~a year and a half later~

Maria leaned against the doorframe, watching Robin. He was on the ground playing with little Addison. Addy is definitely going to be a daddy's girl, Maria thought with a slight chuckle.

They had moved into the new house when Addy was six months old, and the little family settled in well. Robin and Maria were extremely grateful to Benjamin and Loveday for building the house. It had four bedrooms, which was probably a hint from Loveday that she wanted more than just one niece. Maria smiled serenely as she held her hand over her stomach. There wasn't a bump showing yet, but she knew there was another little baby growing.

Robin turned to look at Maria. He was so much in love with her. She was looking towards the sunset, her hand placed on her stomach. She had told him the news earlier that day, and he was beyond ecstatic. Another little child was coming, his child. Robin looked back at Addy. Addy's eyes were just like her mother's. They showed her innocence, her purity. She was so trusting of everyone. She didn't know what the world was like. He wanted to protect her from it. He hadn't protected Maria with his cousin, but Robin would protect them, both of his girls. He knew that becoming a father had changed him. He saw beauty in little things, but he also saw potential danger in things. He wanted to protect Addy from everything that would hurt her. This would be an annoyance to her one day, but for now, Addy was his little girl. He wouldn't waste a moment with her. He would make memories with her while she was still young. He knew being a father was hard. When Robin's mother died, his father became distant and cold. He wouldn't do anything to hurt his child, he loved her too much. He would be the father he had always wanted. He would be there for Addy when she needed him, a shoulder to cry on, a listening ear, a loving heart.

Hey, basketball and cheer season have finally ended, and I got a chance to update. I have loved writing this story. I have been blown away by how many reads it has, so I wanted to update for all my readers. Specifically, though, this chapter is dedicated to JLOKAZAMI and p4nd4be4r  for their sweet comments. They were really nice because I was feeling bummed out about my ankle, which is recovering well even though I have to wear a brace when I play sports. Sorry about the shortness. After this is the epilogue. I've been looking forward to what I want to do for the epilogue (which will definitely be longer), so that should be up fairly quickly.
