So what if after Barty Crouch Jr died he became the doctor. And what if the doctor was all along a wizard who went to Hogwarts and lied about where he really got his education. So he was really hey lying about who he really was, where he was from, and how he is able to time travel and do all kinds of other crazy stuff that isn't normal. And maybe Barty Crouch didn't really die but staged it so he went became the doctor and lied about everything else. He realized that being a death eater was wrong and decided to be a good person and actually do what's right.
