Doctor Lee Dawson rarely got nervous. The only times that he could recall recently that he'd felt this way were when his mother was in the hospital, when he asked out the girl of his dreams and when he made a near thousand mile journey to pledge his love for said girl, without the slightest idea of what he was going to say.

But now he was once again feeling the butterflies in his stomach. It had been years since his last first day at a job.

He stood in the reception area of the University of Vermont medical centre, waiting for his first orders of the day.

After what felt like an eternity, finally a chubby woman with frizzy blonde hair and glasses that looked more like goggles approached him.

"Doctor Dawson?" She asked.

"Pleased to meet you?" Lee shook her hand.

"Likewise. My name is Doctor Angela Kent. Head of the wards here. We're very pleased to have you joining us" The woman said, leading him down the corridor.

"Thank you. I'm very happy to be here" Lee replied, struggling to keep up with the woman. For someone so plump she was pretty fast!

"Good. Now, unfortunately I'm very busy today but I've arranged for one of our members of staff to give you a tour of the hospital this morning before you start seeing patients in the afternoon. Is that ok?" Angela asked.

"Absolutely. I can't wait to get started"

She continued to lead him away before finally coming to a stop at the very end of the corridor, where they were met by an enthusiastic looking nurse. She had bright blonde hair tied up into a bun and sparkling blue eyes that were wide with excitement at the sight of her boss and her new recruit.

Carly looked beautiful as always.

"Nurse Oliver" Angela greeted her.

"Good morning Doctor Kent" Carly smiled.

"Doctor Dawson here is starting with us today. Would you be so kind to show him around the premises?" She asked.

"Yes of course" Nodded Carly. Now she'd get to show him how a tour was supposed to be done.

Doctor Kent said her goodbyes to Lee before leaving him in the capable hands of Nurse Oliver.

"It's nice to meet you Nurse Oliver" Lee joked.

"And you" Carly shook his hand. It took all the willpower she had to eventually let go. "This way please" She said before walking back the way that Lee had just came from.

"Where are we going?" He asked. Carly's face grew a smirk.

"I'm going to show you where we keep the sick people".
