softened.

"i'm glad you're taken this so well, i wish i could've told you sooner." he smiled. i smiled back. "of course bup."

he hugged me tightly and warmly. he gives great hugs. "why were you crying, though?" i asked.

"i didn't want to see you sad."

i cracked a smile and hugged him again. "grayson?" i asked, not pulling away from the hug. "yeah?" he responded.

"wanna play overcooked on the nintendo switch?" i smirked.

"hell yeah."
