Chapter 3
What the hell.
Lolbit placed his monitor screen on the side and leaned back on his chair. He let out a heave, closing his eyes.
"Hey Lolbit!"
The fox opened an eye and peeked at the source of the voice; Yenndo. Yenndo wasn't the brightest, but he's always curious about the world around him. Just a friendly endoskeleton with sun-yellow eyes.
"What is this?" Yenndo picked up a pink rabbit with red rosy cheeks by the ear, and showed it to Lolbit.
"HEY! Put me down!" A voice squealed.
"Yenndo, that's Bonnet. Put her down." The endoskeleton's eyes went agape, and diverted his gaze to the squealing rabbit.
"Sorry." He muttered ashamedly and released her.
Yenndo sighed, and rested both hands on his metallic 'cheeks.'
"I'm bored.." He whined and peered around the room, as if he were looking for something.
"Say, who's this new face we have? What was her name..R-"
"R.A." Lolbit replied quickly.
"R.A? Hmm, that's an odd name, but I can't say much."
The more Lolbit thought about those two with each other, the more "jealous" he felt. His eyebrows were pulled together, his hand forming into a fist.
"This is ridiculous." He hissed under his breath, and let out a tch.
"Give the dragon a break, why don't cha?"
Lolbit whipped his head to see Funtime Foxy leaning against the door with folded arms.
"Tsk, what's it to you? Who knows this 'newcomer' is going to cause more trouble!" The fox squinted his eyes and hissed, his hand curling into a fist. Yenndo took quick note of this, turning his body towards him
"Lolbit you good?"
The fox loosened his fist and made it come to rest.
"Yeah, I'm okay." He gave a quick reply and fell silent. This created an awkward atmosphere, causing Yenndo to fiddle his thumbs.
Funtime Foxy let out a sigh, and approached the other fox,
"Estar tranquilo." Funtime Foxy patted his shoulder and turned towards the door.
Yenndo shot his head up in pure shock.
"Huh?! Did he just speak in another language?? What did he say? Esta.."
"Estar tranquilo." Lolbit stared at the glass window,
"Be calm, how funny."

A young, almond-head boy hummed in a joyous rhythm as the elevator went down. He stepped out, and began whistling, his coat thrown over his shoulder. Boy, it's been a long time since I last came here! The animatronics are so nice. I wonder if my room is still up...He then made his way to 'his' room's door, and it swung open.
"Alright! Let's drop down these things and..."
His eyes darted towards the bed and noticed that someone was sleeping. He couldn't quite see the person's face because it was covered by the baby-blue blanket. The boy blinked several times in astonishment before rubbing his eyes, and them going agape. Come on Jeremy, come on! You're definitely not crazy, or maybe you have gone crazy...
Gulping, Jeremy approached the sleeping figure, his terror mounting with every step he took. He felt his blood go freezing cold, as his heart hammered in his chest. As he neared, Jeremy's body shook in fear, and he could feel the suspense building up. He was half expected to be jumped at, just like shown in horror movies. He reached out his hand, with the other one gripping his heart. Jeremy gathered the courage and snatched the blanket off the sleeping figure. Indeed there was a ball of black fur sleeping.
R.A opened her drowsy eyes, and yawned. She sat up straight, rubbing her eyes. When she eyed Jeremy, her eyes went agape, and so did Jeremy's. Both of them began to scream, and pointed at each other.
"WHO ARE YOU?! AND WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY ROOM-"
"WHO AM I??? WHO ARE YOU!" R.A hissed and squinted her eyes. Ballora rushed to the scene to help settle things down.
"Oh my, what is the matter?"
Jeremy looked at her with an ajar mouth, no word coming out and pointing in R.A's direction,
"I-INTRUDER!"
Ballora giggled and ruffled his hair,
"Don't worry, darling! R.A's staying with us. We decided to give her the spare room because we believed you weren't coming back."
"Didn't you read what the room-board even said? 'R.A's Lair.' So this proves that this is my room."
"R.A? That's a weird name..." Jeremy murmured.
"I heard that." R.A opened her mouth with burning flames seen inside of it. Her black pupils constricted to unfriendly, hostile ones as she prepared to launch a fireball at Jeremy's face.
The boy began to tremble, and let out a girly scream.
"D-D-DRAGON!??"
"Yes, dragon."
Jeremy shrieked and hid behind Ballora while trembling.
Ennard hid behind the wall and was half leaning in to see what the commotion was about. It's only Ballora and Jeremy...maybe I can get to know R.A bet-
"R.A YOU'RE AWAKE!!:D" Elly rushed inside the room and jump-hugged R.A.
Ennard's shoulders sulked, and he stared at the floor, maybe later... and made his way back while dragging his feet.
"Eeeeehhhh yeahhhhhh— I'm up." R.A mumbled drowsily.
Meanwhile, Jeremy rested a hand on Funtime Foxy's elbow, and kept breathing in and out,
"You're telling me... that's a FREAKING DRAGON??"
"Yep! Quite berserk, right? I don't mind it tho. R.A's a really cool person!"
She doesn't look so cool to me...Jeremy gulped as he observed R.A's features. Quite weird for a dragon to have fur...
🌟
"How was your nap, my dear?" Ballora asked with a loving smile which could make anyone's heart melt.
"Ah, it was quite comfortable. One of my best naps yet." The dragon stretched and stood up.
"What time is it?"
"It's 5:23pm." 5:23pm??? I slept for that long? Goodamit.
"Say, I'll make you some food, come to the kitchen in some time, okay dear?"
"Okay BalloraaAaA~ Elly- what are you doing?"
Elly had R.A's tail in her small hands and studied it with her twinkling green eyes.
"Wowwww, even your tail is so soft!" R.A felt her cheeks slightly warm up, she wasn't really used to receiving compliments from others.
After eating some biscuits with a nice cup of tea, R.A escorted back to her 'territory', but then a person she didn't recognise walked in with a pile of books in his hands, and cursing under his breath.
"Oh, hello." R.A greeted in a cold tone. Don't people know how to knock on someone's door?
"Who might you be?"
The person seemed to pick out R.A's sternness, and tipped his security guard hat,
"Ah, my bad. I didn't knock. The name's Mike Schmidt, I'm a worker here." Worker?
"Hmm, I see. What's this you've brought with you?"
"Just a bunch of books. That sick old man told me to bring them in the spare room. Didn't know 't was occupied."
Sick old man? Who is he referring to?
"Ahhh, I figured." R.A replied.
Mike placed the books on the empty bookshelf, filling in the rows one by one. She then watched as Mike struggled to push a desk with his bandaged arms. The dragon sighed and got up.
"Excuse me." She grabbed the table, and pushed it in with no difficulty. She rested the table on the right hand side, with it touching the wall.
"Thanks a ton." Mike scratched his back, " 't's been a long day. It was nice meeting you."
"You too." R.A gave a half grin, waving goodbye to the human.
Ugh, socialising with people drains the energy out of me. She diverted her eyes to the ceiling, letting out a heave before grabbing a random book from the bookshelf and plopping on the bed.
Just a few seconds later, someone knocked on the door, causing the dragon to look up.
"Come in." She called out, a slight tingle of anxiousness rising in her chest. A red-head peeked inside; it was Ennard.
"H..Hello. I hope I'm not disturbing you or anything.." R.A gave a warm smile and closed her book.
"No no, not at all. Come in!"
The clown entered the room and closed the door behind him. R.A patted the bed, motioning Ennard to come sit next to her. The clown beamed a light smile, and sat next to her,
"Thank you. I..really wanted to get to know you better, but I never got the chance to."
R.A recalled what Elly had told her earlier; 'Oh, you know, my bro gets shy around new people, but you're the first person he wants to know better so badly. Who knows, maybe he finds you interesting ehe;) Please don't tell him I said, he'll murder me-'
"Ohhh," she giggled, "you can come any time you want, I don't mind!"
And so, both of them began having their conversation. Although they spoke to each other confidently, there were brief pauses in the middle, and both of them told about their life with hand gesticulations. They were speaking in soft tones, giggling every once in a while and trying to battle their own shyness.
"How interesting! I like animals too." exclaimed R.A.
"Well, looks like we do have something in common. What's your favourite animal?"
"Hmmm..." R.A put a finger on her chin, and made a thinking face. Suddenly, she balled her hands into fists and got all excited.
"CATS!!" She exclaimed with her pearl-white fangs showing. Ennard stared at her for a while before chuckling, slightly covering his mouth with his hand,
"You're a fun person to talk to R.A, I like dogs. I bet if we had pets they would become instant friends like us, right?" How adorable. R.A thought, and felt her cheeks slightly warm up.
"Ehe, yes! I agree." She replied while scratching her neck.
"Ooh! I'm curious, when's your birthday? I hope I don't sound disrespectful or anything." asked Ennard in joyous tone.
"My birthday's on the 9th of November aaaand don't worry, you're good Ü"
The 9th?! That means it's coming up! I better prepare something for her..
"Isn't that a coincidence? Mine's on the 9th of January! Looks like you're the older one ehe."
"AYEEEE TWINSIES!!" Both of them chuckled-(A/N: BOTH OF THEM ARE SO CUTE HELP 😭)
Then, there was some silence in between before R.A raised her head as she recalled what she was going to ask,
"I forgot to ask, do you..get to go outside? or.."
Ennard's smile faded, and he looked away. This made R.A worried, "Ennard?.." She softly asked, resting a hand on his shoulder. He let out a heave with closed eyes. He rested his left hand on R.A's warm hand (which was on his shoulder.)
"It's okay, I don't get to go out much, but I get to talk to you, and that's all I'm thankful for."
The redhead gave a weak, reassuring smile, but R.A knew that there was definitely something behind that smile, and she wanted to so know what was bothering him. The dragon also smiled, and both of them looked into each other's eyes.
"HELLO MY OLDER BIG SISTER—" Elly kicked open the door, and R.A slightly jumped close to Ennard who quickly hid his hand behind his back and stared at his one little monstrous of a little sister.
"Ah, I see, you two were sharing a moment. I'll close the door, and leave you two al-" Elly stopped midway when she noticed Ennard's death stare piercing through her eyes.
"Elly, you scared me! Just- knock on the door when you come inside next time, okay?"
The mini redhead noticed how close those two were sitting, and went, "Hmmm, sure okay yeah. Bro, Ballora's telling everyone it's time to rest for the day."
The clown groaned and shook his head. Curse you Afton, curse you. Why can't you leave Ballora and the rest alone? He got up and looked at the dragon.
"I'll be going now. I gotta tuck her in bed or else she'll be running around the entire place saying she wants to play tag."
"It's alright, you go. I'll also rest for the day." She dropped both siblings outside her room and waved Ennard a goodbye who waved in return as well. R.A watched them disappear into the darkness and soon closed the room's door.
🌙
"Honestly speaking, it was a close one." Ennard sat on the chair, resting his palms on his 'cheeks', "she asked me if I go out. I just said I don't feel like it. If I would've told her, her life would be in danger not mine." The clown sighed and stared at the ceiling.
"Ennard, I understand fully what you're trying to say. At some point, we will have to tell R.A the truth, we can't keep lying forever. And if R.A finds out, she'll be really heartbroken."
"I know I know but it's just...I don't know how to protect her from Afton. She's just...so innocent and pure, and I don't want Afton to harm her.."
Funtime Foxy leaned forward and patted his shoulder multiple times, and then yanked him forward,
"So, what do you think about her? " Foxy whispered with a smirk.
The clown's cheeks lit up a bright red,
"Funtime Foxy what the hell..." He looked away in embarrassment, "I'm not that kind of person, I have a little sister too y'know..." Foxy grinned and gave him a pat on the head.
"No honestly, but you'll have to tell her, okay?"
"I will but- just not now. Isn't it a coincidence that out of all places, she came here?"
"Who knows, maybe she saw your face in an advertisement, and decided to find out who this 'prince charming' is."
"FUNTIME FOXY, WHAT THE HELL!"
