"Do you really need to move out baek? we will miss you at the dorm" 

"I don't want to be a burden to you all. I need to learn to do this all by myself. Please stop worrying Jaehyun and just carry in the boxes please"

"Stop calling yourself a burden we are your friends who will keep doing whatever it is you need baek. Look at us, we are here helping you move across town from us as you wished just so we can see you happy again"

"I know and I am very grateful for the help moving. But Jaehyun you're an amazing friend you all are. I just want, need some time alone to get use to me never walking again"

"The doctor said you would if you went to the physical therapist but you gave up"  

"​​​​​Look there is no point going through all that again. I just need to come to terms that I won't walk again. Now excuse me"

Baekhyun wheels himself into his new ground floor apartment that he so desperately wanted after coming to terms that he can't be like everyone else. 

"This is a great place. I actually love it" he turns to see Kai one of his other friends plop down on his bed smiling towards him. 

"You are not moving in so get the idea you have in your head out of it, my answer is no. I really want this to just be my place Kai"  

"Yeah ok, can't blame me for trying. I'm gonna miss you at the dorm it won't be the same"

"Hey least you won't have to baby me ​now I'm here"

"​I never baby you baek. I just wanted to help out"

"​I know Kai, I guess I'm just angry at the world and taking it out on you guys but I don't mean too" Baekhyun starts to cry a little as Kai rushes to his side. 

"​​​Man if you think you can do this then do it but at any time you feel low ​​no matter what time of night just call me and I'll be over here so fast it will be like I lived here"

"​​​​Nice try Kai but thank you, I'll be fine"

"Hey where will I put this box?" They hear shouting from the other room as they head off to see who is shouting.

"Dad just pop it on the sofa please. I can sort it out later" Baekhyun rolls up towards his dad watching to make sure he does as he requested. He loves his parents so much but since he had the accident they have been smothering him so much that he needed to stop them from coming to the hospital. They hated it but they respected his wishes. 

"OK can I order some food for everyone is that ok Baekhyun darling" His mother smiles waiting for an answer as he looks at Jaehyun who nods to let his mother do it. 

"That would be brilliant mum thank you" Baekhyun smiles as he wheels out the door of his apartment to check his post box area just under the stairs and to change the name on the label. 

"Oh shit" a deep voiced guy says dropping some boxes to the floor beside the post boxes. 

"Wow that's a lot of post you got there" Baekhyun says making the taller drop more to the floor. 

"Yeah I'm so clumsy and this is what I get for not checking my postbox every day like normal people" he smiles picking up all this packages and letters placing them on a little ledge. 

​​​​​​​Baekhyun just smiles as he reaches into his new postbox to change the label to his name. 

​​​​​"So your the new tenant" 

"​​​​Yeah that's me how you guess" Baekhyun smiles making the taller feel stupid

"You changing the name and yes as you can tell I'm awkward aswell as clumsy" ​​​​ the taller scratches his head looking at all the boxes wondering  how the hell he can manage them.

"​​​​Name is Chanyeol by the way"  

"​​I know" Baekhyun rolls away back to his apartment smiling as the taller looks after him puzzled. 

"​​Oh you seen the label aww I see" Chanyeol shouts after him making Baekhyun giggle a little.

​​​​​​​Entering his apartment to all his friends standing around afraid to unpack he stops and looks at them all knowing they are afraid to do it without his permission. 

"Could you guys maybe help me unpack a little" he says to the excitement of the others all rushing now to unpack some boxes. 

​​​​​​​Smiling to himself seeing them all happy he can't seem to stop thinking of the tall guy from the postboxes. 

" Hey bae​​​k where will I put these and where the hell did that smile come from all of a sudden?"  Kai crouches down beside him making Baekhyun laugh. 

"​​​I'm just happy Kai, don't read to much into it"

"​​​​​Foods here" his mother calls as she places all the bags on the counter as everyone gathers around. 

​"Thanks for this mom" Baekhyuns mother leans over kissing her son on the cheek "you're welcome darling I'm glad you let me do something for you" she tosses his hair before handing him a plate to get some food. 

"OK since everyone has food I would like to make a toast to my son on his new apartment. I hope it makes you happy and gives you the independence you so crave. His father cheers as they all agree.

Once food is finished and everyone is leaving Baekhyun can't wait to just close his door for some piece and quiet. Once his father pulled his mother away he closes the door and smiles looking around his own apartment. 

​​​​​​​ Wheeling himself around the one bedroom apartment he can't help but smile seeing the Teddy his friends got him ages ago laying on the bed holding a little sign saying never give up. Placing it on his lap he heads back into his sitting room grateful that Jaehyun set up his TV and Internet. Grabbing the remote he turns on the music channels while he starts to change around a few of the things in his kitchen to the way he wants them. 

Knock knock 

Putting down some glasses he makes his way to the door opening it. 

"Hi me aga​​​​in, sorry to disturb you but this was just outside the main door holding the door open. I think it's yours" Baekhyun looks at the box seeing it is one of his and that one of his idiots left it behind. 

"Thank you can I can take it "

"Are you sure I can put it on you counter for you it's rather heavy"

"​​I can manage thank you"

"​​​Are you sure, I don't mind"

"​​​​I said I can do it, ​​just because I'm in a wheelchair doesn't mean I can't do stuff"

"​​​​​I...... didn't mean.... Anything.... " passing the box to Baekhyun Chanyeol steps away as Baekhyun closes the door annoyed as he moves the box to the sofa close to him. 

​​​​​Great I move away from fussy people and now my neighbour is one, great just great
