Life is known to never be simple, never to be easy. Especially when there is a dark war gathering on the horizon, causing the entirety of the wizard into world to be secretive and suspicious. But when Theodore Nott meets a sparkly-eyed girl, life suddenly grows more difficult.

Because there is only one problem: the girl is dead, and has been for years.

But Marlene McKinnon proves to be more than just the young ghost haunting the Hogwarts Express; she has a mission. One that requires Theodore's help.

-•- During the Battle is Hogwarts, Theodore fights for Harry Potter, and he protects Hogwarts alongside Marlene, who is there to protect the Sword of Gryffindor. She is the one who puts it in the Sorting Hat for Neville to use to kill Nagini
