In which they bond over their fear of Voldemort being back.

Details:

Background

• It takes place during OotP and continues to DH or can include post war.

• It starts when Dean joins the DA, but doesn't take Seamus. He of course, doesn't know about the DA, but he sees how Dean is spending less time with him and begins to feel lonely.

• He roams around Hogwarts on his own, and meets the OC by chance.

• OC, like him, believes wholeheartedly in the Daily Prophet, and both talk about what an arse Harry Potter is.

• They find happiness within each other, and their friendship develops through the story.

• But, even after Seamus joins the DA, OC still refuses to believe Voldemort is back, and it causes a rift in their friendship.

• Throughout HBP, they have a very shaky relationship, and even though they interact, they are very awkward around each other.

• Dean helps Seamus during this time to make him feel better.

• OC is a year above them, so they are not present at Hogwarts under the Carrows.

• During the battle, OC is killed. (Or not, it's up to you). Seamus can have a few minutes of reunion before they get separated.

• The focus of this story is on friendship and on the struggles of maintaining a friendship during a war, where arguments and fears can break people apart.

Options:

• OC can be male or female.

• They can be in either Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw, because the point of this story is Seamus finding comfort in places he has usually stayed away from. Not Slytherin, because then it would take three years for him to open up to the OC.

• It's a slow burn story, with Seamus liking Dean, but falling for OC as well.

• If you kill OC in the battle, Seamus can start a relationship with Dean, or he can remain single. If you don't kill OC, again, the same thing, because the point of this story should be about how wars can destroy friendships.
