After Rose woke up, she walked over to the console room where The Doctor stood, flicking switches and levers. Eventually, he looked up and smiled brightly at Rose. "Hello Rose! Ready for an adventure?" He winked and pulled a lever. "Where are we going, Doctor?" she inquired, grinning. He stepped away from the console and grabbed his ear thoughtfully. "Well...how's 21st century New York? Lots and lots of stuff there! I met Lady Liberty once...Yeah, she's actually a stone angel...Well theres Empire Stare Building, Manhattan, lots of fun!" he rambled on. "Sounds good!" Rose said. "Brilliant! Allons-y Rose Tyler!" He stepped out and sniffed the air. "Brooklyn! 2014! September 8th!" Rose looked at him, confused. "How can you tell that?" He had a smug look on his face. "Time Lord. Also, theres a newspaper on the floor over there, better throw it away." The Doctor ran over and chugged it into a bin. "Well, shall we take the subway to the Empire State Building?" Rose nodded.

The Doctor and Rose trotted along in the subway station. "Hey, look theres one coming in a minute to Manhattan. After a while, they caught the subway. However, there was only one seat left by the time they made it over to it. "We'll just wait for the next," said Rose.
"Nonsense! C'mere!" The Doctor sat down and motioned for her to sit on his lap. Rose did, reluctantly. At first, she was worried she'd hurt him, but later, she found it to be comfortable. In fact, she nuzzled into him and fell asleep. Well, The Doctor thought, Maybe we can stay here for a bit longer.
