"If you don't mind can I ask you something... something personal?" I put forward my words very careful glancing at his face. Trying my best not to look at the scary scar over his eyes cutting his brow.

"You're gonna be the Luna, Luna. Lunas don't ask, Lunas just order." Ugh boy! Let me be me for once!

Dibby flashed a sweet smile after he took a sip of his drink.

"How did you get this scar?" I asked bluntly without thinking twice how he'll react.

He darted his gaze upon me as he heard it. Did I just got him mad?

Shit! Mother Earth, just swallow me if he decides to kill me!

He's frown made me regret opening my mouth. He is already scary and now the look makes him creepy too.

"Ahh, it's a long story." He chuckled like a maniac and turned his gaze off me. Uh-

What was that? Is he angry or cool?

I waited for him to continue but when he didn't utter nothing for a whole 10 seconds I thought that was it. He didn't wanna share it and neither I possessed anymore over-confidence in me to push it.

"Years ago...," I glanced up as he suddenly started speaking. "I don't remember exactly how many years, it's been quite a long time now." He let out another weird chuckle. His chuckles were creeping me out in a way. "I clearly remember, we had won a new pack and Alpha declared he'll make the announcement of joining the borders and everything about the pack on the next day. It was very evident he'll give it to Aiden-"

"Adrian's brother, right?" I interrupted.

He nodded confirming.

"Yeah, he's a genius! You know, when we were falling in a trap in that war he understood something was fishy before anyone." I was all ears. "Even though no werewolves were supporting him saying nonsense things like- he's too young, useless and a mere human. That time Alpha had faith on him and-"

"Wait. Wait. Wait. What? You said a mere human?" I was surprised was an understatement. Did I heard him right?

Is he lying to me? My concious immediately started telling me to not trust him blindly.

Dibby paused. His face was suddenly pale as fuck. He stared at me like he encountered a ghost in the lonely dark night. He wasn't even blinking. He was freeze like a statue. What the fuck?

"Alpha didn't tell you that?" He questioned. His voice had hint of nervousness in it.

I glance downward as he put down his drink on the table and was suddenly stiff. His body language made me feel weird. Was he really nervous?

"Tell me what?" I questioned instantly. He was making me curious in a bad way.

Was Adrian keeping secrets from me? Was he lying to me about anything? How the fuck did I not think about it? Everyone lies, is he too lying to me? Like everyone did?

What the bloody hell is going on?!

"Uh- Yes luna, Aiden is a human."

I just stared at him, shocked. I didn't have a voice to utter anything neither I had to say anything. I don't know even what to say. I didn't trust him. But why would he lie? Is he trying to make me fall in some kind of trap? Is he trying to manipulate me?

Is Aiden really a human? How is that even fucking possible?! And what makes him think I'll believe his nuisance!

"But he is your werewolf gang leaders' brother?" I asked him finally sitting up straight as I was going crazy with this sudden knowledge.

He chuckled. I stared blankly and confused. Is he stupid?

"What's funny?" I furrow my brows at him.

"It's not a gang Luna, it's a pack."

I rolled my eyes. Ugh! Whatever, stupid!

"Well you're making no sense to me Mr Savage." I said glancing down at his grey hoodie and sit back in my chair.

Stop stressing he's definately just trying to fuck wth my brain. I told myself. I didn't feel like trusting him. There is no way he can be a human. I'm not as stupid as I look, savage stupid dumbo!

"I think it's best if alpha tell you about it."

He would have already if he wanted to. Huh!

I further lean back in my chair, getting more comfortable. Took in a breath trying feel at peace for a while.

How can Aiden be a human? Did his wolf die in some war or something? Or he was born wolfless? Is that even a word?

'A werewolf cannot be killed as it keeps healing itself with the superpowers. But as everything has its weakness, werewolf aren't secluded of it too. Silver. It has a lot of power over a werewolf. Just a little touch of it burns a werewolf. Silver can harm a werewolf worst. A silver knife or bullet can be the reason their death.'

I remembered suddenly what I had read in that book. It just made me more restless and uneasy.

Argh! I will definitely go crazy living with these creatures!

"Alaya will arrive in around 20 minutes," Dibby said interrupting my thoughts. He was glancing at his cool black wristwatch.

"You should now go get ready for the dinner," he suggested and I just glares at him. He looked away and I started blaming my god for my misery.

God! Why me?!

Last thing I wanted now was to meet a new wolf. I was feeling exhaust all of a sudden.

"Is she a human too?" I found myself asking.

He peer up at me and shook his head.

"No. Only Aiden is a human." Ofcourse. I felt a sensation of pressure and tightness across my forehead.

I just wanted to go and hug my mum now! Please god! Save me from these beings!

I regretted saying yes. Knowing the fact she's a werewolf and might want to drink my blood, I was starting to feel restless & anxious. What if she decides to have me as her dinner? Worst thing, even Adrian is also not here to save me.

I felt like crying my heart out as this nightmare doesn't ever end.

*Knock knock*

Glancing up, I saw Dibby standing by the door.

Fuck off! I wanted to scream at his ugly face but I just held on the edge of the mattress tightly.

"Luna, Alaya is here."

I nodded and took slow unwilling steps after him.

I'm such a dumbo, right?

What was the bloody need to agree to meet her when I knew it was gonna be scary as death. She can be like her mom, who knows? Maybe the mom-daughter duo planned to kill me while he is not around?

Adrian come back! I almost shouted it out loud. But everyone will think I'm stupid and he still won't come.

He can bloody stay wherever he is, till the end of his life. I really don't care. It does no difference, does it?

"Luna?" Dibby spoke breaking my trance. "You look nervous?" He asked while we descended the stairs.

No I'm fucking terrified, stupid blind!

"Uh- no. I'm fine," I told that more to myself in a low voice

"You sure?" His question made me halt on my steps.

Am I sure? Do I wanna really do this?

I have done number of meetings and many of it were even with some highly intimidating humans who were important for my business deal however I handled it effortlessly. But this meeting was not with a human. How do I even prepare myself?

Don't be scared of nothing. I chanted in my head multiple times. Adrian's words made me feel a little better.

If he allowed her to meet me alone, he must have faith in her she will not hurt me. He wouldn't ever put me in a situation where there is life death risk. I trusted him that much. As if I had any other choice.

"Yeah I'm sure." I forced a smile and resumed walking downstairs. He walked along with me.

My heartbeats were accelerating and my hands felt sweaty.

I did a small prayer once again.

A petite figure confidently sat on the couch came in my view. Her dirty blonds were curled professionally, fell on her shoulder so smoothly were hiding her face from me. Sitting comfortable, she was focused at something in her phone.

I took slow steps towards her trying my best to not look weird and awkward. As if she sensed my presence she looked up and glanced my side.

I hault in my steps as her eye met mine.

Her ocean blue orbs fell on me and she looked me up to down making me feel damn nervous about myself. Surprisingly, she flashed a smile. I smiled back almost instantly trying to act normal. But for some reason it felt super weird and I had to know, she'll sense the nervousness right on my face.

She stood up and strode towards me like a lioness.

Ah get your facts clear, she's a wolf!

Ugh whatever! I was arguing with my own voice. I have gone insane.

She looked quite tall in her pencil heels. Elegance was oozing out of her as she walked dressed in all satin. Cream midi skirt with a thigh high cut showed off her toned white legs paired with a rose pink cami top tugged in her skirt made her look professionally hot.

Her heels tapped on the marble tiles as she stepped closer to me. I was freezed on my place.

"Hello! I'm Alaya," her voice sweet & excited for some reason, which I didn't expect at all. She placed forward her hand for a hand shake. Uh-

"Yeah," I forced out feeling concious about my own voice. I debated internally if I wanted to touch her. I can't trust her that easily! She might throw me down and suck my blood? Who knows Dibby might even join her and they both eat my flesh together?

She awkwardly waited for me to shake hands with her but I wasn't that stupid and instead pressed my hands together for a namaste.

"Namaste, hello," I greeted while bowing. A winning smile spread on my lips as if I had won the war already.

She tried to mask her surprise awkwardly and joined her hands, "hello!" She repeated.

I looked at her and she looked at me not knowing what to do or say anymore. Thick awkward silence was visibly present in the air to me.

"You look cute," she said trying to break the ice and I gave her a weak smile for saying that bravely. I looked anything but cute.

Crew neck full sleeve oversized black tee tucked in blue jeans made me look more like was about to go down the streets to get groceries.

I really didn't bother to dress up... but looking at her all dolled up made me feel more under dressed now. I should have worn something formal at least.

Awkward silence again was back.

"You look beautiful," I forced out as the silence was creeping me out.

She chuckled and later we got settled on the couch.

Dibby brought us some water. She had some while I denied with a thankyou.

"Dinner is ready, whenever you both are ready just tell me or should I serve it now?" He asked looking between us holding the glass tray in his hands.

"Yes, I'm hungry!" Dibby glanced at me surprised as this was the first time I asked for food. I just wanted to get done with this shit as soon as possible.

"Oh, then okay. Please get it ready soon and call us," She smiled at Dibby speaking sweetly.

I looked at her side again and she was indeed beautiful. Her deep ocean blue orbs were really deep. She had long beautiful lashes and thick brows, I felt jealous of her. Her cheeks were a light shade of pink that gave her a natural pretty blush. Her lips were tinted red any man would just want to devour her. Her bare skin was glowing under the light and telling me how I never take care of my skin.

She turned her gaze on me catching me stare at her and smiled. I smiled back realising she had a warm welcoming smile.

"Honestly, I was really excited to meet you since the moment you're here," She started speaking.

"Oh,"

"But Adrian wasn't sure if you'd be fine meeting me and decided not to push you after the encounter with" she looked down stealing eyes from me. I knew what she was talking about but I had nothing today.

"With mother and jane..." Her voice low, she looked up slowly and met eyes with me. "Uh- I'm sorry, Diya, you had to see that but pls don't think she's not bad." Yeah she's worst. "She's a great Luna she's always looked after everything and made sure all her pack was safe." And didn't care even if she had to kill a poor human for that ofcourse.

She had a proud smile on her face but I wasn't in the right mood. I didn't know what to respond. I was annoyed and feeling anger built inside.

"I'm glad youre here to have dinner with the girl your brother kidnapped. Make the most of it." Sarcasm reeking off my voice and a the fakest smile of all times on my lips

She was taken a back hearing me.

"I understand, it's all unfair for you but he didn't have any other option. Your live wa-"

"Is ruined. My life is over! I'm well aware of the fact." My own words were crushing me as the truth was so bitter.

Her mouth was hung open.

"No." She shook her head. " Try to understand him you're his mate. Our next Luna. You belong here." She was trying to make me believe her her sweet words. Liar, you are too!

I couldn't hold my chuckles. How stupid can this beings be! Like seriously?

"I'm a normal human for god's sake! I don't outgrow into different wild creature what part of that do you not understand it you just don't fucking wanna understand?" I screamed almost.

Her eyes turned golden suddenly.
