His Butler, Confessed
Everything from him starting a contract with the young master started playing, and you finally know the full story of how they met. He was summoned when the young master had his last straw, everyone around him was dead and he took the form of what he looks like today. The young master had it quite rough with Sebastian which you found out was the name of the dog he used to have before the manor burned down. Apparently, he wasn't a great cook from the start which would've made you laugh if you weren't in the situation you were in. The bond between those two was something people only dreamed of having. You almost felt envious, the record sped up a little as if Undertaker was fast-forwarding it, right up to the day he met you.
He saw you that day you escaped when you were hiding behind the barrels, this time you could see his eyes flashed their demonic fuchsia as he caught a whiff of your soul the smirk on his face said it all. If he wasn't chained to his current master he'd have yours. He knew he'd be seeing you again, just not when. Luckily it was the next day incidentally at Undertaker's parlour after he told the young lord about you. They went to him for information on you, and yes... they paid the fee, and they received their information. After he offered you a job it was entertaining to him being your superior, how it'd make your blood boil when he annoyed you or how you'd get flustered at unnecessary closeness or contact. He grew rather fond of you for you and not your soul although the mere scent drove him mad with desire and possessiveness. He knew if he couldn't or in this case wouldn't have your soul some other demon would snatch you so marking you was his only option, demonic instincts would gradually take you over in due time but you were safe and that's what mattered to him. You made him feel. He didn't show it but you could see it in his eyes, in the little random things he did. He'd make sure you were taken care of most of the time and other times let you deal with the foolishness you put yourself in, tucking you into bed every night after you'd fall asleep and even watching over you sometimes warmed your heart.
You never knew how much he truly cared until now. The little second glances, the slight curve of his lips trying not to show his smile. Your mere presence calms him down to a state he rarely reaches. Him trying to compose his anger at himself, for the misery he recently put you through; and as quickly as the record started it ended. Sebastian reached out and grabbed both of you, finally slamming to the ground you landed on top of him. His eyes were closed and all three of you were covered in his blood, he didn't budge as you shook him. The young master started yelling and his hand came up to grip your waist tightly like he needed help to get up, he stirred and one of his eyes opened. "There is no need to shout, I can hear you perfectly well," he said rather weakly. "Sebastian," you buried your head in his chest and he patted your head. "My dear, you can scream rather loud when you want to," his face was contorted into a painful smile and he coughed up blood in his hand. "Shh," you pet his hair and you and the young master helped him sit up properly. He spat blood on the floor just as it groaned, tilting even more, he grabbed both of you before you could fall.
"Huh... as interesting as I suspected butler. But you bring misery to the dear Earl and Lady. I think it's about time we end that," he wielded his scythe above his head and you put your arms in front of him but the ship tilted again this time very violently and tilted at a sharp angle causing poor Ryan to fall to his death.
"Ryan Stoker, born on the 24th of August in the year 1854, died the 20th of April 1889. Died from injuries sustained in a fall, no notes of interest. Well Bassy as you can see playtime is well and truly over. I really must be taking him now," Grell revved up his chainsaw and attacked but before any of you could move to stop him, Ronald attacked you.
"You take care of the rogue reaper Mr. Sutcliffe. I'll dispatch this one while he's still weak," he smirked at Sebastian who had jumped back several feet to avoid another death scythe injury.
"I'll take care of this one don't worry," you said your steel glare piercing his nonchalant one.
"Heh, you really think MY butler can be beaten that easily. Weak? Don't make me laugh," the young lord shouted covering up Sebastian's cough. The grim reaper closed his eyes like an idiot and sighed, "Now I'm wondering if I should feel bad preying on an injured animal."
What he didn't see was yours and Sebastian's fist going for his face. Sebastian kicked him across the room grabbing him mid-air, "You may want to reconsider your definition of weak." He let him go as they ran out of room and Ronald crashed into the wall and was kicked to your side where you grabbed him and sent him into a cluster of tables that were already on the verge of falling. He slid down and the tables collapsed on him, he wasn't finished, however. Dragging his way out of the rubble he started for you but didn't see Sebastian come back behind him and he ended up fighting the both of you.
Cutlery and fists versus an entire lawnmower. One would think the winner would be obvious. But no, the both of you kicked him in the gut and sent him flying into Grell who was fighting Undertaker. Somehow, somewhere, Sebastian had grabbed his lawnmower and made his way to the young lord leaving you on the opposite side. "Young chaps these days are much weaker than they used to be," he said leaning on the death scythe smirking, "...that just leaves the one."
It was the three of you and him again still in the ring.
The remaining crystal chandelier rattled.
"Seems our time is up," Undertaker whispered.
"Oh blast!"
The ship listed greatly almost capsizing and you slipped, falling to the opposite side. The glass broke and the chandelier shattered extinguishing the remaining light source that was left. Water rushed in quickly flooding the place, the ship was officially vertical and rapidly going under. You closed your eyes waiting for the impact that never came. instead, you were pulled midair rather violently and held tightly. Undertaker had his arm wrapped around your waist making sure you didn't fall.
"Why?" You widened your eyes in shock.
"That question in itself makes me laugh. You've bought your first piece of information, I'm proud. There are several reasons, but I don't like to spoil surprises so I'll give you a generic answer; We've been through too much for me to not care if you die, even I have a heart." He set you down on the other side where Sebastian was and the young master grabbed him randomly at him, snapping his mourning jewel. Undertaker smirked wielding his scythe, "Take care of it for me my lord, it's very precious to me. Until we meet again." He brought his scythe down, splitting the boat in half.

You couldn't breathe. Sebastian had thrown the both of you into the below-freezing arctic waters. Slipping out of the inflated ring he haphazardly stuffed you in you lost all consciousness you could do nothing but slip into the abyss. Tired, battered, not to mention cold. He pulled you into a spare boat that had gone down with the ship along with the young lord who attempted to wake you up.
The last of those creatures were floating around grabbing at Sebastian trying to get to the two with souls.
"Sebastian! Exterminate them!" The young master held you as the boat rocked violently, Sebastian's tailcoat covered both of you as he tried to keep both of you from falling back into the freezing water.
"Come on Y/n wake up," the young master tried to warm you up rubbing his freezing hands on you, trying to create some sort of friction.
~
"Sebastian, you did well today, when we get back I want you to take a week's rest." You sat up groggy, body aching and frozen. The pain in the bone of your sprained foot increasing because of the cold water you were dumped in.
"Really my lord, you shouldn't say such things. It isn't at all like you. I do not wish to see a storm after this ordeal," the boat passed in front of the three of you blocking the warmth of the sun.
You rested your head on his shoulder surprising him for he thought you were still unconscious, "It's from me then," he looked down at you in shock.
"I'm sure Tanaka wouldn't mind a bit more work." He gave you a soft smile and a meaningful look.
"Y/n..."

Climbing on board the saviour of a ship, Lady Elizabeth was clearly awake. "Ciel!!!" she ran towards the young master her blanket falling midway and crashed right into him. They fell down and she cried telling the tale of how scared she was. The poor young master was laying there in pain trying to comfort his betrothed. You chuckled looking up at Sebastian who was looking at the sunrise. "Funny how some human luxuries can be beautiful, yet they slip away so fast." the both of you walked to the side of the boat looking towards the horizon. "Will I slip away?" he knew what you were asking and didn't make eye contact. You sighed, "Do you want me to slip away?" He took off his blanket and wrapped it around you, "Of course not. You will be with me till the end of time. I don't grow tired of- "
"Of souls like mine so easily." You looked away, but he gently grabbed your chin, stroking your cheek ever so softly. "Oh please... you don't believe that. You of all should understand this, do you not comprehend that mark?"
You looked down, "I- I read that- "
He cut you off, "You read a book written by a human, all they can do is guess. There is no possible way you can slip away nor do I want you to. Death can't reach you while I am here to protect you," he sighed looking at your face, pushing strands of your wet hair behind your ears. "I understand you were a bit insecure after that ordeal with Beast and that it screwed with your head. But listen to me and believe me when I say this; I simply used her for a few minutes not even for my pleasure, you have absolutely nothing to offer me, not even your soul, I wouldn't be with you for no reason as contradicting that is to my entire species."
Tears threatened to spill on your cheeks, no matter how much you want to, or how much he said to convince you that this wasn't some game to pass the time for him. Your aching chest, your overthinking mind, the anxiety that piled up once you began to trust him again all crashed down on you weighing down on your feelings. Something purely out of your control.
He sighed, "Y/n I know very well you're far from stupid. I love you, and your soul has nothing to do with it, it just let me find you."
You couldn't believe it. Finally, the words you longed to hear fell out of his mouth just like tears were falling down your face. They were burning your face since your skin was so cold and he wiped it away with his gloved hands.
"I love you too Sebastian."
He smiled, it wasn't closed eye or mocking, it was genuine and it was for you. "You bring me to my knees, there isn't anything I wouldn't do for us Y/n."
"Come here you," he hugged your small frame and tipped your chin up, he leaned in for a cold, sweet and salty kiss that lasted a lifetime.
Well until Lady Elizabeth squealed how cute you two were, and her mother scoffed. Did you care?
Of course not. You got your answer, your reply back to the countless "I love you's" you've said to him. You were the happiest woman in the world at that moment. No one could take that away from you.
The end💀 ion know leave my unprofessional ass alone-
But look at the next page🤗
If you don't want to that's okay
But I thank each and every one of you for taking the time to read the book, my first actual story that I've finished. To heart it, to vote on it, to comment. I enjoyed interacting with you guys and it really brought joy to my heart to see a notification pop up. Was I too cliché? I tried to be inclusive to every skin colour, hair type, eye colour etc... everyone is different and I've only read those about perfect badass/shy girls who have pale skin and are cute, sexy, and confident (nothing wrong with that btw). I can't do lgbtq+ because I'm not lgbtq+ and I wouldn't want to offend those of you who are with my wording. I wanted to make a diverse insecure-ish person who doesn't always need saving but who can't always be perfect, hope I did well on that. If not I tried I'm sorry🥺
Look at the next page if you forgot :)
