Assaku (Part Six)
....
.... after some time, it happened. At night, the wind howled like a wolf outside his window when Aru sat on his bed with tightened knees and his head hidden in his knees. Fear and panic were his constant companions. He suffered panic attacks each night and even during the day and he had nightmares from which he woke up screaming. That was when he felt intense aching in his chest. It robbed the little boy's breath and made him gasp. It was like someone rammed a knife into his heart. The pain became heavier and heavier and Aru wanted to scream, but no sound came out of his mouth. He sat there, a tiny ball of pain, with his mouth opened like a mute scream, and his body trembling fiercely. After some moments, the pain faded and Aru felt something running down his right eye. He wiped over it and looked at his hand.... It was stained with something red. Something that smelled like iron... Aru jumped out of bed and looked into his window, saw is own mirror image... A red line was running down his right eye. Blood! As well, his right eye wasn't blue anymore... it was just as red as the blood and the sclera of his eye was black... Aru screamed loudly and shrank back, fell over his own feet and fell on his butt. He lowered his head. "..."
He heard steps coming closer... they were far away but they came closer... and stopped in front of his door... The door was unlocked and pushed open. "Boy?" He heard a voice asking he never heard before. A man, apparently. "Are you alright?!", "...Pardon me? What did you say?" Aru got back up and his voice was suddenly raw. "You screamed. Are you hurt?", "I screamed? Strange... I can't remember that..." He again looked on his bloody hand. The man saw it too. "Did you cut yourself?!", "...Maybe..." Aru turned around and a shadow covered his face. "Let me take a look at it." the man said and came closer. "If I were you..." Aru raised his head. "...I'd not come any closer." His red eye was glowing brightly- a sign that insanity had taken over completely. "...But wait... I think that doesn't even really matter at all...", "What the?!" The man looked at him. "Did you stab your eye?", "No... why?" An evil smirk appeared on little Aru's face and his expression twisted to a look full of madness. "...I can hear your pulse. It's quite normal... Oh, now, it's speed increases.", "What the heck?!", "Are you shocked because I can hear it? Oh yeah, normally, people are not used to that, are they...?" Aru tilted his head. "Say... how much blood does a human need to lose so it's enough for him to die?", "What are you talking about?", "Oh, nothing... just... thinking. Hmmh..." A cut opened on Aru's arm and blood poured out of the wound. When it dropped down, the drops suddenly froze in motion. Aru made a move with his hand and they gathered to a mass of blood and formed to a knife. Aru grabbed it. "Now then... this is my only chance to escape hell, right? Ghosts aren't real, they say. Probably not. Demons are. They live everywhere. In our heads, in our souls... probably even in the real world. Who knows?" Aru laughed crazily. "I will fight my way out if I have to... Prepare... to die!" With these words, he charged forward and sliced the man's throat. He died right away. "...Lives are so easy to take, aren't they? There are so many factors that can make it simply leave a body like a visitor... That shows how fragile living creatures are." He walked past the man and raised one hand. The blood that poured from his wounds like a brook started levitating in the air and floated towards him and surrounded him while forming to spheres. He left his room and went through the hallways, coming past several doors. He waved with his hands and the spheres around him turned to blades. They crashed into the doors, sliced them into little pieces and exposed the rooms behind them. Fearful screams filled the air. "There are so many lives in here... that can be blown out like a candle..." He laughed insanely and spread his arms. More blades formed and flew into every direction. Screams suffocated, dull impacts were audible. He moved forward steadily. Maya came his way. "What the---?!" A wound opened at Aru's downer back. He raised his hands and the blood of all the victims he just made bend to his order. It came towards him and formed tentacles with sharp points at his back. He stabbed Maya's stomach with no hesitation. Blood splattered into his face. He ripped her into the air and he could see her widened eyes and the blood she spat from her mouth before she was hanging in the air, weak and motionless like a puppet. Aru pulled his tentacles back and she fell down. Her dead body impacted on the floor with a dull sound. "Everyone in this cursed place will feel my untamed wrath." He smiled and walked further, his tentacles disappeared and the blood dissolved to many little spheres. He didn't need long to find who he was searching for. Akito Chiba. He had fallen asleep in his office, over his desk. How foolish. Aru went towards him and considered about simply killing him in sleep, but that would be too boring... he wanted to hear him scream. So, he just poked him. "Hey. Mr. Chiba. I am sorry to interrupt your dreams..." Chiba moaned and looked up. "...Ngh?" When he saw Aru and the blood that surrounded him, he jumped up from his chair and shrank back. "What the hell?!", "Hello, Mr. Chiba." Aru raised his hand. "Not happy to see me?" Chiba stared at all the blood in his face. "What the fuck did you do?!", "Me? Oh, nothing. I just massacred a few kids and two therapists up to now...", "You did WHAT?!", "My head became dark...", Aru mumbled. "I can't think... I have the feeling it's about to explode... It's too much... Your evil heart will be the reason for your own end. I will be the last you see, it's irony... I'll be the one to take all your glory. You wrote the end to your own life story, isn't it tragic?" Aru tilted his head. "WHAT KIND OF MONSTER ARE YOU?!" Chiba yelled with panic in his face. "The panic in your face is turning me on..." Aru said. "It's the same one I had showed days ago, now I can understand why it is so amusing... To be honest, I can't control myself. I feel like someone else... But that is okay, I guess." He raised his hand. "Now then, shall we begin?" Again, he laughed with all the evil and madness stored inside.
