Inner Demon

Felix and Jameson skidded to a halt when Sean's screaming abruptly stopped, leaving them with no clue of where Sean really was since there was two paths they could take.

"Which way?" Felix asked Jameson, hoping he would have an idea of which way to turn.

The path to the left and the path to the right were identical, giving them little help in their decision.

Jameson frowned thoughtfully as he glanced down each hallway, his body tense as if expecting something to jump out at him.

"This way then." Felix decided hesitantly, cautiously walking down the right hall with Jameson creeping alongside as if he was a secret spy.

Down the hall there was a set of two metal doors with blood staining them.

"Sean must've been down here." Felix muttered grimly as he pressed his hand against the blood, surprised by how fresh it was.

"Have any tricks up your sleeves to quietly get us in?" Felix asked Jameson hopefully.

Jameson frowned thoughtfully before his expression brightened, pulling a crowbar out of his sleeve.

"I didn't think you literally had a trick up your sleeve, but that works." Felix smirked as he took the crowbar and pried the doors apart with the help of Jameson.

"Ya know, you're starting to grow on me Jameson." Felix remarked as he handed the crowbar back.

Jameson smiled back and flashed Felix a thumbs up before poking his head through the doors.

Instantly Jameson ducked he head back in, his face drained of all color as he frantically signed to Felix what he saw.

"Woah woah woah, slow down, I can't understand you." Felix told the panicked ego gently.

Jameson took a shaky deep breath before he pointed out the door.

Felix followed his finger and felt his eyes grow wide in shock at what he saw, the sight making him feel sick and terrified at the same time.

Inside was Sean and the other egos.

But all of the egos had black eyes like Anti.

Felix motioned for Jameson to stay put while he crept out, his heart pounding in his ears as he paused behind a counter so he could listen in on what Anti was saying.

"....you can't win, I've grown stronger because of your fear. And now thanks to you, I have an army to kill you and your friend with." Anti announced gleefully.

"Ah, but it seems one of them has come to me." Anti mused happily, catching Felix off guard.

When he looked behind him, he saw Jameson looming over him with black eyes like the other egos.

"Well lookie here Sean, it's my little spy." Anti giggled maniacally as Jameson pulled Felix out of his hiding spot and shoved him so he fell down at Anti's feet.

"I brought them here like you wanted and told you where Sean was you psychopath, now let Marzia, Signe, and my pugs go!" Felix barked impatiently as he scrambled to his feet, standing his ground despite the warning glare Anti shot him.

"Felix?" Sean whispered, heart broken as he weakly looked up at his friend with his sad crystal blue eyes.

"You see, you're both weak! I was able to capture them easily when Felix left to check on your precious ego friends. Now look at them." Anti sneered, walking away from where Sean was still pinned to the wall to the dark corner of the room.

Marzia and Signe were tied with rope and gagged with dirty rags, their hands restrained behind the wooden chairs.

The pugs were gagged and trapped in metal wire cages as if they were lab rats instead of Felix's dogs.

"So thanks to you, my revenge gets to be that much sweeter since I get to kill more people that Sean loves before I kill him too." Anti told Felix as he clapped him on the back in congratulations.

"You son of a bitch, you promised that you'd let them go!" Felix snarled in rage.

"This is why you never trust a demon Felix." Anti stated unapologetically with a shrug.

"However I did appreciate your help, so I'll make your death merciful." Anti assured Felix.

"What-"

Felix broke off when Anti threw a knife at him, the silver blade glinting menacingly in the dim light as it flew through the air and embedded itself into Felix's chest, leaving the black handle sticking out.

The egos watched emotionlessly while Sean scream in rage and struggled against his prison to no avail before breaking down into sobs, his body shaking as he fell back against the wall in defeat while Felix's body crumpled to the floor onto his back.

"He was only the beginning Sean, there's much more death to come." Anti reminded Sean excitedly as he kicked Felix in the ribs.

Felix cried out in pain as more blood flowed out of the wound and pooled onto the floor, leaving a crimson puddle around him.

"Ya know, I wanted to help you once. I wanted to inspire you to reach your hopes and dreams, but those scientists kept me from what I wanted! I was forced to be your inner demon. So I decided if I was designed to be the bad guy, I'll be the baddest guy no one could even imagine." Anti remarked casually as he walked over in front of Sean, ignoring Felix's labored breathing.

"What's the point of your stupid monologue anyway?" Sean growled in pent up anger.

"Isn't it obvious? My passion was taken away, and now it's your turn." Anti scoffed as he turned on his heel and stormed over to Signe, lifting her face up with his finger to look into her fear filled eyes.

"Say goodbye." Anti hissed threateningly as a knife appeared in his hand, the blade held dangerously close to her neck.

"Stop!"

All eyes turned to see Robbie standing confidently in the doorway, his expression serious.

"Robbie here to help. Robbie brought friends." Robbie explained as he turned around, gesturing to the people gathered behind him.

Sean was surprised to see Tricky Trix and Experiment C65, the experiments he had been studying before they had escaped.

"Robbie care for Sean! Robbie still mistake, but Robbie try to be better. Robbie kinda smart." Robbie blurted.

"Sean cares about Robbie too." Sean replied, relieved to see the zombie ego alive...or at least not dead again.

"Sister?" Anti scowled as he glared at Experiment C65.

"No ned to glare brother dear, I'm here to help you." Experiment C65 assured him, rolling her eyes as she casually sauntered over to him.

"Oh no, how will I ever stop a kind zombie and useless girl from fooling my plans?" Anti stated, voice dripping with sarcasm.

"Let's see how useless I am demon." Tricky Trix retorted as she clenched her hands into fists at her side before multiple identical copies of her filled the room.

Sean watched as one of the clones freed him and helped him limp over to Robbie, gently laying him down against the wall.

Robbie roared in genuine anger that made Sean flinch in surprise as the zombie prepared to fight for his friends.

"Let the battle begin then." Anti laughed, twirling the knife in his hand before charging towards Robbie.
