"ms. saeyeon, some people are at the door for you. i'm not quite sure who they are. one of them said that they're some acquaintances of yours. his name is huang renjun. i haven't asked his other friends. is that true?" the man with slicked back grey hair asked the girl politely.

"yes, i was waiting for them. don't call the driver or anything. we're just gonna walk somewhere together, i don't think we'll be going far. i'll notify you if anything happens." saeyeon smiled softly at her butler.

she stood up from her seat and walked towards the big dark oak door. the two men beside the door gazed at saeyeon for a bit, wondering why she looked a bit different. they quickly threw a smile and opened the door for her.

the door opened, revealing five guys standing in front of it.

"hi, saeyeon." renjun waved and smiled at her.

she gave him a small smile in return as she observed the five boys.

"so, let's go?" renjun asked as he scratched the back of his head. saeyeon nodded in response and turned to the two men holding the door.

"just tell taehyung that i'm going somewhere with my friends. and do tell him to not spam my phone with calls." she informed. the two men nodded as they closed the door after she gave them a signal.

five of them walked deeper into the empty park. saeyeon nervously looked to the boy in front of her. "renjun, are you sure we're going the right way?"

and that earned a tongue click. "can't you just keep walking? it's not like we're not gonna kidnap you or anything because you're rich or something." she looked back to lock eyes with the pink haired boy.

"put those airpods of yours in use if you don't want to me hear me. also, who even asked you?"

that earned some snickers and some muffled laughters.

jeno put his hand on jaemin's left shoulder. "rest in peace, now wear your airpods and let's keep walking."

jaemin scoffed at the girl who is now having a little conversation with renjun.

"woah. this is.. really pretty." saeyeon exclaimed as she gazed at the clear lake. the only source of light was from the sun and most of the sunlight was blocked by the trees.

"right? we usually hang out here, aside from the old big tree at the campus." renjun stated. saeyeon only hummed in response as she closed her eyes, enjoying the quietness.

her little moment got ruined by a simple, loud yawn. "anyways, can we just start eating?"

saeyeon opened her eyes in annoyance as she turned her attention to the source of the loud yawn.

jaemin only stared at her back. "what are you looking at?" he asked, agitated. saeyeon just scoffed at the boy and looked back to renjun who was now setting a checkered mat.

"we always bring snacks for new members. it has been a long time since we did these." renjun chuckled as he took out some yoghurt drinks. "we bring our snacks to enjoy together. that's why i told you to bring some too. anyways, what did you bring?" renjun asked, kindly.

saeyeon sat down the mat with renjun and opened her black backpack, pulling out two bags of flaming hot cheetos.

chenle grabbed one out of the girl's hand out of excitement, "woah! i finished mine last month! thank god you brought these!"

chenle stopped as he realized the stares from his friends. he looked down in embarrassment and gave the bag back to saeyeon. "sorry, i got excited."

saeyeon only smiled softly. "it's fine, really. i have a lot at home so you can come there if you want some." she ran her hand through her straight black hair.

chenle widen his eyes. "really? are you sure about this? like one hundred percent?" chenle asked, not believing what he's hearing. he received a small nod and a smile.

"of course. you guys made time to take me here. i want to do something to repay you guys. talk to me if you need anything. even help with projects. i'll try to help you guys with those. and for snacks, my house has loads." saeyeon blurted.

almost all of them smiled. "thanks, saeyeon!" of course, except for jaemin.

"we aren't gold diggers. no need to brag about snacks." jaemin scoffed. saeyeon only glared at him. as much as she's annoyed, she can't really go crazy on him since he also made time to be here with them. not to mention how annoyed he was hearing saeyeon asking multiple times.

"who pissed in your coffee this morning, nana?" jeno chuckled. jaemin rolled his eyes and took off his airpods.

"whatever, let's just start the ceremony." he said, making saeyeon's eyebrows furrow.

"what ceremony?" she asked, looking at the others.

"it's just a little thing we do for new members. the last person we did it on was jaemin. right?" jisung looked over to the pink haired boy. jaemin smiled and hummed at jisung. typical.

renjun rummaged through his fanny pack and found what he was looking for. it was a little pin, DNYL written on a pink heart which was dripping. underneath the pink heart, was a red heart, also dripping.

"we all have these. mine's green, jeno's magenta, renjun's light blue, jaemin's purple, chenle's pink and harvey's azure blue. and yours, red." jisung pointed to the pin renjun was holding.

"we wear it when we just hang out together. you can wear it anywhere. but if you'd like, you can pin it on your bag or something. harvey does that." chenle exclaimed.

saeyeon looked at the pin that renjun was giving her. she held it and smiled at the boys. "thanks. this feels official. i'll pin it to my bag." she said, making the others smile.

"but we still have another thing we should teach you." jeno smirked. "a choreography! we made this song and we also made a dance to it. specifically- me, jisung and harvey did." he winked.

"well, sure. but i'm not that good-"

"shh, that's what jaemin said and he's not bad. he's really good actually. now, let's teach you a bit of it then we can end it!"

"you did great! now the ceremony is done. you're officially a member!" renjun exclaimed as he clapped his hands, making saeyeon laugh.

they sat down and ate all their snacks together. they were having a pleasant time when it was interrupted by a noise. specifically, a notification bell from saeyeon's phone.

she opened her phone and flinched at the brightness of the pixel screen and quickly turned it down.

the notification only made all of them laugh.
