synopsis

The way Ron Weasley's careless eyes skimmed over her left Lavender Brown feeling invisible.

She had done everything to get his attention. She attended the Yule Ball with one of his friends, Seamus Finnigan. Lavender lingered by the boy's dormitories every day, waiting for him. She sat near Ron in most all their classes. She mentioned his name at night in her room in front of Hermione Granger, hoping that the girl would pas it on to Ron.

But nothing worked. For years, she was left with nothing but her crush on Ron Weasley, and the bitter tang of disappointment.

Until a deadly combination of jealousy and anger mix, causing a memorable aftermath of a Quidditch match. And it erased any sense of invisibility Lavender might have felt.

But though things might seem perfect to Lavender, the habit of being invisible isn't one easily lost.
