"Everything is going according to plan. You can move in," Namjoon's voice crackled softly through the earpiece. He was stationed in the getaway car, eyes glued to his laptop, monitoring the live feed from the hidden cameras that Jimin had planted earlier in the morning inside the Dark Squad's building.
S's gaze locked with Jungkook, who stood a few meters away, flanked by a group of Titans. Their black battle suits clung tightly to their bodies, each piece meticulously designed to hold hidden weapons—daggers, pistols, and ammunition concealed in every pocket and seam. Without speaking, She gave a sharp signal to her brother.
In perfect synchronization, the two groups silently fanned out and slipped inside the building, moving with the stealth of shadows.
"Kai is in his office on the tenth floor," Namjoon's calm voice echoed through the earpieces.
Before they could advance far, a loud gunshot shattered the silence, igniting an instant firefight. Bullets ricocheted off walls as chaos erupted in the hallways. The Titans moved with ruthless precision, firing at anything that moved. Sri's orders had been clear—no mercy. The mission wasn't just to eliminate the leadership; it was to dismantle the gang entirely.
Each shot fired by the Titans was deliberate, aimed to kill. The muffled sound of suppressed gunfire filled the corridors as the two groups cleared room after room. Blood splattered the walls, and lifeless bodies slumped to the ground. There was no room for hesitation. The Titans operated like a well-oiled machine—every movement rehearsed, every target predetermined.
Jimin and Jungkook led their respective squads, cutting through the opposition without missing a beat. They moved in tandem, alternating between offensive strikes and providing cover for one another. S followed closely, her sharp eyes scanning the battlefield, ensuring no enemy escaped their grasp.
"We're approaching the stairwell," Jungkook spoke through the comms as he reloaded his weapon.
"Keep pushing forward," S commanded. "We need to reach the tenth floor before Kai escapes."
Another wave of enemies poured from a side corridor, but the Titans were ready. Jungkook drew two pistols, firing with deadly accuracy, while Jimin lunged forward, slashing through anyone within range. S stayed behind them, her steps light but purposeful, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
Namjoon's voice chimed in again through the comms. "Kai knows something is wrong. He's sending reinforcements."
"We'll handle it," S replied curtly, her voice laced with determination.
Gunfire echoed through the stairwell as the Titans ascended, clearing floor after floor with brutal efficiency. Time was ticking, but they were relentless. For Arin. For justice. For vengeance.
There was no turning back now.
......
An injured man staggered into Kai's office, barely able to stand. His clothes were drenched in blood, and his legs gave out as soon as he crossed the threshold. "B-Boss... Titans... they're here..." he gasped before collapsing unconscious at Kai's feet.
"What the hell?!" Kai shot up from his chair, eyes wide in disbelief. He had expected retaliation, but not this quickly—only two days had passed since his ambush. He was certain that S would lick her wounds before making a move. After all, Dark Squad had killed many Titans and even shot her. Surely, she would need time to recover.
But he had misjudged her. She had come for him, fast and furious, catching him completely off guard.
Kai turned toward the door, ready to escape. But as soon as it swung open, he found himself staring down the barrel of a revolver. He froze, backing away instinctively.
S stepped inside, the gun aimed steadily at his head. With a swift motion, she pulled down the scarf covering her face, revealing her sharp features and purple-highlighted hair cascading down her back. Her dark, commanding eyes glinted with menace, and her lips curled into a small, dangerous smile.
"We meet again, Kai." His name rolled off her tongue like a taunt, her voice dripping with amusement. She relished the way his smirk faltered into disbelief.
Kai edged backward until his hips hit the edge of his desk, trapped with nowhere to run. But then, his expression shifted. A slow smirk spread across his face as he raised a small device in his hand. A loud beep echoed through the room.
Sri's eyes flicked to the door as it slammed shut behind her.
"The lock's controlled from here," Kai said, holding up the digital key. "Only one of us is walking out of this room alive."
Her smile deepened, a glint of excitement flashing in her eyes. "Bring it on. I've been waiting to kill you without interruptions."
Kai narrowed his eyes. In an instant, he fired his gun. S twisted her body, narrowly dodging the bullets, and retaliated with her own shots. The air filled with the deafening sound of gunfire as they circled each other. S charged forward, but Kai caught her wrist mid-swing, twisting it painfully behind her back.
She hissed in pain but recovered quickly, slamming her head into his face. Kai groaned, stumbling backward, blood dripping from his nose. Before he could react, she smashed the handle of her gun against the side of his head. He gritted his teeth as purple bruises bloomed on his skin.
They both stood panting, glaring at each other, eyes burning with hatred. After another round of shooting, both of their guns ran empty. Out of bullets, they tossed the weapons aside, knowing they had no time to reload. It was down to fists now.
Kai lunged first, throwing a punch that Sri blocked with her forearm. The second strike, however, caught her across the cheek, sending her tumbling to the ground. She wiped the blood from her split lip and smiled widely.
Kai sneered. "What happened? Where's all that talk about killing me? And what makes you smile?"
She rolled her neck and grinned through the pain. "You'll find out soon enough."
With that, she sprang into action. Punches flew between them, each one blocked or dodged. S feinted a high kick, causing Kai to duck—but it was a trick. As he lowered his guard, she followed with a brutal flying kick, slamming him across the room.
"You can do better than this, Jongin," she taunted, her voice mocking.
Kai roared in anger and tackled her, pinning her to the ground. A glint of silver flashed in his hand—a knife. Cold metal pressed against her abdomen.
Sri's legs shot up, wrapping around his neck, and she yanked him off balance. As she sat up, Kai swung wildly with his blade, slicing deep into her collarbone.
She hissed in pain but retaliated with a savage punch to his eye, causing him to scream in agony. They grappled for the knife, both desperate for control. S wrenched it from his grip and drove it toward his face, but Kai caught her wrist just before the blade pierced his eye.
He mustered all his strength and shoved her off, delivering a powerful punch to her ribs. S stumbled, gasping as waves of pain radiated through her body. Her ears rang, her vision blurred. When she regained some clarity, she noticed a hazy mist filling the room. The acrid scent of smoke stung her nose.
Kai had released a smoke grenade, and the room was quickly clouded with thick, choking vapor. He slipped on a pair of infrared goggles, smirking as Sri coughed and stumbled blindly.
Unlocking the door with a click, Kai barked an order into the hallway. "Get in here. Finish her."
S's vision swam in and out of focus as footsteps approached. She knew she was outnumbered, and without her earpiece, she couldn't call for backup. The smoke clogged her lungs, and each breath burned her throat.
A hand fisted in her hair, slamming her head against the wall. She cried out as her legs gave way beneath her. Cold trickles of blood seeped from cuts on her forehead and neck, mixing with the sweat on her skin.
Kai yanked her to her feet, his fingers tightening around her throat. Her vision dimmed as black spots danced before her eyes. "Women are no match for men," he sneered, his voice dripping with condescension.
Despite the suffocating grip around her neck, S's eyes remained fierce. She gasped for air, her lips curling into a defiant smile. "Don't get too comfortable. I'll make sure you die a painful death."
Kai laughed bitterly, relishing her suffering. Blood from her head trickled down his hand as he squeezed harder. Her hands clawed weakly at his wrist, but her strength was fading fast.
He leaned closer, savoring every second of her struggle. "Let's see how long you last."
Suddenly, one of Kai's men collapsed without a sound. Another dropped immediately after, followed by a third. Panic rippled through the room. The shadows around him seemed to sink into the smoke, disappearing one by one.
Kai's heart raced. "What the hell is happening?!" he shouted, spinning wildly to make sense of the chaos.
A strange, high-pitched whine filled the air, sharp enough to make his ears ring. Before Kai could react, the large glass window shattered with a deafening crash. Shards rained onto the floor, and the choking smoke billowed out, replaced by the crisp chill of the midnight air.
Through the clearing haze, Kai spotted a figure moving toward him. His pulse quickened as fear and confusion gripped him. "Who's there?!" he demanded, voice wavering.
But in that split second of distraction, S seized her chance.
Kai's eyes locked on a fist flying toward his goggles—but the blow was a painful. Before he could react, Sri's punch connected squarely with his chin. His teeth clattered together painfully, and the impact sent him stumbling backward.
Another punch followed with unrelenting force, crashing into his jaw and knocking him off his feet. Blood sprayed from his lips as he hit the floor hard, skidding across the shattered glass.
Sri, disoriented and exhausted, lost her footing and crumpled to her knees. Before she could hit the ground completely, strong arms caught her mid-fall.
"Breathe, Noona! I've got you." Jungkook's voice was low but reassuring as he cradled her against his chest. His dark hair was windswept, and his sharp eyes glinted with both worry and rage. "Sorry for being late. But your shield is back now." He patted her back lightly as she clung to him, struggling to catch her breath.
Sri's chest heaved as the burning sensation in her lungs began to subside. "Go," she whispered, brushing the blood from her lips. "End him."
Jungkook's gaze darkened, and with a small nod, he stood and turned toward Kai. The Dark Squad underboss, now fully aware of his grim fate, was tiptoeing toward the door like a rat trying to flee a sinking ship.
With a fluid motion, the raven-haired enforcer grabbed Kai's collar and yanked him backward with brutal force. Kai stumbled, trying to keep his balance, but Jungkook followed through with a bone-shattering punch to his mouth. Blood erupted from Kai's lips, and he crashed to the floor, groaning as fresh pain rippled through his body.
Kai spat a mouthful of blood and staggered back to his feet. Desperation flickered in his eyes, but he refused to give up. With a snarl, he charged Jungkook like a cornered animal.
Jk met him halfway, driving a powerful knee into Kai's gut. The impact was devastating. Kai doubled over, coughing violently as blood splattered from his mouth. His ribs felt as if they had shattered beneath the blow.
Both fighters stood panting, drenched in sweat and smeared with blood. Despite the relentless punishment, Kai fought on, driven by sheer stubbornness. For the past 40 minutes, he had managed to hold his own against the Titans, but his strength was failing fast. Every punch from Jungkook was precise and devastating. His unpredictable style kept Kai on edge, like fighting a ghost that shifted forms with every attack.
Kai saw a fleeting opening—a final, desperate chance—and swung his arm at Jungkook with all his remaining strength.
But Jungkook blocked the strike effortlessly, his arm snaking around Kai's in a tight grip. Their arms intertwined, forcing them into a close struggle. Their faces were mere inches apart, and Kai could feel the heat of Jungkook's breath against his skin.
"Ha! Killing me won't get you anything," Kai hissed, his voice hoarse and labored. He grinned bitterly, blood dripping down his chin. "The boss is still alive. You can't take over the gang without him."
Jungkook's lips curled into a smug, breathless smirk. "I'm sooo sorry..." he said mockingly, wiping blood from the corner of his mouth. "But your father's already dead. That makes you the current boss of Dark Squad."
Kai's expression twisted with shock, his breath hitching in disbelief.
"And that," Jungkook added with a cruel grin, tightening his grip on Kai's arm, "means that when I kill you... your whole empire will belong to us."
