People think that the words

'I love you'

Are like birthdays:

Only to be brought out on special occasions,

To give to someone as a celebration,

Or a congratulations.

I believe the words

Are more like breakfasts:

Small, everyday moments that mean so much

For the rest of our day,

And ones we can remember when we need a boost.

What people don't know about the words

'I love you'

Is that they need to be said often:

On breakfasts, birthdays, watching movies and cuddling in bed,

Because people forget that in a single moment,

Three words can be too late to say.
