Chapter one

'I love school, but hated my classmates. Sure they were okay at times, but they insisted on making out in the corner instead of finishing their homework. On the flip side, I preferred schoolwork to boys. I find love something that I don't want to fit into my busy schedule. I don't mind that though. I'm 17 years old with an amazingly supportive family and several awesome friends. Everyone encourages my push for grades and they know that I don't want to date. Every once and a while though they will pull the, 'there will be cute guys' card. I will admit, I've gone along with them. I didn't find any of the guys charming though. My sister is on her third boyfriend, and my brother has had a multitude of girlfriends and even a few boyfriends.
Yeah.
He's bisexual! But that's okay.
My parents actually don't care what our sexuality is.
I think that's what makes us such a close family.-'
"Kayla!" I was broken out of my blog bubble by my 14 year old sister, Jenny, yelling for me.
"What?" I yelled back. The brunette popped into my room.
"Mom says supper will be ready in five. What are you writing?" Jenny ventured in farther, peering over my shoulder to get a look at my blog.
"We have to write about ourselves for health class for our peers to identify any 'toxic energy' in our lives." I explained.
"Why are you doing it on your blog? Also don't put in my boyfriends, I don't want them knowing that." Jenny said, folding her arms as she continued to read the blog. "This is so cheesy, like, are you narrating your life or something?" Jenny asked.
"If you aren't going to offer any help, you can leave." I suggested, swiveling around in my chair.
Jenny looked around my dimly lit room for a place to sit before running and jumping on to my bed. I rolled my eyes and grabbed my laptop.
"One, if your writing the events of your life, do them in a sense that actually has organization. Like family stuff, daily stuff and personal stuff." Jenny said, as I nodded.
"Two, add some spice. Don't just recite it like it's a boring textbook reading in Mr. Garfiel's class." I laughed at her comparison to the freshman science teacher.
"Three, add description. You could probably get an A on this if you put some emphasis on the exciting things, like me, and kept the boring things to a minimum." I rolled my eyes at her.
"Jenny, this is about my life."
"We pretty much have the same life Kay." I shrugged, at her. She wasn't completely wrong, just she probably would turn into those girls who have  makeout sessions in the hallways with their boyfriends, rather than getting her work done.
"You said the supper would be ready I five minutes right?" I asked, looking at Jenny, who was screwing around with my laptop.
"Yup. Its probably done by now." I slid off the bed and headed for the door, before realizing Jenny wasn't followed.
"Jen."
"Hm?"
"Get out."
