She darted her gaze on me, nervousness and fear were evident in her innocent orbs. She was pleading through her eyes but denying Luna Merlin wouldn't be right and polite. Her eyes were saying what her lips couldn't say. She didn't want to be left with her was more than evident on her face.

'Mother doesn't like her, we know that very well.'

Zedd growled indicating he didn't like what mother said.

'She cannot harm her. It's just she doesn't wanna accept the fact she's our mate. For her all humans are cheat, dishonest & disloyal.' I said, 'which is correct on her part.'

'I know, right? She's always taught, never trust them, eventually they will cheat. I know she's not wrong.'

As I focused my gaze on her I knew what I had to do. Her flesh gleamed under the morning sunlight like the varnished cherry wood.

I nodded my head to assure her. I won't leave you.

She shifted her gaze on mother and Jane.

"Sorry mother but not right now," I started. "I had planned something and it can not be postponed."

I lied.

Mother turned her gaze on me and I looked towards her. Clearly she wasn't pleased with what I just said. I don't care.

"Not even a second he wants to leave your side." Jane chime in. "What magic have you used on our Alpha?" She smiled a very fake smile.

Jane was mother's best friend and also her right hand in everything. Someday it is hard to believe Harry is her daughter. Genetically she has most of her mother's features and the exact same eyes. But mentally she's nothing like her mother. She's hardworking, intelligent and mostly importantly pure at heart.

My gaze turned down on beautiful white roses in her hands.

"Well, why are you roaming with roses in your hands?" I asked.

"Oh! I totally forgot." She said and walked towards Diya and she instantly stepped back.

"Stay away from me!" She shouted.

Jane darted a surprised gaze at me and again looked at her.

I didn't miss the smirk on mother's lips.

'Seriously, Mother?!' I told her in the mind link.

Jane took a step towards her with a smirk. I know that look. Fuck!

In a blink of eye I stood beside Diya holding her wrist so that she wouldn't run. I casted a glance on her she was just looking Jane. Unknowingly she holds my arm with her other arm, as if her life depended on it. She was digging her nails as if I'll leave if she let go.

'She held on us! She's scared and SHE HELD ON US!'

Zedd was extremely happy. Due to the fiction of her skin I was getting tingles and feeling electricity run through my veins.

Jane stopped in her track instantly, also her face turned into a frown. Guilt. As if she came back to her sense. It filled me with rage.

"Wait here." I said leaving her hold reluctantly as her eyes were soft and scared. As if she realised something she hurried left my arm and took a step back.

'We'll come back to this behaviour of yours after I deal with this dumb piece of flesh.' Zedd spoke in my head as if Diya could listen to him.

I took a step infront and Jane gulped.

"Did you thought I would just brainlessly watch the show hnn?"

I spoke in terrible calm voice taking one more step forward. I was more than angry.

"Adrian-" Mother tried to speak in between but I showed her a hand keep shut.

"What were you thinking, Mrs. Binati?" My voice calm. "Are you not afraid of me?"

"Adrian-" She spoke and and it broke my calm.

"Shut the fuck up! Stop speaking in the middle!"

I yelled at her with my eyes turned golden now. I know very well it was her behind Jane.

Jane and Diya flinched at my loud voice.

"Please forgive me! I got swept away by the smell of her blood." Jane joined her hands and her eyes filled with similar fear like she cause my mate.

Oh now you remembered what the consequences could be.

"You know what can this result you into?" I smirked. "If you weren't someone who was loyal for the throne. I would have ripped you skin off and put you in silver. You would cry in pain, shout and scream to get out, you would yearn to die. But you won't die. Your powers will die then your wolf would die and then you would be a living-"

Mother came stood in the middle. "You would do that for this bloody useless girl!"

I closed my eyes and took a breath to remind myself she was the one gave birth to me and the Luna of our pack.

Zedd was on the edge.

"Don't infuriate me, Luna Merlin." Her name came out with so much disgust. "You believe it or not she's my mate and you behave infront of her if you don't wanna encounter my worst side." My eyes filled with anger and voice with rage.

My heart was beating fast as I was extremely angry and I wanted to break Jane's neck.

"You will fight me?" Her voice venomous. "For her, you will hurt me?"

I had no reply. She was my mother and had taught me everything, also to stood by my mate. If I'm standing today why is she behaving like a bitch.

"You better keep you claws off her," I gritted my teeth. "Or else wait for the consequences."

Diya sat infront of me silently eating her breakfast. She has a fork in her hand and a knife in other. She cuts a very small piece of omlet with her knife and digging the fork inside of it, she then brings it to her lips. I was glad she was eating.

The thing that was disturbing me was she didn't look at me even once. Not even a glance she spared on me after they both left the room. She just silently sat on her seat me after I told her to eat. Is this her way to ignore me?

'We kidnapped her. Obviously she wouldn't be letting you in her pants, dumbass.'

Argh! He can not call me that!

'One more time you call me that and I won't shift for whole 3 days.'

'Oh! I'm afraid of your threat.' He laughed. 'But we really need to look for what mother is doing. She can be an actual threat to our mate.'

'Yeah. Dibby is already guarding the room but I'll ask Crayon to put three more reliable guards.'

Zedd agreed with me and instantly I informed Crayon to search for the best warrior till evening.

I turned my gaze on her and she was deep in thoughts. She had her gaze fixed on the window.

She still is thinking to run. I can't let her out of the room if she's thinking to run off. She's too smart and I don't intend to let her off my grips. No. I also don't know how much she know about us.

She slowly shifted her gaze on me and I held her gaze. Those brown orbs of her held a sad emotions in them. She stayed silent. Just started in my eyes. Her silence was killing me.

"Why?" She asked, her voice deadly calm.

"Why, what?" I didn't understand what she meant.

"You saved me."

I nodded. She thinks a lot.

"Why?" She questioned once again.

"You know the answer."

She sighed, shook her head.

"I'm not... Your mate." She stated. "They were right, listen to them. Why won't you understand? Or you just don't want to understand?"

My t-shirt looked so sexy on her but it being huge for her small frame was slowly sliding off her left shoulder and she let it be like that. Maybe she didn't realise.

I could see her shoulder blade and for some unknown reasons I found it hot. Too hot.

'Fuck, I want to leave lots of marks on her long neck. Red and purple bite marks on her skin would make her look more sexy.'

Zedd was going out of control. I shifted my gaze off her to control my senses cause if we both lose control then it'll be a huge problem.

I took in a breath and stood up. It was about time for the court. And I need distance.

"The door near the bed is bathroom and inside there is the closet too." I informed directing my finger. "Dibby will bring you lunch. I'll join you for the dinner." She instantly stood up understanding my words.

"No I don't wanna be locked in here. I want to go home!" I broke the gaze and turning toward the door I walked towards it.

She ran behind me but I closed the door before she could reach.

"Open the door!" Her muffled shouts were heard as she banged on the door.

"I wish I could, Diya." I told her looking at the closed door between us. With a heavy heart I locked the door and walked towards the court.

'Dibby make sure she is safe and doesn't harm herself while trying anything.'

'Stay assured, Alpha. I'll take care of our Luna.'

'You better. Even a scratch on her skin I found, consider yourself dead.'

'That won't happen.' I cut the mind link and with a bit of relief walked towards my duty.

The day went really hectic and I was exhausted by now. I kept check on her the whole day. Dibby informed me she was banging the door till twenty two minutes and shouting to open the door. He said he heard her cries. When he bought her lunch she didn't eat. And when he insisted she threw the dishes on floor and told him to not bother her.

I told him to let her be after the third attempt of bringing her food and she throwing it. She was surely stubborn.

She was crying most of the day without eating anything. In the evening she went to shower and stayed in for whole 2 hours. Dibby was concerned and stayed outside the door to run for help if he heard anything fishy. But luckily she came out safe and went to sleep while crying again.

I walked through the corridor with Crayon on my side.

"Alpha, everyone is talking about Luna." He said reluctantly.

I stopped and he paused with me.

"What are they talking?" I was curious.

"It's good and bad both."

Oh.

"Then it's fine. Anything else?" I resumed walking.

"One of our wolf informed that after drugs marketing and extortion now Luber has his claws into kidnapping and selling teenage human girls." He sighed.

"Fucking bastard."

"Alpha I had one more thing."

"Yes?"

"The wolf who informed was... Alaya."

"What?!" I turned towards him.

He nodded, concerned.

"She told me to not bring her name up."

"Ofcourse." I sighed. "I'll talk to her personally. Tell her to meet me tomorrow at 11 A.M."

We reached my room and I saw two built she-wolves guarding the door. Kerry and Nate.

"She'll soon accept us, Alpha." Crayon said with a soft smile.

I smiled at his comment. "Ofcourse."

"Will you join us at the dinning or you want me to bring you food in the room?"

"I'll eat with her, you don't have to bring yourself. Ask anyone to deliver."

"I'll get it," he said. "I won't miss the chance to meet our Luna."

"Fine." I smiled.

He went off and I told the girls to also rest as I was now here.

Opening the door I slowly walked inside. My gaze fell on her sleeping frame. She was sleeping on her stomach holding a pillows close to her chest.

'Home. She is our home. Just a sight of her vanished all the tiredness and stress.'

'When will she accept us?' I sighed.

Without disturbing her I went to shower. After a soothing hot shower I got myself dressed into black track and maroon plain t-shirt. My hair were still damp so I grabbed a towel and while drying them walked outside.

My looked at the bed and it was empty. I looked around the room and she was no were in my sight.

Shit! Where is Diya?!
