A few months later, it was Loveday's turn to have her day, albeit not a day she would remember for its painlessness. It was time for the baby to arrive.
Robin snickered quietly at Miss Heliotrope's nervous pacing, Loveday's screams, shrieks more like it, echoing through the wide hall that they, along with Maria, Digweed, and Marmaduke were waiting in.
Maria elbowed him sharply. "Keep your mouth shut, Robin! That could be us in a couple of years."
"That got him to quiet down, eh, Miss Maria?" Marmaduke commented at Robin's sudden quietness, at which she only rolled her eyes in annoyance.
"Boys," she muttered. "I have quite the headache from all this screaming. Robin, would you, being the kind husband you are, escort me to the hedge maze?"
He agreed, and the two left without a word. The silence though, was not uncomfortable. Their mere presence said enough to the other, comforting them both.
"Robin..." Maria began timidly. "Would you be opposed to having a child? You seemed a bit too quiet back there."
He contemplated his words before answering, "No, it isn't that I wouldn't want a child. I wouldn't know how to care for one. The thought of having something so small, so helpless, being so dependent on me? It's an intimidating thought."
By this time they had made it to the center of the maze, and the silence descended again. Thoughts raced through Maria's mind. It would be hard to have something so dependent on you. And, if they had a baby, where would they stay permanently? For the past few months, they alternated being at each other's house for a week at a time.
Further thoughts were interrupted by a particularly loud scream that was able to reach the maze. "We should return, Robin"

Maria gazed wonderingly at the little bundle in her arms. Little William Merryweather's big blue eyes looked back at her. They seemed to hold a wisdom beyond their age. His calm, piercing look seemed to soothe her earlier worries. Even if they had a baby, they would work it out.
Her wonderment turned to love, pure love. This child was so beautiful. He brought his mother and father closer together by his mere existence. A pang of sadness entered her, she wanted a child. She wanted to hold a baby in her arms, knowing it was her own. But was she yet ready? That was the question she must ask herself.

Hello my amazing readers. I'm updating for three reasons, well four.
1. My amazing readers, enough said.
2. My close friend and I were talking today and she had read my story when it was in its first rough stages starting out in my old red notebook. So she got a Wattpad account because of it. Her username is @emf2000 so this chapter is half dedicated to her.
3. My other friend who I haven't talked to ok awhile was messaging with me earlier and said she was reading my book. So the other half of this chapter is dedicated @lydeaj my other friend.
4. My mom made this stuff called gorilla bread and it's basically just dough covered in melted brown sugar and butter and cooked. It's super sugary and I'm really hyper.
It's almost one in the morning and I'm still up. I was reading *cue the eye roll from emf2000* I'm up reading super late all the time. You guys should go follow both my friends because they are awesome and beautiful, just like all my readers (unless you're a guy, then you're awesome and handsome). emf2000, you are beautiful even with your Italian nose (it's an inside joke, she'll get it, sorry just couldn't resist putting that there). Okay my ramblings are done for the day, night, morning, whatever it is.
Vote and comment, please.
