jamie and jaehyun sat at the table, both fidgeting with nerves and anticipation, staring at johnny as he drank his coffee and watched the good place, an american show jamie had gotten him and jaehyun into. with work, he was far behind the other two who binged it every chance they could.

he glanced at the two every few minutes, creeped out by their staring.

"is something... wrong?" johnny voiced hesitantly, "you two have been staring at me for the past twenty minutes..."

"you say it," jaehyun immediately said, turning to jamie who gasped.

"no, you!"

the two bickered back and forth for a few minutes, making johnny even more uneasy.

"someone spit it out," johnny finally said, "i'm almost done with my coffee and you know i'm happiest when drinking it."

they knew, that's why they caught him on his day off, with his cup of coffee and his favorite show at the moment, the most at peace he could be, except maybe when he's reading on a rainy night or with little kids, but that's besides the point.

"they're your friends," jaehyun mumbled so johnny couldn't hear, making jamie shoot him a glare and mutter a "fine."

"johnny, my dear brother," jaehyun stifled a laugh, making jamie slap the back of his head, "our lease is almost up and to be honest, this apartment is way too small for our growing family."

johnny raised his eyebrows in alarm and confusion, "you're pregnant?"

jaehyun burst out laughing, tears falling out of his eyes as jamie lit up in embarrassment, dismissing the thought.

"jaehyun is a baby daddy? what? what is it?" johnny asked, confused.

this led jaehyun to getting embarrassed and jamie laughing.

johnny sighed, "just tell me!"

"well, with jaemin practically living here and the fact that lucas needs a home because he's not allowed to live alone when he gets out of the hospital and he claims in his only friend at the moment besides jaehyun and mark but he doesn't want to bother mark and jaehyun lives with us he was wondering if he could stay with us because his family sucks and is going back to china soon-"

johnny smiled, cutting jamie off guard, "of course he can live with us! i agree anyway, this apartment is getting way too cramped for my liking. maybe we can get a house! or a bigger apartment! oh, then we can get the dog we've always wanted!"

jaehyun and jamie were slightly taken aback by johnny's enthusiasm.

"of course we need to stay in the area because of jaemin and our schools, but we should be able to find something affordable! i was waiting to tell you guys, but i got promoted to manager!" johnny proudly ranted.

"woah, really?" the other two cheered, "we're so proud!"

"i was about to pick up more shifts at the cafe anyway," jaehyun informed, "and there is a spot free that jamie could take because i know you're worried about her working."

"yeah!" jamie excitedly continued, "and i could do some tutoring too for a bit until we are stable!"

for the rest of the day, the three excitedly talked about their new home; thinking of ideas, looking online, debating over which neighborhood was better, and enjoying the idea of something new.
