jamie nervously played with the sleeves of her black hoodie, it up and covering her just as dark brown long hair. she had a backpack on and another carry-on in her hand as her eyes scanned the airport.

she could barely understand most of the korean on all the signs. sure, she could speak it and understand it, but she could barely read or write in it.

"jamie!"

her eyes lit up as she turned towards her cousin, but stopped at the sight of the male next to him.

he was hot, no doubt. his chocolate hair was messy and long, falling over his eyes. he was smiling, his dimples showing as he laughed at something her cousin said. he was tall, much taller than her, and he held himself with such confidence it made jamie weak.

she felt the nerves buzz in her as her cousin brought her into a hug.

"hey jammie," he grinned a boyish grin, "i missed you."

"i missed you too johnny," jamie smiled softly.

"oh, you remember jung jaehyun, right? my roommate?" johnny asked, turning towards said male who was awkwardly standing off to the side.

he gave her a short wave and she felt her heart pound in her chest as she sent him a shy smile back.

there was no way this is was the same male she had talked to pretty much everyday, the dorky kid in the picture johnny had sent her.

"where is your bag?" johnny asked, "we got the majority of your stuff already."

jamie snapped tour of her dream, "i didn't get it yet, i'm so confused, i can't read anything."

"hey, korean," johnny scolded lightly, grinning, "you need to learn. now, read the signs to me."

jamie groaned and jaehyun giggled.

"here, i'll help you," the younger male offered.

he did just that, helping jamie to understand the signs and eventually get her bag.

"today is going to be a great day," johnny exclaimed as they walked to his car, his arms in the air as he stretched, a big grin on his lips.

jamie let out a hum, a smile on his lips as well as she slowly grew more comfortable to the group.

"how's mom and dad?" johnny asked, "i haven't talked to them in a while."

jamie shrugged, "okay. they said that they miss you."

johnny whined, "of course. they probably sent something with you to get me to come visit too, didn't they?"

jamie snickered and nodded, reading into her coat pocket and handing him the letter from his mother.

johnny groaned, but couldn't help the smile on his lips as he took it, his other hand dragging jamie's suitcase.

jaehyun kept mostly quiet, a smile on his lips nonetheless. he had jamie's guitar on one shoulder and his hands in his pockets as he walked in pace with johnny, jamie lingering behind slightly.

it didn't take long for them to get to the apartment, all catching up and happily talking.

"you're sharing with me, i hope you don't mind," johnny smiled sheepishly.

jamie shook her head, "i've never shared a room, i'm excited!"

johnny's smile turned happy and he nodded, opening the door to his room.

jamie stood in shock for a minute. the room was full.

random knick-knacks were everywhere, littering the floor and on different shelves all over the walls. there was only a small space open and there was an air mattress where that was.

jamie looked at johnny in concern, but he was already expertly in the room and sitting on his bed.

she glanced at jaehyun who was standing behind her with the same look of dispare and he nodded in mutual understanding.

"what's wrong?" johnny asked, "what's with those looks you're giving each other?"

"nothing," jamie mumbled, walking in and putting her stuff down in the small room behind her mattress.

she noticed some of her boxes had been shipped and happily took her guitar from jaehyun and put it on her bed, running her fingers down the case.

"welcome home," johnny smiled, "i hope you enjoy it."

"i love it," jamie beamed, "thank you again guys. i really don't know where i would be if it weren't for you two."

"well," johnny dragged, "you would probably be in chicago still, just a wild guess."

jamie deadpanned at johnny who was laughing, jaehyun joining in on the laughter.

"let's go out for dinner! there is this korean barbecue place i want to take you," johnny jumped to his feet.

jamie nodded and yawned, "sure, let's go."

"oh, right, jet-lag," johnny stopped and frowned, "do you not want to go out tonight?"

jamie shook her head, "i'm fine! i slept on the plane, so i'm alright."

"jaehyun is going to go with you on your first day tomorrow," johnny said as they sat at the restaurant, jaehyun quietly grilling the meat, "i have work and class."

"okay, have fun, work hard," jamie smiled softly, nervous over the idea of being alone with jaehyun.

jaehyun smiled at her, "i'm assisting there for this year, so i'll go to and from with you everyday. let me know if you need anything."

jamie nodded, "thank you."

"oh! can we take a picture?" johnny asked, pouting, "i want a picture of all of us!"

jamie and jaehyun reluctantly gave in and johnny cheered, giving his phone to someone who worked at the restaurant.

the group positioned themselves so they could be seen by the camera, johnny's arms slung over jaehyun's shoulders and jamie's shoulders, jamie's other hand sneakily behind johnny's head, her fingers up making bunny ears and she moved them so they looked like they were moving up and down, a wide, proud smile on her lips. jaehyun, who had noticed jamie's bunny ears, laughed, holding up a peace sign near his face.

the group was satisfied with it when they got it back, getting johnny to send it to the other two.

jamie was wide awake by the time they got home, making both johnny and jaehyun laugh.

"do you want to watch a movie?" jaehyun suggested, "i've wanted to watch that new horror movie for ages now."

jamie looked panicked as johnny shrugged and sat down, "can we not?"

"scaredy cat," jaehyun and johnny sung and jamie sat down and pouted, "am not."

jamie wrapped herself in a blanket, leaning into johnny who was on her right, jaehyun's arm laying across the back of the couch behind her from her left.

johnny cooed over how scared she was, calling her cute and telling her how it wasn't that scary.

this made jamie mad, so she turned and leaned into jaehyun, putting her face in his chest so she couldn't see the tv.

her heart was beating fast and she felt her face turn red as he laughed and she felt the reverberations from it, his other hand moving and finding its way on top of her head.

"hey," johnny whined, "don't tell me you're falling for jaehyun!"

jaehyun giggled and jamie groaned, "shut up johnny!"

jamie stayed by jaehyun's side for the rest of the movie and reluctantly went to bed afterwords, laying on her bed and looking at the picture of the three of them on her phone.

she smiled brightly and set it to her background, admiring how happy they all looked.

for once in a long time, jamie was looking forward to the next day and the adventures that were to come.

"jamie! we're going to be late!"

jamie quickly sped into the living room, pulling up one of her socks as she hopped on her other foot. her polo's buttons were all unbuttoned, showing off the cross necklace she had on. she had rings all over her fingers and chain earrings. her brown hair was left down and her bangs were still in rollers.

jaehyun laughed as he watched her speed by, grabbing a piece of toast he had made and putting it in her mouth.

she quickly grabbed her backpack and pulled it over her shoulder, pulling on her sneakers and tying them.

jaehyun stopped her, "don't choke please."

she stopped as he pulled her hair out from in between her backpack and back and poked her roller.

jamie pulled her roller out and fixed her bangs in the mirror before beaming at jaehyun, "let's go!"

"aren't you nervous?" he asked as they got on the subway.

jamie shrugged, "not really. i have a good feeling about this school."

jamie took a minute to admire jaehyun, his hair was styled nicely and he was wearing professional clothes: a white and blue stripped button up and a matching strip of fabric that he tied under his collar. he had on a grey blazer that matched a pair of grey slacks and a pair of black dress boots topped the look.

jamie cleared her throat and looked away, trying to see if anyone else on the subway was going to yongsan international as well.

she couldn't see anyone, so she was left looking out the window, excitement buzzing in her veins.

jaehyun took her to the office and jamie couldn't help but laugh at the looks all the females gave jaehyun as he walked around.

jaehyun noticed her laugh and looked at her in confusion, "what?"

"nothing," jamie smiled innocently, "don't worry about it."

"there should be someone coming to help you around," jaehyun mumbled, "oh, whatever, i'll take you to your first class, it's near mine."

jamie trailed a step behind jaehyun, looking at everyone in awe.

"good luck today, okay squirt?" jaehyun said, smiling at her, "i'll see you at the end of the day, i'll text you where to meet up."

jamie nodded obediently, "why squirt?"

"because your small," jaehyun giggled, "bye squirt!"

jamie laughed lightly and waved to him as he walked away before going into her class.

"hi!" a girl with dark brown hair, similar to jamie's, said, holding her hand out, "my name is choi yena, welcome to yongsan!"
