Who Are You?
"Who are you?" I asked.
"A nobody." He said.
"W-what do you mean?" I asked.
"No one cares if I live or die." He then said.
"Well, you are nice, so I care." I tried to cheer him up. Looking at his face now, I realized something, he looked homeless. Dirt and marks covered his face. "Where do you live?"
"Me?" He asked. "I live in a box. I'm a beggar." He said.
"How could you give me money? You need it to, so why give it to me?"
"Because you have a chance to live. Who do you think someone would help, a little girl or the grown man in a box?"
"Both?" I questioned myself.
"No, no one cares for me. They think because I'm grown I could get a job. But I have a condition that makes me unable to work." He told me.
"Oh.." What else could I say?
"You should go. To a populated area. Go to the stores. Or by the roads. Do you need anything else?" He asked.
"No. Thank you." I said.
"If you need something, go by the taco place." He informed me. "That's where I live."
"Okay." I said. "Thanks for everything."
"No problem, now go." He said.
"Bye."
"Bye." I was on my own. I needed to go to the store. I ran, and ran. I got to the small store and I bought some candy and canned food. The candy was cheap, and the canned food was a good meal. At least for me. I left and I looked for an area to set up a "home". I found one by the small toy shop. Many kids and people would be there, so that's how I needed to get money. I held my bear, and put my small blanket on me, then went to sleep.
