He dug his hand in his pocket and took out his pack of medicine, He got up and went to the sink in the kitchen.

Kojaku's ' I really wanted my life to be over aoba, but you inspired me to live...but it just didn't happen, When I dropped my guard, It all comes flowing back, The one day in my life, That bloody day...." he turned his head to the side "And killing ryuho didn't solve anything

Noiz "A world where you can't feel anythingIs lonely.....You don't know what anyone else is feeling...." he said "Who's give a damn if I died out there?" He asked
"No family....No friends...Or anyone else to worry about me...."

Clear " The first decision I ever made on my own..." he raised the knife near his head "The one I made to protect you two
And I'm going to keep my promise, So please let me do this" He then stabbed himself in the head

" hey..." he didn't pay attention to the voice until it got louder " hey!" He then snapped out of it and saw the water spilling out of the glass

He turned his head and saw, Noiz arrived who turned off the sink. "What are you spacing out about?" he asked. Aoba looked at him. Not saying anything.

Time skip

Aoba took his pill, then the water

"Are your headaches bothering you?" Kyouka asked concerned "Yeah, they are." Aoba replied, "So, how's Clear?"

"We got some patch work done. We're still going to have to find a shop or something to get him running right." Noiz said while Kyouka remained quiet

Aoba put his cup in the sink. "Thanks for that." A silence fell between them. "Not sure when," Noiz suddenly said. Aoba and Akira looked to him, which he looked back to Aoba, glancing between him and kyouka.

She and Aoba looked down, Then, Aoba clicked his watch and pulled up the invitation he received to come to Platinum Jail. "Every one of us got an invitation here," He let the screen disappear, "They laid a trap for us. It started with that guy, Ryuho, those Morphine guys, and the two guys who look just like Clear."

"You knew they were after you two?" Noiz questioned. "I still don't know why you guys got invitations. Toue wants something with us, I get that." Aoba said

"Think about it," Kyouka said making them look at her

"Getting the two that he really wants, but why not hurt others to add some spice to the pot?"

"You think we got an invitation so he could hurt us?" Noiz asked. "Why not? You guys are friends of ours and what better way to hurt someone by hurting another they care about?"

"And because of us, you're all involved in this." Aoba added. "Because, we wanted to be." A new voice said. Aoba, Noiz, and kyouka looked to the doorway and saw Koujaku standing there. "Koujaku!" Aoba exclaimed, "Are you okay, now?"

"Yeah, I'm pretty good," He brought a hand to his head, "Still clearing the cobwebs out." He looked to Noiz, taking his hand down, "How's Clear doing?"

"It was a mess in there, but I really can't do a whole lot more in this amusement park." Noiz answered. "All right." Noiz looked to Aoba and kyouka. "So, anyway, I don't deny that Toue is after you two, but still..."

"But, what?" Aoba asked. "There's gotta be something else." Aoba and Koujaku got the same confused looks. "No, he's right. There is something else. The only question is, what is it?" Kyouka asked.

Mink's guys pulled out crates and opened them to revealing guns

Back at the suite

The group were sitting on the sofa's excerpt for noiz, who stood with his back turned

"And when Morphine attacked us..." noiz began

" I told you to stop!!!!!" Aoba shouted with the distorted voice

"All those guys, they all just stopped. Like somehow they were obeying every word you said to them." Aoba and kyouka shifted. "Well...yeah." Aoba said. "And then...I heard a voice in my head, telling me you two were going to come inside. And then you were there." Koujaku looked to them.

Kyouka griped her hands

"Yeah, well...That was me using my Scrap power on you and, I brought Kyouka in with me by holding onto her hand That's how it's supposed to work." He remembered what tae said

" you have the ability to project your mind and consciousness into the minds of others when you want to" she says, which surprised aoba " we refer to that power as Scrap back when I worked at the lab"

Noiz looked back to him "Scrap?" He asked.

"Yeah. If I really feel like doing it, I can go inside someone's head and make them do anything that I want. All I have to do to learn everything about someone is force my own thought stream into their unconscious mind at any time. And kyouka summoned demon snow to knock away obstacles that attacked us or blocked us from getting to you."

"So, that's what you were doing." Koujaku said, finally understanding when Aoba and kyouka were in his mind.

"Yeah." Aoba said "I didn't know how to control my power, when I wound up mind to mind with Mizuki... And then..."

Kyouka's grip increased in anger

"And then, all of us got the invites to come here. Toue's been sending guys after us without a break. And that means he's trying or succeeding at brainwashing people. And what's worse, he's probably recruiting us to do it. You remember, don't you, Koujaku? It was part of the fireworks and light show. And Clear knew about the effects of the Dye music--he sings it. And we went inside Noiz after Toue got control of him." Noiz's eyes softened

"And there's that anniversary event coming up. Toue's going to use it to brainwash everyone he hasn't gotten to yet. I want to do everything I can to keep that from happening."

"Yeah." Koujaku agreed. "But, we're the ones Toue wants, not you guys. We can't ask you to put yourselves in danger like that. And I think I speak for Kyouka too, when I say that." Who nodded.

Koujaku gasped. "It's not like you were the only ones who got invited." He said. "Okay...But, still, that does worry me."

"At this point, we all have a reason to worry, Aoba. But, as of right now, I'm done worrying," She says, before she got up, "It's been a long couple of days, Aoba. We all need some sleep.

"Yeah, you're right." He said

"Good night," due started walking up the stairs, but she stopped on the platform and closed her eyes, tilting her head down, "I love you all." Aoba and Koujaku widened their eyes, but Noiz just stared at her

She said nothing more and proceeded upstairs and went to her room.

In the tower

Toue looked at the screens which projected a single eye

" if we're ready sir" his assistant says

"yes, the time has come for the people of this island to move under my command, I'm overjoyed, how about you?" He asked his assistant

" yes sir" he replied

" midirojima's only the start you know, after the island it'll be time to extend our sphere of influence to the whole of Japan, then the world itself, can't you just see it happening takahashi?" He asked

His assistant turned to look at him but didn't say anything

"Your not sure?" He asks "Just remember this for future reference, In order to win your battles you have to be able to conceive of the victories and how they're won ahead of time" he sighs "Yes indeed the goddess of battles is smiling On me today, We're going to give the entire world a face lifter takahashi, However we're going to need aoba seragaki to be the surgeon"

" and miss kyouka?" Takahashi asked

" she, she is the shield that'll keep my enemies at bay" the man says with that sick smirk of his

Back at the suite

Kyouka sat on the edge of her bed, her hands folded and she stared at the ground

She looked up when she felt a presence in the room and saw demon snow, The phone buzzed and she looked and saw a message from demon snow

' Kyouka? Your eyes look sad. What is wrong?'

She sighed and then hugged her Legs close to her chest. "...I don't want to do this anymore. I can't take it anymore....Koujaku, Noiz, Clear, aoba.....they've all been hurt because of me..... I don't want them getting hurt anymore."

The girl looked up with a sad look in her eyes "You must feel the same way too, right? When mom died? You must have been mad at toue...right?"

She didn't reply though Kyouka could tell she was right, demon snow was angry, her first mistress murdered and she couldn't do nothing about it, she then said through the phone

' So...what should we do?'

Kyouka had an idea, she was hesitant, but then she started thinking about her friends, how much they suffered trying to protect her and keep her safe,

"This might be the most reckless thing we will ever do...but I think we should go to the Over Tower ourselves and try shutting Platinum Jail down for good."

Demon snow cocked her head a little

'Right...but how are we going to do that?' She asked

" I can handle being sneaky, and I have watched Aoba work on the computer so many times, I think shutting everything down won't be too much of an issue. I want this to be stopped and even if that means we die, at least we can die, knowing we were able to stop Toue from brainwashing anyone else....On top of which, he will be brought to justice for doing what he did to Mizuki and everyone else...This will be stupid and maybe unwise, but if means putting a stop to Toue's plan, then I'd rather go with my gut, than stick around and wait, only to regret it later...and it's better than being a bride to an old man...." she cringed at the last part

After they're conversation, kyouka grabbed her hoodie and slipped it on, then grabbed her shoes.

The entire time, her heart ached and wrenched with such exhausting pain, but no tears came.

She put her shoes on and finally looked over at the clock, It was nearly midnight.

She sighed, She went to Koujaku's room, peering inside, watching him sleep for a few minutes.

She closed her eyes and quietly shut the door, She went to Noiz's next, also watching him as he slept, She closed the door after a little bit and the proceeded to

Clear's room, He was still unconscious, but he didn't appear to be in anymore pain, but she frowned at the amount of bandages he was wrapped in, which she clenched her fist

She approached his bedside and leaned over, placing a soft kiss on his forehead ' enough is enough...I can't let you guys or anyone else get hurt...' she wanted to go and see aoba one last time, in case it was the last time she'd see him, or the others, but she figured if he were awake, he'd stop her, so she finally went downstairs, and exited Glitter.

As she walked by an alley near Glitter, she stopped as she saw mink standing there. "You...?" She asked surprises

He looked to over with his cold, expressionless blue eyes until he noticed it was her and His eyes softened

"What are you doing?" He asked

"I should be asking you that. What are you doing outside the suite?"

"Waiting."

"For?" He didn't reply, She sighed and she looked forward. " leave aoba out of this, take me instead" she said making his eyes brows furrow " what?"

" I'm going to the over tower..." she says which for the first time makes his eyes widen " no...your not going"

" you can't stop me" she shook her head

" do you have any idea what your doing?!" He exclaimed

" I do..." she says in a serious tone, close to his usual tone "I'm not letting anyone else sacrifice themselves for me...not aoba, not Kojaku, noiz, tae...clear...you...or even mom..." she croaked at the last person she mentioned which his eyes soften again

" I won't loose anyone else like her! And I won't let anyone else suffer the same way!" She said in a sad but furious voice

" so either come with me and help me, or I go alone....." he didn't say anything, so with that, she walked on.

Suddenly, she heard a motorcycle start up. She looked back, seeing Mink drive out from the alley and come up beside her, He stopped beside her and looked to her

"Get on." He said. Which made widened her eyes a little, he placed his hand on her head " I lost you once, I'm not loosening you again like your mother..."

she smiled softly, kyouka got on the motorcycle behind Mink, holding onto him from behind, He revved the engine, then took off

The little rabbit allmate hopped in they're direction

" so what are we gonna do now Huh?" Kyouka asked as they rode on

" your gonna help me out with my plan" mink says

" it would help if I knew as well" she complained

" yeah but it help even more if you didn't" he said which peeved her off

As they arrived at the Over Tower, Mink led kyouka from a back door, making their way through the lower levels ' this is the over tower....' she says surprised

there were machines and generators were, and were making their way up.

Somehow or another, Mink was able to get by closed doors, typing in the codes and so on.

Finally, he stopped and he opened up a vent. "You got to go through here." "What?"

"I can't gain access to this door, so you have to open it for me on the outside. Here, take this." He gave her an earpiece.

"Can't you?"

"See the size of the vent? You're smaller and you can fit in there." She sighed and she took the earpiece, putting it in her right ear. "Okay."

"I'll talk you through it and tell you the code." She nodded and then she approached him. He knelt down, folding his hands on his knee.

She stepped into his hands and he lifted her up. She crawled into the vent and began to military crawl through it. "Where am I going?" She asked. "After about 50 feet or so, you should run into an intersection. I want you to go left."

"Okay." She continued to crawl and then she came to the intersection. She took a left, "Where to now?"

"Keep going straight and then make a right." She panted heavily, starting to sweat. "I should've left my hoodie" She whispered to herself.

As Mink waited, he heard someone coming. He flipped around, only to see Aoba. "What are you doing here, kid?" "Kyouka's not at Glitter and I heard your bike take off. I assumed you'd be here." Mink slightly jolted as he heard a terrified gasp come from the earpiece, She suddenly screamed.

Mink looked to the vent. "What? What is it? What's going on" He asked.

"The vent! It's coming apart. I think it's really weak. What do I do!?"

"Where is she?" Aoba questioned. "Is that Aoba!?" Kyouk exclaimed. "Yeah, he's here." Mink answered

She felt her heart jump with a bit of relief, but the vent was slowly bending and creaking.

She whimpered and shut her eyes tightly. " please, I can't do this." She said.

"I want you to spread your body out. If you're in a crawling position, you need to flatten out, it'll even your weight some more. Place your hands on the walls of the vents." Mink instructed.

Kyouka gulped and she slowly did what he instructed, The vent jolted as she saw the the metal creaked

She let out a shriek of fear. Gasping, she wasted no more time, quickly crawling to a more stable part of the vent.

The vent jolted and started coming apart from behind her, quickly catching up to her.

The vent broke apart and kyouka gripped onto the ledge of the more stable part of the vent.

The metal of the vent groaned and creaked. The little bit that was barely holding the fallen part was breaking apart.

After a moment or so, the piece of the vent detached, however, she was hanging off.

"Oh, my God! Oh, my God...dad...help...!" Kyouka gripped was tight as she could whimpering and crying, on the other side the tall man's eyes widened when she called him dad

"Kyouka!" She heard Aoba call.

" Kyouka! Use demon snow!" Mink yelled

She gasped and she lost one hand's grip. She looked down and she saw nothing, but darkness, but grabbed the phone " demon snow!-" she yelped When the metal she held came lose

" Kyouka!" She heard yells, but she didn't feel herself falling, in fact, she was demon snow floating, while holding her in her arms

"Kyouka?! kyouka!?" Mink called out,

She managed to collect her breath and respond " I'm...okay...." both sighed in relief, she crawled through the small space

She managed to climb back up and she hurried down the vent, panting and collecting herself form the shock

She arrived at the opening of the vent she pushed the screen out the way, then threw herself out of the vent, hitting the floor.

She panted heavily and shaking.

She looked to the door and barely had the strength to stand to get to the keypad.

She gasped and she leaned against the wall.

She swallowed hard, trying to regain herself. "D-dad...?" She choked out.

"Kyouka!? Are you okay!?"

"I'm....okay....The...code..." She panted. "39280." She said with a shakily breath

He pressed each button and then it lit up green saying, 'Access Granted'. The doors opened and Aoba and Mink rushed in.

Aoba hurried to Kyouka's side and wrapping his arms around her, hugging her tightly.

" a-aoba?!"

"Thank God You're okay! Don't ever do that to me again! You scared the hell out of me! Especially when I saw you leave!"

Kyouka was still trembling, the only thing keeping her up was Aoba holding unto her, She gripped onto his coat

"Are you okay?" Mink asked, She looked to Mink and slowly nodded, although her her body and still shaking a little

"We'll take a moment to let you regain yourself. You. Come here." Aoba set her down and he turned to Mink.

The two walked a few feet away from Kyouka, who was taking a quick break

Mink held up a jumpstick to Aoba. "Go ahead and put this in your Allmate." He said. Aoba took it, looking at it. "What's it supposed to be?"

"That's a worm. Not the kind a vet can fix either. We get to the control room, you plug your Allmate into the network, and bye-bye big guns." Mink said

"What's it going to do to Ren, when I put this inside him?" Aoba asked

"Don't know." Mink replied

"What the hell is that supposed to mean?! If this thing kills Allmates, why would I put it in Ren? Nice try, Ace. Now, take it back!" He handed it back to Mink. Mink backhanded his hand.

"He's a machine, idiot. A freakin' toy. He breaks, you go to the shop and get a new one."

"He's not a toy, you stupid muscle head! We take care of each other, got it?"

"Fine. So, you don't want to break it, it's still a machine. They don't eat, mess the house, and they're damn easy to replace."

"Hey! Maybe you treat that bird of yours like a toy. But, I would never do that to Ren."

"I might understand if he was a real dog. Remember, you still owe me. You better make the right decision." Aoba turned his head away. "No way," Mink grabbed him by the collar of his jacket, then punched him.

Kyouka gasped and she looked up, "Hey! What's your prob--?" Aoba stopped as he was struck again.

"Right now, you're my problem, got it?" He punched Aoba again, this time releasing him and Aoba backed up into the wall.

Kyouka staggered to her feet, her side which felt pain" Knock it off!" She demanded.

He and Aoba looked to her as she slowly walked toward them, "i thought I told you to leave him out of this. I said I don't want anyone else to suffer! I said I'd help so stop hurting him! He's not going to put any kind of USB that holds a virus into ren-" "Go ahead and use it, Aoba. It's fine." Ren said, holding the jumpstick in his mouth.

"What?! Ren!" Kyouka exclaimed. "Yeah, but you might catch a virus I can't get rid of. I don't want that." Aoba said. Ren stared at him.

"You'll fix me if it happens, right Aoba?" Ren looked up to Aoba. "But, Ren..." Aoba said, "Of course, you will."

Aoba gave in "All right. Let's find out where I can put this." Aoba reached for the USB in his mouth, but Kyouka took it and backed away.

" Kyouka. It's okay." He said. "But, Ren...He'll..." she says. "I'll be okay. Aoba will fix me if something turns out wrong. Right, Aoba?" The allmate turns to his owner

"Yes." Aoba answered. She sighed. "All right, then." She placed the USB in Aoba's hand, He clicked open Ren and put the USB in him. "Upload confirmed." Ren said. "Are you good?" Aoba asked. "Certainly. Thanks for asking." He closed Ren up and then put him into his bag

The three were back on the move, until
They finally arrived in a large room, which had large screens, showing multiple areas of Platinum Jail, and computers all throughout the room. "What is this?" Aoba asked.

"Over Tower's system control room. The light drugs, Dye music...Toue's goons run it all from here." "How...do you know about all that?"

"And I know what he's planning for his anniversary shindig." "What?" Aoba looked to Mink. "Go ahead and hook your dog up." Aoba went to a computer and opened him up, placing a cord into him.

"I'm plugging you in, Ren." Aoba informed. "Understood." Ren answered. Aoba put the other side of the cord into the monitor tower of a computer. With that, the computer began to upload the data from Ren.

Kyouka looked to Ren, seeing strange specks of light hovering around his eye.

After a minute or so, the data was uploaded and the light specks around Ren's eyes faded. "It's in." Aoba unplugged the cord ad removed it from Ren.

Aoba picked Ren up, "Sorry about that." Aoba tried to press his forehead to Ren's, a way that Aoba and Ren showed affection to one another, but Ren put his paws up to Aoba's chin, stopping him,

"What's up?" Ren stared up at him and for a brief moment, the specks of light shadowed over his eye. "Let's go," Mink said.

Aoba and kyouka looked to him, who was on some stairs, "Toue should be up on the top floor." "R-Right." Aoba stood up and he rushed after Mink, Kyouka following. As they came to an elevator

Suddenly Kyouka froze as she felt her head pound and what seemed like her entire body pulsing, She grunted and then collapsed onto the floor.

Mink and Aoba stopped as they heard her fall.

"Kyouka!" Aoba exclaimed, He rushed to her side and looked her over, making sure she was okay

She was grabbing her head in pain shaking, just like mizuki was, she held in her painful screams, but was struggling, she starts hearing a voice ' you are mine...you mother couldn't escape me...and neither can you...' tears were starting to form due to the pain

Aoba turned her over, his arm tucked under her, supporting her "Kyouka Talk to me! Are you okay!?"

She couldn't answer, but gasped when he saw the face she was pulling, she looked in pain, just like mizuki

" what's happening?!" He questioned while mink looked angry, really angry

" it's toue....!" As soon as he said that, aoba narrowed his eyes "get her to the elevator, then I can help" he said

Aoba tucked his other arm under kyouka's legs and lifted her up, carrying her bridal style, walking into the elevator.

She let out another groan, but it turned into a whimper as her head pounded violently

"Make it...stop..." She whimpered, She grabbed some of her hair, crying softly.

"Give her to me." Mink said, Aoba looked to him, but before he could move, Mink took her out of his arms. "What--? Hey! What are you doing?" Aoba questioned.

Mink didn't answer him, He pulled some kind of flask, but it was empty, Easily holding her with one arm, he brought the flask to his mouth and pulled the cap off.

He brought it to kyouka's face and held it under her nose.

A moment or so later, she was unconscious, "What the hell?! What did you do to her?!"

"I didn't do anything to hurt her. She was in pain so I used an incense to put her to sleep for a little bit."

"An incense?"

" we used this to help calm her down whenever she was on pain" The man just sat down holding onto her carefully as if he's worried he'll break her

The elevator reached floor 64, when suddenly it stopped. "We didn't stop at the top?" Aoba asked, mink gave Kyouka to aoba and got his gun, They heard that familiar, sadistic, maniacal laughter.

"Did you think we were going to just let you walk in here? Did you?!" It was Akushima, with him were men carrying guns and those robots that drove around platinum jail, this time with guns

Aoba and Mink were on opposite sides of the elevator door, out of sight.

"Akushima." Aoba said. "You really think I was done with you after your grandma's house?! You got another thing comin', you damn punk!" Akushima laughed again.

"I wonder if they brainwashed him." Aoba surmised. "Drop your weapons now and hand over the girl, I'll think about letting you live. You better be standing tall in front of me by the count of 10! And a onesie! And a twosie. And a threesie!" Mink looked to Aoba, his machine gun ready. "Don't fall behind, got it?" He said.

Mink opened the door, and threw a smoke screen. With everyone trying to get out, Mink and Aoba made their escape.

Akushima and the other police, and the machines began to fire their guns " assholes!"

Aoba raced down a hall, holding onto Kyouka, and Mink covering his back.

He stopped at the end of each hall, as Aoba continued to run, firing his machine gun to try slowing their pursuers down

He threw another grenade smoke screen, before going after Aoba, the little machines emerged from the smoke before they short circuited and hit the floor

The men in the smoke coughed, but as the smoke cleared it revealed a very angry akushima " get back to work you freakin loafers!" He yelled at them "Make a fool of me will ya?...." he grit his teeth

The guards run through the halls "All guard robots are off line! Get to the emergency exits! Don't let them leave the floor!"

In order to get out of sight, Mink and Aoba hid in a small closet-like room.

Aoba set Kyouka on the floor, Mink reached into his coat and pulled out a pistol and handed it to Aoba.

"Take it." He instructed. "Huh?" Aoba looked up to Mink, then back down to the gun, then looked away, "Mm-mm."

"I'm not going to die here and I'm not letting my daughter either, while you play with you conscience." Aoba pushed the gun away.

Mink stared at him. "You might want to think about how we're going to get out of this," He stood up, then grabbed ahold of Aoba's collar of his jacket, lifting him up.

"What are you--?" "You better use your power, if you know what's good for you," Aoba stared at him and Mink grabbed ahold of Aoba's hair, yanking on it. Aoba groaned with pain, "You better stop screwing around, boy. Use your voice, or I'll rip your tongue out."

"That...hurts...! Stop it!"

"Then, you use your voice, damn it."

One of the guards stoped and noticed them in the window

"I said, let go!" Aoba yelled, His head pounded. He opened his eyes and let out a groan as he lost consciousness

Kyouka regained consciousness and her eyes rolled over to aoba being unconscious " w-what? D-did you?!"

Mink set him down and sighed with exasperation, the door opened. "Well, well, well, look where we found you," Akushima said as he stepped into view, which Kyouka gasped in shock

"Let's not kill the kid or the girl." Kyouka staggered to her feet and Mink put one arm out to protect her, supporting Aoba with his other, "Get you ass out here!" Many of the guns cocked, preparing to shoot Mink down.

Kyouka moved to Mink scared, gripping his coat.

Suddenly, Aoba stood up and walked into the doorway, She gasped, softly.

Aoba looked up, his entire persona different.

Kyouka gripped onto Mink tighter. "...aoba?..." She whispered.

Akushima gasped. "What's he...doing?" He asked. "Leave now." Aoba demanded. His voice was full of emotion and very convincing, mink and Kyouka looked in shock

The police slightly lowered their guns, shocked by his command.

A few moments later, they all lowered their guns and began to walk away, including Akushima.

Elsewhere a certain monocle wearing turd was watching along with Sei, who was sitting on the small sofa

" you saw what he just did, did you?" Toue asked

Back with the others

"Seragaki." Mink called. "Hm?" Aoba asked, looking to Mink and kyouka.

Who narrowed her eyes, "What, now?"

"Mink, that's not the Aoba you and I know."

"What...?" She moved in front of Mink and she stared Aoba down.

"Didn't you want me to come out here and fix things? You like threatening people? How about I return the favor for you, big guy?"

Mink stared at him, "What is it you want to do with me, anyway? You better tell me," Mink was still silent "I'm actually glad you're not saying anything. Playtime. Now, I get to see what's in that brain of yours." Mink gritted his teeth, tensing up.

Kyouka glared at him "You want in? You go through me, first."

Aoba looked to her. "You can't stop me."

Kyouka quickly turned to Mink, and embraced him as Scrap was activated, With that, Aoba and kyouka entered into Mink's mind.

In mink's mind

When aoba opened his eyes, all he saw was fire and screams of torture. "Wait up, why am I.....in here?" He asked myself.

People were running away screaming while being shot at and killed " get them out of here! Put a bullet in anyone who fights!"

Aoba took a better look at the place, This it looked like some kind of village. "Is this...the place where Mink came from? And where Kyouka was born?" He asked.

He then looked around and my eyes landed on person, He was helping one of the injured people around the area " Mink!"

The place was swarming with fire and smoke.

he looked to his right. Standing there was Toue and a couple of guards " Toue!"

His eyes widened at who he had in his arms, there was a child unconscious, he also noticed the slightly bleeding on the side of her head, like she'd suffered a blow to the head, but he recognised her " Kyouka...."

There were children and adults being held captive, Then Toue spoke up. "I've heard that your people practice a secret art that uses smell to influence the minds of others." he said

"That's interesting. I would really love to study that art." The person who he was talking to stayed silent. "Your not giving me much choice. You really ought to reconsider your choice. That's too bad then." he said with his eyes closed.

Then after that,it was morning and everything was burnt away.

Mink was the only one who was last standing, He then picked up a crystal of some sort, and in his hand, he gripped a woman's ring, his wife's ring

'I understand now. All of Mink's family, his wife and people were killed for Toue's spite. And toue kidnapped Kyouka from him. And he wants revenge. I guess I would too.'

He then found himself alone, in a dark room, with black water hitting his feet.

Chains hung from all around, He proceeded to look around "Hey Mink?" His called out, his voice echoed,

"Mink!" As he moved, the water got deeper " damn it! Mink!" The water was now at his chest waist " come on man! Say something already!"

" stay away..." he heard a faint but familiar voice

He started moving in the direction of the voice Until he finally came upon a closed door

"Stay away...."

The door was getting pounded on, the handle moving. "Mink, are you in there?!" Aoba called. He finally busted the door open.

He looked see that Mink had chained up, "oh man...You actually chained yourself up in here?" He asked as Mink looked.

"What for?!" Aoba asked, "Mink!" Aoba grabbed the chains, but they burned his hands, "Why won't you let me help you?!"

"Come on! Why are you doing this?" Mink opened his eyes and looked directly to Aoba.

Then, the world of Mink's mind faded into black, When aoba opened his eyes, back in the real world again, and saw Mink standing with Kyouka looking at him worried. "Hey, Mink...Kyouka?" He said.

" hey you okay?" She asked

"Y-yeah" he groaned a little

A few moments of silence fell between them. "You going to lie there all night, Seragaki?" Mink questioned. Kyouka helped Aoba sit up. "So, are you planning to die?" Aoba asked.

While Kyouka looked at him in shock

Mink stared at him. "I knew it from the first time I saw you. You and me, both have the same scent. It's the...scent of death."

She gasped, With that, Mink turned around and walked away.

Kyouka helped Aoba stand up. "Hey, Mink. Don't die. Just live. You're alive. Cherish it besides you still have your daughter" Mink kept walking on.

Aoba sighed.
