Torrential downpour.

Incessant rain.

Thunderous claps of lightning

Serpents of dazzling, bright electricity sent to bite the earth,

racing across the night,

to destroy and swallow,

cause devastation and destruction.

The voices in my head

eradicated in the downpour of rain,

violently hammering down

into the deep depths below.

The clouds of rain and darkness

all consuming my thoughts.

The beat drowned out

by the pelting of murky water,

engulfing my heart,

that was left without protection

and a blanket of comfort,

because you were never there.
