They say what's written in one's destiny no matter what, certainly, will happen. Years ago, while wandering in dad's library when my sight fell on an odd book if then anyone would have told me what was written on its pages is all true, no doubt I would have considered them mentally retarded and would have laughed at them.

It was a huge A4 size book with, a thick white cover binding with the heading 'Secret World' written in blood red colour that too in attractive cursive handwriting. The name was enough to build curiosity inside me and I didn't realise it when I opened it and started reading.

"Devine moon never lets one stay lonely. Being mated with another soul through the heart is like being blessed. Every werewolf is blessed with a sole mate. A mate, who will have immense affection for you, cherish, and love you wholeheartedly."

The words were written in similar cursive writing. The fact it was a handwritten book made me more curious and I kept reading further. I remember I couldn't believe myself when I finished reading that thick book in just 5 days. The whole book was on werewolves. Their unbelievable superpowers, unbreakable pack unity, in short, every tiny detail about werewolves.

While reading that book not once occurred to me I would come face-to-face with one. This being staring into my eyes with these intense emotions would be present on earth.

One thing now I was clear was, mistakenly, he was considering me as his mate. Which of course and obviously I was not. I just have to act smartly and by fooling him I have to run off. I'm a human and in that book, there was nowhere written about a human being mates with a werewolf.

There wasn't even written they can't be... Ugh, Shut up!

My head was hurting as if it would blast into two pieces.

My inside did a flip as a sinister smile slowly crept up on his lips and rested his back on his chair as if a king of someplace. Huh.

Don't be scared. I chanted to myself. He is just a wolf and you're a human. Smarter, stronger and more intelligent. I have to make him fail in his own game. I can do it!

"Now that you know everything," his voice hoarse. "I don't need to bother to put a mask on."

"Where am I?" I demanded.

"At your pack-house." He smiled.

"Hrph! No. Not mine. I don't belong here. I'm a human!" I spat.

He's a mad wolf. He's smiling weirdly.

"You're mated with me, the Alpha," he spoke proudly. "Which automatically makes you the Luna. So technically you do belong here." He nodded with an infuriating smile.

"Bhaad mein jaao." I whispered to myself. (Do hell with you)

He stood up off his chair as if he heard me and I was instantly uneasy cause I was sure he would come near now.

"English please!" He said.

I rolled my eyes and just smirked.

"And about the fact, you're a human," ignoring he walked toward me and continued, "Don't worry, it doesn't matter to me." He shook his head smilingly showing as if I was worrying.

He turned his gaze to my bare legs. Pervert.

"I'm not worrying!" I exclaimed putting my foot on the floor. "Why would I ever-" I gasped while clutching onto the hard spongy edge of the chair as he was suddenly in front of my eyes leaning on me with his hands on the sides, caging me.

"You are not allowed to do this!" I yelled and turned my head on left, my eyes on the marble floor.

"Why?" He breathed near my ear and my inside dropped. "Do I affect you, Diya?"

Turning, I glare at him. His eyes smiling at me. I can't let him win.

"Yes, you make me so bloody angry."

"Your little nose turns red when you're angry." He touches his nose with mine while blowing a kiss. I shut my eyes with disgust. Ew.

Gritting my teeth, I opened my eyes and looked at his face I felt like ripping him into pieces that much angry I was. Argh!

"Go away," I snap. "I can't breathe."

"I didn't kidnap you to go away from you." He grinned.

I gulped as a wave of realisation passed through me of what was he capable of doing.

His expression visibly turned soft and to my surprise, he sat down on his knees placing his palms on my bare knees. My skin tingled as he touched me.

I looked at his hands, silently hinting to him to take them off but he being the pervert did not.

"I don't intend to hurt or scare you in any way. I swear, Diya". I could read in his eyes, his words held real emotions which were touching me, "I just want my mate..." He looked into my eyes filled with intensity.

I just stared back not knowing what my eyes were giving away to him.

"I don't know how much you know about this," He was drawing circles very slowly and softly with his thumb on the inside of my thighs and it was making my inside affect a lot. I was on the edge to react.

"But trust me when I say I need you... and I never lied a single word. I just, kept my reality because I didn't want you to scare away from me... Please."

He was begging me. The position in which he brought himself was just for me? To have me with him? He was kneeling, submitting to me. Why?

Does he... really have started feeling for me?

"But I'm not a werewolf," I said softly.

"It doesn't matter."

He traced his pointing finger and tingles started again. Bloody god, stop him!

"My life is not here. I'm not... your mate. You're mistaken." He kept looking into my eyes and his fingers kept working back and forth at a very slow pace. "Your actual mate, who must also be a wolf must be waiting for you to be found. You should search for her and not waste your time on me."

And let me fucking go back!

"But you also feel it too, the connection, the bond. The attraction is not hidden." He said. "When I touch you, you react instantly causing you to feel it. The first day when you saw me you liked me immediately an-"

"Wait what?! I li- ouch!" I cried as he pinched my left thigh.

"I don't cut you when you speak so you also let me complete." He said sternly.

"Get your bloody hands off me, now!" I commanded. "You always end up hurting me!"

"You done overreacting?" He said. "Do you even have any slightest idea how much you hurt me?"

"I overreact?" I narrowed my eyes. Throwing his hands off me I stood up and walked away towards the only open window. "I don't wanna talk with you."

I gasp as he appeared out of nowhere right in front of my eye resulting in me stumbling and tilting backwards. "Aaaa!" I yelled and shut my eyes tight while waiting to fall on my butt for the second time in a single day.

Magically, I was stopped in the middle as a muscular arm grabbed my waist in a tight hold. I opened my eyes gradually and saw his dark lips. For a second I wished to kiss him but this is all a facade. He doesn't love me. He'll kill me eventually.

I turned my gaze and holding his shoulders stood straight on my foot. When I tried to pull away he didn't let go of me. His hand on my waist held me in place. He was too close for my senses to betray my brain. No.

I can feel his eyes on me and I tried pushing myself backwards but he just pulled me close.

Looking at him I glared into his eyes.

"Leave me!"

"Never."

Placing both his hands behind my back he pulled me closer.

"Let me go!" I whined. And started struggling to get off as his smell was getting inside my nostrils, and his warm skin in contact with mine was making me go mad.

"By struggling Diya, you're just rubbing yourself on me..." He said, his breath fanning my neck.

I stopped abruptly as his words registered to me. I had understood he was too strong for me to tackle down.

"Argh! Just get off me!"

He licked my neck and I stood frozen shutting my eyes. Is he going to bite me?

"I won't bite you," he breathed near my earlobe. "Not without your consent."

He pecked on the skin he licked and pulled away from me. Surprisingly, I missed the warmth of his body.

I folded my arms on my chest looking down as he looked at me. The fact there was attraction wasn't wrong. Can't deny I was highly attracted towards him but he doesn't need to know that.

*Door knocks*

I shifted my gaze at the closed doors.

"My mother wants to meet you," he said. "Would you want to meet her?"

I looked at him and I don't know what expressions he read on my face, he said,

"Never mind I will refuse her."

"I want to meet her," I said. I would ask for her help and she will help me out, after all, mothers are mothers. Right?

"Just don't forget to be respectful towards her. She's a Luna, a powerful werewolf and my mother."

I nodded. Luna and a powerful werewolf can only get me out of this place. Perfecto!

He was in front of the door in a blink of an eye and after opening the lock, the doors opened silently.

"Good morning, Luna Merlin." He greeted in a flat tone.

Do they call their moms by their names?

"Good morning, dear." I heard a soft honey-laced voice. She was standing outside.

"Come in." He invited.

I heard a tap of heels on the marble floor. In my sight maroon wedges, properly manicured toenails painted maroon feet stepped inside the room. Oh.

I lifted my gaze upwards while taking everything in. The black flared midi skirt, and red velvet blouse with balloon sleeves. Her lips painted dark red were complimenting her extremely white skin. And so healthy & soft. No wrinkles like a mother have. She didn't look like his mother at all. She was looking a lot younger. More like an elder sister. As my eyes meet hers, I was immediately taken aback due to the amount of power they held. They were cold.

She doesn't like me?

Surprisingly, her lips tilted into a small smile after a moment. It looked so fake. My lips curved into a stiff smile in return. Maybe she just looks dangerous?

I found one other lady, of similar age, walking behind her holding a bouquet of white roses. She was dressed formally. She didn't bother to look at me. Wow. They don't like me.

"Good morning, Alpha!" She said bowing her head to which Adrian just nodded.

The way both women walked towards me, everything shouted harmfully. The lady with his mother slowly checked me out head to toe and I felt highly embarrassed. I was a mess.

I saw Adrian come and stood beside me and she dropped her gaze.

"So you are the girl who stole peace from him and left him sleepless at night."

She smiled, her voice thick, vicious it felt. It didn't hold any hospitality for me.

I just stayed glued to my ground as I had no idea what to say or do. I was well aware of the fact she was a werewolf and she can grow into a scary wolf anytime to eat my flesh if in any case, I infuriated her. I wasn't even her mate for her to think twice before killing me.

My senses are telling me she clearly doesn't like me. At all.

"Isn't it the obvious reaction?" He said. "I guess you forgot the fact she's my mate, Luna Merlin."

She just hummed and nodded with a smile.

He turned his gaze to the lady and said in a dangerous tone, "don't you have enough manners Jane to even greet the Alpha's mate?"

"Uh- I'm sorry to offend you Alpha but I was awestruck by her natural Asian beauty that I never realised." She turned her unkind gaze on me once again.

"Good morning. I'm really happy that Alpha finally found you, however, I'm sad to know that you're just a human." She smirked. "But we all are here to take care of you. You don't need to worry about your safety."

Jane said and I didn't fail to notice him clenching his jaw.

My safety... I want to go home, please god!

"Dear Adrian, I want to talk to Diya alone."

Luna Merlin said suddenly and I instantly turned my gaze to Adrian. His soft eyes fixed on my gaze.

No, don't leave! Please just don't! I bit the inside of my cheeks in nervousness.

He nodded his head slightly and I was filled with dismay. Does he want to leave?

I turned my gaze at his mother and she was purely radiating a kind of evil and scary vibes from her.

New characters in the book. How did you like them?

How are you? Are you doing fine??

Well, I'm not doing fine, my state was hit with a bad bad cyclone eight days ago and we still have the power cut. The network also keeps on fluctuating very much as a lot of network towers have fallen. No electricity no network. The reason why I'm not being able to reply properly and on time these days. Just pray for me, everything gets as it was soon!
