Lance's POV
We've been up in space for almost a year now. I'm almost 18 as well. Lately I've also been having headaches, and my limbs have hurt. I walked out of my room and slowly walked to the dinner room. My legs felt like they were burning up. My birthday was tomorrow and the pain just increased as the day drew closer. I walked through the door and leaned against the doorway. Keith glanced up at me, "Hey you ok?"
"I'm fine, I just have a migraine" I sat down in the chair next to Kieth. He patted my back and handed me some juice.
"This might help" he suggested. I took the drink and sipped it. It tasted sweet and tangy. I gulped it down.
"That was amazing! Did Hunk make it?" I asked with stars in my eyes.
"No Coran made it...." He answered. I felt as if my whole head was about to explode. I yelled in pain. Kieth was at my side in a second. "What's the matter?!?" He asked frantically. I felt myself feel faint and the darkness took over.
        I woke up to see I was in my room and tucked into my bed with a cloth over my head. I sat up and looked at the clock it was 6pm. Only 8 hours left until I was born. I layed back down and fell back asleep.
     I jolted up in bed as pain coursed through my body. I screamed in agony. I felt my ears burn and felt like they got longer. My whole body glowed blue as a blue swirled around my body. My hair grew longer. I ran to the bathroom and I saw elfin ears, blue marks, and white hair. "No no no no no this can't be happening." I started pulling on my hair to see if it was some kind of joke. I ran and sobbed on my bed. "Who am I?" I cried out. I heard rapping at the door.
    "Lance? Are you ok?!?!" It was Kieth. He sounded worried. I pulled the blankets over me and started sobbing. I didn't know who I was anymore. The door opened. I just sobbed more. I was so confused and depressed. "Lance?" Kieth put his hand on my back.
     "Ow!" I yelped. I pulled back. Everything hurt.
      "Lance please talk to me and let me see your beautiful face" he said gently.
       "I'm not who you think I am and I hurt. Just make it go away. Make me go away." I sobbed out. I felt the covers falling off of me and I went to grab them but, it was too late. I looked up and met Keith's eyes. He just stood there agape. I looked away and just sobbed more.
       "Lance you're Altean? What? How? When? Allura will be so happy." He rambled on.
       "Kieth can you make the pain go away. I just want to be home. I miss my my moms and my siblings. I just want to go home." I sobbed. I leaned into his chest and cried.
"Oh Lance.....I would give anything to take away the pain you feel. Let's take you to Coran and Allura ok?" He asked quietly. All I did was nod and breath in deeply. My breath slowed and my cries went quite. He helped me up and put his arm on my waist and my arm over his shoulders. We walked into the control room. There stood the princess and her adviser. She turned and gasped.
"Lance? Is that really you?" She got up and hugged me. I looked at her confused.
"You were only a baby but I would recognize that hair anywhere. You were sent to earth as a child because you were in danger and needed to be protected. Our father, Alfor made sure to put your pod on sleep mode. I guess you floated up in space until 18 years ago. When I saw you I thought it was you it's just I didn't know. Your moms found you. The rest you know." She explained.
"Wait so I'm Altean? That means I'm a prince......" I trailed off bewildered. Allura nodded. I jumped with joy, "I've always wanted to be a prince! This is a dream come true." I jumped in Kieth's arms. He laughed and swung me around. I looked in his eyes and blushed. He smiled with pink cheeks. Allura and Coran left the room smiling. Kieth started to lean in a bit. I leaned in as well. I felt his soft lips against my mine. The kiss was soft and sweet and short. It was perfect none the less.
