Chapter Forty-Six
Jin sat there, taking in the scene before him. He was unsure whether to feel thankful or worried. But he had learned to keep his thoughts to himself, especially since it had become normal for him to seem to be the one with a problem. He realized that he also benefited when he kept his thoughts to himself.
"We labeled everything and divided her clothes into sections for the morning and evening. Each day, there are three outfits for the morning and three for the evening. We've been giving her the opportunity to choose her outfits as she grows and develops.
I put together a video that serves as a tutorial on how to arrange each outfit on the bed. If you place her in the middle, she will crawl to the one she prefers. The video and others I've made will be provided to you if you have any questions or forget how to do something."
After hearing Jungkook, Jin's mother, Eun-yoo, said, "You didn't have to do that. We have raised Seokjin and—"
"That was quite some time ago. The times have evolved." Jin's father interrupted his wife. Then he turned to face Jungkook and added, "Don't listen to my wife," grinning. "We appreciate you making such videos for us. I will watch them to ensure that our Seul is properly taken care of, allowing you and my son to have a worry-free honeymoon."
Jin rolled his eyes in silence. He never expected his father to change in that way, yet it became increasingly unsurprising after he observed the past several interactions between his father and Jungkook.
"Thank you, Mr. Kim. Also, Mrs. Kim, I didn't create the videos based on the assumption that you wouldn't know how to care for Seul, but I also didn't want to leave you or Mr. Kim without any guidance. Therefore, it is entirely acceptable for you to care for Seul as you did when my husband was younger.
Seokjin and I often have different approaches to certain tasks, but we collaborate to find the most suitable method, ensuring consistency in our parenting of Seul. This is why I dedicate a significant amount of effort to documenting these methods for you and Mr. Kim, understanding that this is a huge request." To avoid offending Jin's mother, Jungkook tried his best to explain his intentions behind creating the videos and detailing everything he did.
When Jin saw his mother's face break out into a smile, he shook his head but again didn't say anything. Instead, he turned his attention to his daughter, curled up in his arms, relaxing as if she sensed their impending departure, a feeling that tugged at his heart.
In the eight months since he had Seul, this was the first time he would be leaving her for more than a day. Although it was common for Seul to stay overnight at her grandparents' house, her visits never extended beyond that duration.
"Jungkook, I know you did this with great intentions, and I appreciate it. It's not that I am offended. I realize how hard you work and how busy your schedule is, so completing this must have taken a lot of time, which worried me." Jin's mom spoke in a caring tone as she stared at Jungkook.
When caring for my husband, daughter, and Bam, I never find myself in a situation where I am too busy. Priority number one for me is always my family. Therefore, it was not difficult for me to do-"
"You spent the entire night editing and organizing those videos." Jin interrupted Jungkook, unable to remain silent any longer.
"Jungkook, did you? Really?" Eun-yoo asked with concern.
Jungkook briefly examined his watch and stated, "Seokjin has not yet completed his packing. Although I would appreciate the opportunity to continue this conversation, it's not possible today. Maybe when we get back, we can."

"I have not been on here in a while; I forgot how big it was," Jin said after taking a quick look around the aircraft and sitting close to Jungkook. He hunched over his seat to check what Jungkook was doing when he saw him on his phone. He smiled upon realizing he had been watching a video of their daughter. "My parents are going to take excellent care of her."
Jungkook stopped the video and directed his attention to Jin. "I'm optimistic they will, but leaving her there is still difficult. It is more difficult than when I am required to travel for work, as I am normally aware that you are present with her and Bam during those occasions. However, I am not overly concerned about Bam, as I am aware that my brother always takes care of him well. He has already sent me a video of him taking Bam for a walk, one without his husband, and it appeared to be quite peaceful."
"You didn't need to add that at the last part," Jin said, unable to understand Jungkook's issue with Hoseok. "Also, I know what you mean." Jin slid the seat divider back, creating more space for him to draw nearer to Jungkook. Leaning against him, he found comfort as Jungkook's arm reached around him and gently settled at his waist. "It's the first time for me to leave her for such a long time, but I know you wanted us to have a honeymoon, and now it makes the most sense to do it."
"I initially thought we could do without a honeymoon, but after researching, I realized its significance and didn't want you to miss out on the experience. While we've been celebrating our marriage since our wedding last month, the concept of a honeymoon is meant to be the official celebration.
Taehyung also shared your high school journal, in which you expressed your desire to go to Tahiti for your future honeymoon, which is why I chose that location."
Jin's eyes widened, and he pulled back as he looked at Jungkook. "What journal? Taehyung gave you a journal I wrote in high school?"
"Yes, Seokjin, it's a blue journal with gold and pink designs. Initially, I thought it was a book when he gave it to me. I told him I was not into fiction reading, but he insisted it was nonfiction and mentioned that you wrote it. I was confused, but then he explained that it was your journal, and that's when I understood," Jungkook explained.
Jin took a deep breath, trying to contain his anger. "Why would Taehyung give you my journal?"
"He mentioned that if I took the time to read it, I would better understand your preferences, which is important to me. You appear upset. Are you upset, Seokjin?"
"Yes, Jungkook, I am. I thought I had lost that journal, and it was something personal. Even if you were going to read it, you should have only done so with my permission, not Taehyung's!"
"I understand, Seokjin. You don't need to be upset because I haven't read it."
"Then how did you know I wanted to go to Tahiti?" Jin asked.
"Because he showed it to me when he gave me the journal, but I never opened it and read its contents. I intended to inquire about it, but my trip to Japan and our wedding put it out of my mind for a while.
I apologize for not bringing it up earlier. I can see why you're upset, but I don't believe Taehyung's visit was solely about delivering the journal. He stopped by when you were out and I was home. I questioned him extensively about his uninvited visit, and perhaps that's why he passed the journal to me."
Jin sighed, "Whatever, I'm not going to spend the flight focusing on that. I don't mind if you read it. It's all stupid stuff anyway."
Jungkook drew closer to Jin, pressing a tender kiss to his temple. "Remember," he murmured, "we don't use that word when communicating."
"I am sorry. I didn't mean to say 'whatever.' I don't want to dwell on that situation, especially now that I know Taehyung probably didn't willingly hand over the journal to you."
"It's okay. I will say that he willingly gave it to me when I asked about it-"
"Jungkook, let's talk about something else, please," Jin said as he closed his eyes and tried not to think about ripping Taehyung's head off when he saw him again.
"Of course. There's something I've been meaning to talk to you about," Jungkook said, turning to Jin. "I noticed your laptop was left open yesterday, and when I went to close it, I saw that you were in the middle of updating your resume. Are you thinking about applying for a job?"
Jin nodded slowly, "Yes, and I planned to talk to you about that during our trip. I think I want to start looking for a job once we are back. I love staying home with Seul and Bam, but it's time I get moving with my career. The longer I wait to get started, the harder it will be for me eventually."
Jungkook inquired, "Do you genuinely want to do that, or do you perceive it as something you are obligated to do?" He sought a deeper understanding of Jin's motivation.
"It's something I want to do. I know it's not something I must do, as you have never pressured me to feel that way."
"That's wonderful to hear because I want you to be certain that this decision is truly what you want to do. As long as it's your genuine desire, I have no objections. I support any path you choose, except for seeking employment at my company.
Our policies prohibit it, and currently, there isn't a suitable position for you due to your limited professional experience. Perhaps in the future, with more experience, you can explore opportunities there." Jungkook conveyed earnestly, maintaining eye contact with Jin.
Feeling annoyed by Jungkook's comments, Jin replied, "I had never planned on applying to your company. Simply living with you and being married is more than enough for me. Throughout my time in school, I had always considered various companies, but yours was never among them."
Jungkook smiled, "I'm pleased to hear that. Your satisfaction is always my priority. I wish I could offer you more, but my company has a strict anti-nepotism policy.
Besides, your presence, Seokjin, can be quite distracting. Managing that distraction at home is already tough, and I wouldn't be able to handle it in the workplace as well.
I believe the policy is in place for valid reasons, even though I didn't personally create it. It was created by the individuals I brought on board, and I can understand their rationale behind it."
Jin sighed in frustration as he realized that Jungkook hadn't grasped the sarcasm in his response, but he wasn't surprised. He knew there was no point in getting upset; after all, Jungkook was his usual self. Without uttering another word, he leaned back against Jungkook's chest, turned in his seat, and stretched out his legs toward the plane aisle.
Jungkook asked, "Are you tired or upset?" as he tenderly ran his fingers through Jin's hair.
"Neither, I just want to relax," Jin assured Jungkook. "You should be tired, though. You haven't slept in over a day. I think you should go into the room and sleep."
"I don't want to leave you alone out here. Are you coming with me?"
Jin shook his head. "No, I will stay out here and watch a movie. If I come in, I might cause a distraction, and you need to sleep."
"Feel free to distract me; it will contribute to a more restful sleep."
Jin raised an eyebrow as he turned to look at his husband, wanting to ensure he had heard correctly. "You do realize we are on the plane, right?"
"I understand if you don't want to or are uncomfortable. I just recalled our last plane ride and how you..."
"Jungkook, I don't have a problem with it. I just wanted to make sure you knew where we were and that you were fine with it. You are usually the problem, not me. We could have sex right here, and it wouldn't be a problem for me."
Jungkook quickly glanced around to ensure no flight attendant was in sight before returning his eyes to his husband. "Seokjin, that wouldn't be appropriate here."
"I figured you would say that. Presumably, you would also object to our having sex on the beach in Tahiti."
Jungkook's eyes widened. "Where?"
"The beach-"
"I understood your words. I was momentarily surprised by it. I don't think that would be appropriate, Seokjin. Even though we will have a private beach to ourselves, I would prefer that anything we do take place behind closed doors, where I can guarantee the protection of our privacy."
"Okay, I guess I will cross that off my list then," Jin said as he sat up. "Let's go to the room. I'll help you get to sleep."
"That was on your list? I'm curious: what kind of list are you referring to?"
"Yeah, but it's not important. You've always made me feel comfortable in everything we have done. I want to do the same for you as well. It's not that big of a deal to me; it's more something I thought would be nice to do, but not something that must be done," Jin explained, not wanting Jungkook to suddenly feel pressured into doing something he didn't want to.
"Are you sure, Seokjin?" Jungkook expressed concern, as he always prioritized his husband's desires and never wished to stand in the way of what he wanted.
Jin gave a confirming nod as he shifted and settled onto Jungkook's thighs. Cupping his face gently, he expressed, "I am sure! Your boundaries are important to me more than anything else. Please don't dwell on this or feel you're not meeting my needs. I have you, our daughter, and Bam, and that's everything I could ask for."
With a smile, Jungkook said, "Thank you for sharing that. I will work on finding a solution to make your wish a reality. As soon as we land, I will reach out to my contacts, as I believe I have access to a suitable option that fulfills your request while ensuring the privacy we need."
"Jungkook, you don't have to do that. I told you it's-"
Jungkook, holding Jin's waist, asked, "I understand what you said, and we can discuss it later. But for now, can we please go to the room?" He then pulled Jin further up onto his lap.
The moment Jin felt Jungkook's hardness pushing on his ass, he abruptly moved. He laughed and said, "Let's go."

Jin started to remove his clothes when he caught sight of Jungkook rummaging through the bags in the room. After a brief absence, Jungkook returned with a rare look of frustration, something Jin didn't often see in his husband.
"Everything okay?"
"I'm not entirely certain. Where did you happen to place the bag I handed to you while we were in the car?" Jungkook inquired, taking a moment to scan the surroundings and focus his attention on Jin.
Jin paused to recall the bag Jungkook had given him. Suddenly, he realized and said, "I think I left it in the car."
Jungkook released a heavy sigh and raked his fingers through his tousled hair as he lowered himself onto the edge of the bed. "The condoms were in there," he murmured, his frustration evident in his voice.
Jin's expression immediately shifted to regret as he realized he had unintentionally left the bag behind. "I am sorry. When we land, we can get a pack at a store," he offered. Getting off the bed, he knelt in front of Jungkook and added, "For now, let me help you in another way."

A/N: I know some of you wanted a wedding scene for this book. However, in working on this plot, as amusing as it would've been, one was not planned for it, so that's why you didn't get one.
