"hi, lele!" saeyeon opened the big door for the younger. chenle smiled as he scanned the girl who was only wearing an oversized grey hoodie, probably her brother's. "hi, sae."

"well to go to my room, we have to go through my living room.. shit is tae brought his giant friends again so they're gonna be loud. i need you to keep cool, okay?" saeyeon smiled as she welcomed the chinese boy in.

chenle chuckled. "yeah, sure."

they walked towards the living room while chenle was complementing the house. it was big and spacious with loads of family pictures and photos of the kim siblings, which reminded chenle of his own house back in china.

the closer they got to the living room, the louder the male voices got. saeyeon sighed before opening another big door, revealing several couches, a big television that displayed 'netflix' and snacks all over the floor. not forgetting seven men who were being loud as fuck.

"oh hey saeyeon! ooh, is our girl finally getting some?!" a guy with plump lips, and slightly light hair shouted as he landed his eyes at the two.

"no, shitjin. this is my friend from uni. he just came here to hang." saeyeon rolled her eyes.

taehyung eyed the green haired boy and furrowed his eyebrows. "i never saw you with him before. when did you become friends?" he asked, still suspicious.

"my name is zhong chenle. i'm majoring in music education." he smiled at the seven older men in front of him.

"he's so cute.." the pink haired boy exclaimed as he examined chenle from head to toe.

chenle smiled at the compliment. "thank you!"

"okay, don't bother us because we're gonna spill some tea to each other, okay? don't let me catch y'all slipping!" saeyeon grabbed chenle's wrist and dragged him along to her room.

once they got there, saeyeon locked the door and went to her mini fridge. "do you want some milk?"

chenle awed at the mini fridge. "s-sure.. you have a- a mini fridge in your room?" he asked in disbelief.

"yeah. i'm so lazy.. so my parents were understanding and gave me a mini fridge, since my mom was like that too." she chuckled.

"anyway, let's get straight to it."

"i'm sorry, okay? but my feelings are gone, le. i need to go– i'll call you back later." the line went off.

chenle stared at his phone.

he threw his phone on his bed and laid back. staring at the ceiling as tears formed in his eyes.

he sobbed as his tears stain his white bedsheet. "why? why why why?"

chenle went to his mirror and just felt like punching it. and so he did.

he watched his own fist bleed. glass shards near his knees. "fuck, mom's gonna kill me,"

"heh, whatever."

he proceeded to clean up his mess and treat his wound somehow. he went and laid back down on his bed and closed his eyes. "she'll call back, huh?"

he crawled to the light switch near his bed and turned the lights off. "i should wait then." he said, quietly as he felt even more sleepy than before.

and he waited. he really did.

to no avail for two years.
