James sighed and quietly stared of into the vast array of twinkling stars and deep blue skies, focusing his mind on the steady breathing of his companions to distract himself from thoughts. Certain thoughts, he probably shouldn't be thinking.

Without reason, James turned his body to his companion, who laid, eyes closed, on top of her sleeping bag due to the steamy summer weather. James reached over his hand to gently poke his friend in the stomach, muttering "boop" with a playful smirk while he did.

"Don't." Jessie growled, not opening her eyes and not moving while she spoke.

James didn't listen, and instead reached over without thinking and hooped her in the elbow, chucking as he pulled away.

"Stop it." The female snapped, still remaining still.

One more time. James told himself with a smirk, reaching over a finale time to 'boop' her on the forehead.  Just as he pulled away, her large blue eyes snapped open and Jessie sat up suddenly.

"I swear to Arceus, JAMES DONT DO THAT!" She yelled crossing her arms and glaring at her teammate with a glowing, rage-filled expression. In fact, her gaze only softened when James looked down awkwardly, looking utterly crushed. "James..." Jessie shook her head., feeling somewhat bad for snapping at him. Jessie reached over and poked the man in the cheek, smiling and leaning over, pecking him with her lips lightly in the spot she 'booped' him. "Your such a goofball."
