Fei and Ben led the others down to the basement and they stopped in front of an orange glowing ball of light that lit up the entire floor.

"Beautiful, isn't it" Fei said said as the others followed her to the Kugelblitz.

Anna and Delaney kept their distance from the Kugelblitz, afraid that they'd get pulled into it like Marcus had been.

"Oh, wow" Diego's voice echoed quietly as he stared at the Kugelblitz in amazement.

Lila stopped in front of the Kugelblitz, her eyes studying it. "That's what took Stanley" Lila stated, pointing her finger at the light in front of her.

Lila's eyes widened the second the words left her mouth and her eyes met with Five's, realising the mistake she had made.

"What?" Inanna repeated what Lila had said in her head, knowing that she had heard her correctly. Lila had lied and Five hadn't said anything, knowing that their argument had begun with lies. "Stanley's dead?" Inanna asked.

Lila nodded as Inanna looked between her and Five. "Listen, Inanna" Lila started "You were pretty fucked up when we got here, slightly less now, I didn't want you to go-".

"Stop talking" Inanna held her hand up at Lila and turned her gaze back to the Kugelblitz. Lila looked over her shoulder to Diego as she bit her lip, realising the mistake she had made, even if she believed she was doing the right thing at first.

"Inan" Five took a step towards her, preparing to be shut down the second he spoke her name, but the only response he was given was Inanna walking around the Kugelblitz to put distance between herself and him. "Inanna, can we-".

"No, you can't" Anna cut Five off, shaking her head as she walked closer to the Kugelblitz with Delaney behind her. They didn't have time for whatever Five wanted to say and Anna didn't want to hear it either.

Five averted his gaze from Inanna, getting back to the task at hand — the Kugelblitz — which was more important in that moment. He needed to be alive if he planned on fixing things.

"This things gonna take the whole damn universe" Five stated. "What is it made of?" Five asked.

"Micro black holes collapsing at increasingly short intervals" Sloane answered.

"Why aren't we getting sucked inside?" Five asked.

"Honestly, we don't know" Sloane said looking from Five to the Kugelblitz in front of her. "You shouldn't exist here, and neither should this".

"An impossibility for an impossibility" Five clicked his tongue. "The universe is a sucker for balance".

"Grace had been tracking the waves. Next one is due in three hours" Fei told them, which gave them a count down of three hours to get rid of the Kugelblitz before they lost someone else.

"All right, so what do we do?" Diego asked.

"We trap it" Sloane responded.

"Dyson sphere?" Five asked untucking his hands from his pockets.

"Yeah" Sloane nodded.

Five took a step towards Sloane as he crossed his arms over his chest. "Confinement factor?" Five asked.

"0.98 at peak energy flux" Sloane responded with a smile.

"Tensile strength?" Five asked.

"UTS ceiling of 10,000 gigapascals" Sloane said as Luther looked over at Inanna and mouthed 'What are they talking about?'.

Inanna shrugged in response as each number had gone in one ear and straight out of the other, leaving her confused with the math.

"Should I be finding this hot?" Lila asked glancing to Diego.

"No!" Diego and Luther responded.

"What do you think, Five?" Allison asked from across the basement where she was leaned against one of the walls.

"It could work" Five choose to not ask Inanna for her opinion, even if she didn't understand most of what Sloane and Five were talking about, she had listened to Five ramble on about enough things in her life to know when something scientific sounded a little off — and her lack of input gave Five the impression that Inanna believed it would work. "Or we could all die horribly".

"It'll work" Inanna stepped around the Kugelblitz, and Sloane followed her with her eyes.

"I'm sorry, I didn't realise you were a genius all of a sudden" Ben laced his hands in front of himself and Inanna stopped in front of him.

"Who do you need?" Inanna asked, averting her gaze from Ben to Sloane as she spoke, choosing to ignore Ben's remark.

"For this to work, we need Sloane, Anna, Lila, Christopher, and-"

"Viktor" Allison finished Fei's sentence. "Of course" Allison muttered as she began walking out of the basement.

"I thought we didn't need me anymore?" Anna spoke up.

"No, Ben thought we wouldn't need you because he thinks your powers are only useful for setting people and inanimate things on fire" Sloane glared at Ben, regretting that she ever let Ben talk them into removing Anna from the plan to begin with "But you and I know that there is much more to it" Sloane spoke softly, nodding her head as Anna walked over to her. "How we practiced with the water, okay? You have to be gentle" Sloane reminded her sister.

Anna nodded as Ben stepped passed her to head up to his room to fetch his jacket. "But I can't do it with Inanna here" Anna glanced to Inanna. "That itch-".

"Paradox psychosis" Luther raised his hand by his face, proudly interrupting Anna.

"Yes" Anna smiled sarcastically at him. "Paradox psychosis" Anna repeated. "I can barely think straight with Inanna around, one wrong move and I could cause the end of the universe".

Sloane nodded, understanding where her sister was coming from and she turned her attention to Inanna. Inanna shrugged and she uncrossed her arms, she didn't want to be stuck in the dark basement unless she was actually needed. "I needed an excuse to leave this basement" Inanna's eyes briefly met with Five's as she slipped passed Anna to leave. "It's too dark anyways" Inanna mumbled.

Five didn't follow Inanna, hoping that if the plan worked he could try to smooth things over with his wife afterwards and so instead Delaney followed after Inanna, muttering how much of an idiot Five was — for not talking with Inanna first— underneath her breath as she walked up the steps and out of the basement.

Inanna didn't need Five or Delaney to follow her and in all honestly she wouldn't have minded the time alone to finally seek out the quiet she needed, but she didn't turn Delaney away when she joined her on the academy roof.

"It's strangely beautiful" Delaney rubbed her hands on her arms, trying to warm herself up as she stared out across the city with Inanna, both of them admiring the destruction that the Kugelblitz had caused in a matter of days. "I used to live over there" Delaney pointed towards a tall building which stood high above the buildings around it, half destroyed with fire and smoke bellowing from the windows.

"I used to live somewhere down there" Inanna pointed in the opposite direction and down the long street of buildings.

Delaney furrowed her brows. "You lived close to the academy?" Delaney asked.

Inanna nodded. "And I hated the Umbrella's" Inanna shook her head and dropped her gaze as Delaney chuckled quietly, her laughter pulling a small smile from Inanna.

"Oh, really?" Delaney asked, the surprise strong in her voice. "So how is it you ended up with them? Did they kidnap you?".

"In a way, I suppose so" Inanna leaned on the bricks, tilting her head to look at Delaney as she copied her.

"Would you change it? Your life" Delaney said, noticing the hint of confusion in Inanna's eyes. "If you could, would you?" Delaney asked.

Inanna shrugged. "I'd change aspects, but not the whole thing" Inanna mumbled. If Inanna could, she'd have both her family and Five, but she knew that the world saw it as a cruel joke to only allow her one.

"And your new powers? Would you keep them?" Delaney asked, she didn't want to pry too deep, especially after the explosive argument which had almost led to the academy being burnt to the ground.

Inanna dropped her hand, resting it on the brick and as her eyes changed colour, an orange flame appeared in the palm of Inanna's hand.

"It doesn't have to be something fearful" Delaney hovered her hand over Inanna's letting the fire warm her cold skin. "You could set the whole world on fire and never burn a single thing..." Inanna turned to Delaney and the ball of fire grew in size, giving off more heat which Delaney was thankful for.

"The only thing I'm afraid of is the dark" Inanna said. Delaney believed that Inanna was afraid of more than the dark, but she didn't question it.

"Oddly, Anna's fear is freezing to death..." Delaney said as Inanna closed her left hand over her right, dimming the flame that was trapped in her palm.

"Fire creates light and warmth, the two things needed to combat your fear and Anna's" Delaney's words became quiet, disappearing into the air as Inanna reopened her hand and a fire butterfly fluttered up between them.

The butterfly flew around Delaney's head and Delaney turned on her heel to follow it, her amazed smile never leaving her lips as she turned back to Inanna and the butterfly was reabsorbed into her skin.

"You've gotten the hang of that quickly" Delaney shoved Inanna's shoulder lightly, impressed. "Don't tell Anna, it took her a whole two days to muster up anything bigger than a mosquito". Inanna took the praise, knowing that it wasn't her intention to make a butterfly but rather a firefly.

"You know" Inanna mumbled as she turned back to the wall, looking down at a tree which burned into ash slowly. "I'm not her" Inanna glanced to Delaney as she copied her stance again. "You don't need to run after me or bring me coffee".

"I know you're not her" Delaney responded. "You look like the version of her that I have only seen in photographs, you act a lot like her which is surprising seeing as you grew up differently and you sound the same which throws my head into a spin, and I assure you it does the same to the others-" Delaney tapped her finger on the bricks "But I know you aren't my Annie".

"Then why are you so nice to me?" Inanna asked, turning her head towards Delaney. "I mean, I tried to kill your girlfriend, shouldn't that warrant like a little bit of rudeness?" Inanna asked.

Delaney shrugged. "The real question here is, why are you so nice to me?" Delaney asked. "From what I've heard, if you wanted to, you could have killed me the second I walked out here".

Inanna shook her head, dropping her gaze back to the road. "I'm not like that. I mean, I'm not winning any award for best human, and I know that a part of me feels no remorse for the lives I have taken over the years, but I- I don't hurt people who don't deserve it".

"And Five?" Delaney noticed how Inanna's shoulders tensed, unsure of what Delaney was asking. "Luther talks a lot. I heard that you and Five didn't get off to a great start when you first met him".

Inanna shoulders relaxed and she shook her head. She should have known that Luther would have spilled just about everything to the Sparrows. "He was a pain in my ass" Inanna responded, Delaney raised her brow. "Five was more irritating when he was younger, he was always blinking around and appearing next to me when I tried to escape him-" Delaney chuckled and Inanna shot her a glare as she hide her smile behind her hand, pretending to itch her cheek "- even you would have stabbed him with a fork".

"Out of fear maybe" Delaney leaned back, curling her fingers over the edge of the bricks.

Back down in the basement as the hours passed Anna circled around the Kugelblitz with Sloane, Lila, Viktor and Christopher, preparing to trap the Kugelblitz by using its own gravity against it.

"Okay, how do we start?" Viktor asked, after being ran through the plan by Sloane.

"Have you ever moved a nest of bees?" Sloane asked, her question not only directed at Viktor.

"Yes" Anna nodded, recalling how she had trained with Sloane after she had been gifted with her powers.

"No, because that's weird" Lila responded, furrowing her brows at Anna's reply.

"You can't just pick it up. You have to keep the nest calm while you build a box around it and then you trap it" Sloane said.

Sloane nodded at Christopher, signalling that she was ready. Sloane extended her hands out to her sides and the palms of her hands glowed a pale shade of blue as she floated up into the air and above the Kugelblitz.

"One of those black holes inside is vibrating at a different rate" Fei said.

Viktor nodded. "I can feel them" He said looking to Fei next to him.

"Good. Whatever happens, don't let them speed up or change, or everything will blow" Fei said.

Viktor nodded with Fei's words. "Don't shake the bees. Got it".

Viktor powered up, turning blue as his powers glowed from his chest. A forcefield formed around the Kugelblitz trapping it in place.

"Lila, when you're ready, do exactly like Viktor" Fei instructed.

Lila didn't waste a second, copying Viktor's powers and his movements, creating a second forcefield over the top of Viktor's.

"Anna" Anna turned to Fei as she spoke her name. "You have to be incredibly careful".

Anna nodded as her eyes turned orange. "No pressure" Anna muttered under her breath as she extended her hands out to her sides, copying Sloane's stance as they caught fire.

"Careful, Anna" Sloane watched Anna's movements, nodding her head as Anna covered the Kugelblitz with a force field of fire.

"I've got it" Anna muttered, pushing aside her worried thoughts about Delaney who she had left alone with Inanna.

Anna followed Sloane's lead and began pushing against the forcefields, keeping the fire low as the next Kugel wave creeped closer.

"You didn't tell me you were building a prison for God" Grace spoke as she walked down the stairs of the basement with a flame thrower in her hand.

"Mom?" Diego called, turning his attention away from the Kugelblitz.

"You have no right to do that" Grace said.

"We're a little busy here, Grace" Luther said as Diego walked towards her, stopping after a few steps.

"The day of vengeance was in my heart...".

"What are you talking about?" Diego asked as Luther joined him, just as confused as Diego.

"And my year of redemption hath come" Grace finished her sentence as she lifted the flame thrower up, pointing it at Diego and Luther.

Diego dove out of the flames, shouting "Shit" as he hid behind a sack of cases, laying flat on the floor.

"The day of vengeance was in my heart, and my year of redemption hath come" Grace's voice was robotic and broken as she repeated her words.

Anna began pulling back her fire, watching as Fei and Allison hide behind a wall to avoid the flames that shot out of the flame thrower.

"No!" Sloane shouted. "You'll throw us off. You can't pull back, Anna, you can't" Sloane shook her head.

"But-" Anna's eyes darted between the Kugelblitz and the others who were struggling to hide from Grace.

Sloane shook her head, pleading with Anna to stay with her. Anna dropped her gaze from Sloane and her eyes found Five, who was trying to peer around the wall to see where Grace was.

"Five!" Anna called to him.

Five turned to Anna, his back pressed against the wall. "You need to get her out of here" Anna shouted, afraid that she'd loose Fei or Ben to Grace while she continued to shrink the Kugelblitz with the others.

Five's eyes were wide as he stared at Anna "What do you think I'm trying to do?" Five shouted back.

"Just do it" Anna, turned her attention back to the Kugelblitz and Five muttered "Nature vervus nurture" under his breath before blinking behind Grace.

Five blinked Grace into the entrance of the academy, grabbing her jaw and the back of her head. Five mumbled "Nothing personal" before snapping Grace's neck, which spun her robotic head around to him as her wires snapped and broke.

Five caught Grace as she slowly fell forwards, collapsing into his arms while he lowered her onto the stairs. Grace sung robotically and quietly, using the last of her power, until she became lifeless on the floor of the academy.

Silently, Five blinked around the academy, checking every room he believed Inanna could have been hiding in with Delaney, knowing that he wouldn't be able to focus on the Kugelblitz until he knew that Grace hadn't hurt Inanna.

The roof was the last place Five ran up to and with every door he had opened he had become increasingly more worried, but when he opened the door that led out to the roof and heard Delaney laugh at the comment Inanna had made about Luther, Five felt his heart rate settle almost instantly.

Delaney noticed Five first and elbowed Inanna pulling her attention away from the small fire Inanna had created to keep them both warm so Delaney didn't have to grab herself a jacket.

"Everything okay?" Inanna asked.

Five nodded, his hand still holding the door handle. "Yeah" Five nodded. "Yeah. Grace just tried to barbecue us all, but we're good" Inanna nodded, wishing that she had been down in the basement to help in anyway she could have "I was just checking you two were okay".

"Other than a little frozen, we're okay" Delaney smiled at Five as he nodded.

"Won't be long now, I hope" Five tucked his free hand into his pockets. "I'll come back up as soon as they're finished".

Inanna nodded, crossing her arms over her chest, watching as Five took a step back and began closing the door again.

"Five" Inanna called his name and Five stopped instantly, letting his eyes find her glowing ones. "Be careful" Inanna said, her voice almost a whisper as it carried in the wind to his ears

"Am I not always?" Five asked. Inanna shook her head 'no' and a faint smirk tugged on his lips as he dropped his gaze momentarily before finding hers again. "We will".

Five blinked back into the basement once he had shut the door to the roof, reappearing behind Sloane once the Kugelblitz was trapped inside Christopher.

"Did it work?" Five asked peering over Sloane's shoulder.

"Next Kugelwave in three, two-" Five took a step back and Luther took Sloane's hand in his as she counted down. "-one".

Anna froze as she held in her breath, preparing to be hit and torn apart by the next wave, but all that was heard in the silence that clung in the basement was a quiet fart that came from Christopher.

It was done.

Like he had promised Five went back up to the roof as soon as the Kugelblitz was locked away, bringing Inanna and Delaney back inside with him while the others gathered just about every bottle of champagne out of the cupboard to celebrate them saving the world.

"You're freezing" Anna mumbled into Delaney's hair as she hugged her. "Trying to kill my girlfriend?" Anna's question was directed at Inanna who sat on the couch across from them.

Inanna didn't respond, watching as Anna's hands subtly glowed and she rubbed them up and down Delaney's arms to warm her up.

Five took two empty glasses from Luther, ignoring the comment he made about Inanna's blood stained shirt as he turned to her, slipping passed Fei and Lila.

Five extended one of the glasses to Inanna as she looked up at him and Inanna took it without a word.

"Diego will have to change your nickname to Embers" Five said making Inanna roll her eyes.

"Red is bad enough" Inanna responded as Five sat down next to her.

"What do you propose then?" Five asked, Five brushed his shoulder against hers, turning his body towards hers.

"You know there is only one short form of my name that I accept" Inanna said.

Five nodded, tucking Inanna's hair behind her ear. "Well he's not calling you Inan anytime soon. He can stick with Red".

Inanna leaned into Five, turning her gaze back to the others as Ben started pouring out the champagne. "Are you jealous of your brothers possibly calling me Inan?" Inanna asked.

Five scoffed, placing his hand on Inanna's knee which was farthest from him. "When I had you all to myself for years, can you blame me for being a tad jealous?" Five asked.

"Of those idiots?" Inanna subtly pointed at Luther and Diego who were terribly dancing to the music that Fei had turned on. Inanna didn't look to Viktor who stood against the wall next to her.

Five turned his head, pressing his nose against Inanna's cheek to hide his smile as it grew on his lips. "Maybe I spoke to soon" Five mumbled.

Inanna nodded, placing her hand over Five's, watching as Ben worked his way around the two families.

Five brushed his thumb against Inanna's as he shifted on the couch, preparing to be shut down by Inanna the moment the words left his mouth, but unlike the others Five didn't want to celebrate until he apologised.

"I'm sorry-" Five's gaze dropped from Inanna as she instantly turned her head away from him.

"Not now, Five" Inanna mumbled.

"Inanna, please, let me talk" Five whispered, not wanting to be heard by the others as Ben got closer to them.

Inanna moved Five's hand off her knee and dropped it onto the couch as she stood up. Five followed her, turning so his body was in front of hers.

Inanna set her hand on Five's forearm, letting her gaze find his. Inanna wasn't trying to be rude, she just knew it would take more than an apology and a repeat of the hotel argument for her to forgive Five for his lies. "Celebrate with your family. We can talk later, alright? I'll be at the hotel" Inanna nodded her head as Five shook his, he didn't want Inanna to leave, he wouldn't stop her but he was against the idea.

"I can come with you-".

Inanna moved her hand from his arm, placing it on his cheek. "You and I both know you love a party, so-".

Inanna was interrupted by Lila as she placing her arms around Five and Inanna's shoulders, pulling them apart as she looked between them. "Come on, lovers, the party can't start until mum and dad have a drink".

"In a minute, alright, Lila, we-".

"No, no" A faint smile formed on Inanna's face. She didn't want to drag Lila into their conversation. "I'm going to head back to the hotel, wash this blood off me and go to sleep early".

"Already? It's not even late" Lila's brows lowered as she turned her gaze to Five, wondering what he could have said to Inanna.

Inanna nodded. "So-" Inanna ducked underneath Lila's arm, freeing herself from her grip. "You can make sure he enjoys himself, just a little this evening".

Lila smiled brightly and Five dropped his eyes to Inanna's shoes, noticing the blood that had stained them.

"Don't have too much fun without him," Lila said, messing up Five's hair, which caused him to move away from her. "You could always save the shower until he gets back" Lila raised her brow, ignoring the glare that Five sent her while Inanna began excusing herself from the party.

Inanna slipped passed Diego, going unnoticed as he swung around a sword in his hand which had used to slice open a bottle of champagne.

"Was that comment necessary?" Five asked Lila as he watched Inanna leave the Academy after setting her empty glass on the table in the entrance.

Lila shrugged. "We all know you and Inan aren't as innocent as you make out to be" Lila said leaning towards Five. "You already scarred mine and Diego's ears".

"We never claimed to be anything" Five brushed his hair out of his face. "We just aren't all over each other like you and my brother".

Lila chuckled, "You can't keep your hands off each other even when she is clearly pissed at you for whatever bullshit you did" Five shook his head. "Now, your Mrs told you to enjoy yourself, so..." Lila spun around grabbing an opened bottle of champagne from Ben. Lila turned back to Five pouring the liquid into his glass. "Enjoy yourself".
