The Unquiet Dead
((Quotes from The Unquiet Dead, S1, E3))
Nine: Now you've seen the future, let's have a look at the past. 1860. How does 1860 sound?
Rose: What happened in 1860?
Nine: I don't know. Let's find out.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Gwenyth: (Talking about the living dead) Mr. Sneed, for shame. How man more times? It's ungodly.
Sneed: Don't look at me like it's my fault.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rose: But, it's like, think about it, though- Christmas 1860. Happens once, just once, and it's gone, it's finished. It'll never happen again. Except for you. You can go back and see days that are dead and gone, a hundred thousand sunsets ago. No wonder you never stay still.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Nine: Blimey
Rose: Don't Laugh.
Nine: You look beautiful.
~~~~~~
Nine: I got the flight a bit wrong.
Rose: I don't care.
Nine: It's not 1860. It's 1869
Rose: I don't care.
Nine: And it's not Naples.
Rose: I don't care.
Nine: It's Cardiff.
Rose: ...Right
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Charles Dickens: What phantasmagoria is this? ((love that word))
~~~~~~~
(People screaming)
Nine: That's more like it.
~~~~~~~
Gwenyth: There she is, sir!
Sneed: I can see that! The whole blooming world can see that!
~~~~~~~
Nine: Oi! You! Follow that hearse.
Coachman: I can't do that, sir.
Nine: Why not?
Charles Dickens: I'll tell you why not. I'll give you a very good reason why not-because this is my coach!
Nine: Well get in then!
~~~~~~~
Nine: Dickens?
Charles: Yes.
Nine: Charles Dickens?
Charles: Yes!
Nine: The Charles Dickens?
~~~~~~~~~~~
Nine: Honestly Charles- can I call you Charles? I'm such a big fan.
Charles Dickens: You're a what? A big what?
Nine: Fan- number one fan, that's me.
Charles Dickens: How exactly are you a fan? In what way do you resemble a means of keeping oneself cool?
~~~~~~~
Nine: That aboy, Charlie.
Charles Dickens: No one calls me Charlie.
~~~~~~~~~~
Charles Dickens: Nonsense! Since when did an undertaker keep office hours. The dead don't die on schedule!
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rose: Hi. Who's your friend?
Nine: Charles Dickens.
Rose: Oh. Okay.
~~~~~~~~
Charles: Can it be, that I have the world entirely wrong?
Nine: Not wrong, there's just more to learn.
~~~~~~~
Nine: Now, don't antagonize her. I love a happy medium.
Rose: I can't believe you just said that.
~~~~~~~
Sneed: Well what did you say, Doctor? Explain it again. What are they?
Nine: Aliens.
Sneed: Like, foreigners, you mean?
Nine: Pretty foreign yeah. From up there.
Sneed: Brecon?
~~~~~~~~~~~
Nine: Mr. Sneed, what's the weakest part of this house, the place where most of the ghosts have been see?
Sneed: That would be, the morgue.
Rose: No chance you were going to say 'gazebo' is there?
~~~~~~~~~~~
Nine: What about me? I saw the fall of Troy, World War V, I bushed boxes at the Boston Tea Party. Now I'm going to die in a dungeon... In Cardiff!
~~~~~~~~~
Rose: We'll go down fighting, yeah? Together. (Nine and Rose hold hands)
Nine: I'm so glad I met you.
((If you can't tell I ship NineRose))
~~~~~~~~~~
Nine: I think she was dead from the moment she stood in that arch.
Rose: But she can't have. She spoke to us. She helped us. She saved us. How could she have done that?
Charles Dickens: There are more things in heaven and Earth... than are dreamed of in your philosophy. Even for you, Doctor.
