Beaten
"You're all so pathetic, I've only gotten stronger this entire time!" Anti declared cockily, seemingly hundreds of knives circling around him in the air like a tornado with him in the center.
His sister had disappeared before returning with a double barrel shot- gun, her expression unreadable.
"Robbie can win." Robbie retorted confidently.
"How so zombie-boy?" Anti's sister taunted.
"Robbie has determination." Robbie replied, the other egos rallying around him.
"Marvin, distract her while I go for Anti!" Jackaboy-Man directed as he charged through the whirlwind of knives, feeling the blades through his suit and into his skin.
Marvin nodded as he tossed a card at Anti's sister, creating a devil trap around her to keep her trapped.
"I can still shoot." She reminded him smugly.
From out of nowhere, a bullet flew through the air, bounced off of the wall behind her, and hit the gun with enough force to knock it out of her hands.
"And now you don't. Magic." Chase interjected, twirling his own pistol in his hand proudly.
Jackaboy-Man was losing strength, feeling blood flowing all over his body from the multiple wounds he had sustained by just trying to reach Anti.
"It's great to see my greatest enemy look so defeated." Anti mused wryly, not bothering to even attack as Jackaboy-Man fell to his knees.
"You...can't win..." Jackaboy-Man spat vehemently.
"What's sad is that you're right. Even when I kill all of you, I won't be what I want to. However, at least I'll finally get my revenge." Anti shrugged as he bent down on one knee in front of Jackaboy-Man so he could look at him directly in the eyes.
"And I'll start my revenge with you." Anti laughed.
"So we're just supposed to sit back and wait for them to hopefully defeat Anti?" Felix huffed in annoyance from where he was lying against the wall next to Sean.
"Unless you got some secret super powers." Sean retorted.
"Look-"
"Why the hell did you listen to Anti anyway?!" Sean snapped furiously, cutting Felix off.
"I just wanted to keep Marzi, Signe, and the pugs safe! They're my friends!" Felix protested defensively.
"So was I once." Sean muttered bitterly.
"Sean..." Felix trailed off with a weary sigh, rubbing his face in exasperation.
"I'm sorry." Felix apologized meekly.
"Sorry?! Sorry doesn't make up for leading the egos down here and nearly getting them killed, sorry doesn't change that I nearly died by electricity because of you, sorry doesn't make my friends trapped down here safe, and sorry sure as hell doesn't fix the fact that you purposefully locked me in a room with Anti for months!" Sean yelled, glaring at his so-called friend.
"I couldn't move, I couldn't do anything on my own. He made me leave the cell and kill people before coming back before you would visit, pretending that I hadn't moved. I killed all of the scientists as they tried to escape...I almost killed Robin too." Sean whispered dejectedly, his head hung in shame.
"That wasn't you, that was Anti." Felix reminded him gently, feeling guilt well up in him and grip his heart with its icy grip.
"But I saw it all and couldn't stop him." Sean replied moodily.
"I'm sorry." Felix repeated apologetically, unsure of what else to say.
"Me too." Sean nodded.
"FUCK!"
Sean and Felix looked up just in time to see Jackaboy-Man fly across the gap and slam his back against the wall before falling to the ground with a painful thud.
"You okay? What happened?" Sean asked worriedly as he ran over to the ego, watching as he struggled to get back up before his arms gave out, causing him to hit the floor again.
"I'm fine." Jackaboy-Man spoke through gritted teeth, his mask torn nearly to shreds and blood trailing down his jaw from a cut above his eyebrow as he looked up at Sean.
"You're not, you're fucking bleeding!" Sean exclaimed.
"I can't give up..." Jackaboy-Man growled as he managed to push himself up off of the ground into a somewhat wobbly standing position.
"No one said you were." Felix spoke up.
"Jackaboy-Man, what happened?" Marvin blurted as he ran over to him, his eyes shining with concern.
"Anti, he's so powerful." Jackaboy-Man admitted.
"If you can't beat them, join them." Felix mumbled under his breath.
"What?" Marvin frowned as he turned to face Felix as if acknowledging his existence for the first time.
"Why don't we convince him that he doesn't have to get revenge by killing us all?" Felix suggested.
"That could work." Sean admitted.
"There's no way he'd listen to any of us." Jackaboy-Man chimed in.
"I'll do it." Sean volunteered.
"No, you already almost died." Marvin decided firmly.
"So have all of you! Let me help." Sean pleaded.
Jackaboy-Man and Marvin exchanged glances before going with Sean back over to Anti.
Robbie was trapped in a cage, Jameson was on the floor presumably unconscious, Chase was pinned to the wall by knives, and Schneep was standing silently in front of Anti with a circle of knives surrounding him.
"Anti!" Sean called out.
"Well look who decided to show up." Anti sneered.
"Anti, killing all of us won't make you change from representing my dark side!" Sean continued, ignoring Anti's remark.
"True, but it'll be fun." Anti shrugged.
"Anti-"
Sean broke off as the room started shaking, the gap in the middle widening as debris started raining down from the ceiling.
"This place is coming down." Felix realized.
"No duh dipshit, we gotta go!" Marvin yelled as he darted over to Robbie to free him before freeing Marzia, the pugs, and Signe.
Jackaboy-Man scooped the unconscious Jameson up and laid him over his shoulder while the knives fell to the floor, releasing the others.
"I know the way out of here!" Felix told the others as he darted ahead and out of the room with the others in tow.
"Help!"
Sean dared to glance over his shoulder to see Anti get knocked to the floor by a huge chunk of debris, the hole in the floor ready to swallow him up.
Sean hesitated as the others ran on before he ran back for Anti.
"Come on." Sean grinned as he helped Anti up and allowed him to sling an arm around his shoulder so he could quickly walk.
Sean and Anti managed to catch up with the others just in time as the entire underground structure caved in.
"Zhat was too close for my taste." Schneep remarked, brushing dirt off of his somehow still clean lab coat.
"You okay S-Anti!" Jackaboy-Man snarled as he pushed Sean out of the way and tackled Anti to the ground.
Anti let Jackaboy-Man continue to punch up in the face, his face rapidly becoming bruised and bloodied.
"Back off of him!" Sean barked, dragging the hero back.
"What the hell is happening?!" Marzia yelled in confusion.
"Marzi...lets go inside, this'll take awhile." Felix sighed, Everyone following him in except Sean and Anti.
"You okay?" Sean asked the dark ego as he helped him up.
"I'll live, I've had worse...thank you." Anti replied sincerely.
"No problem." Sean assured him as he started to go into Felix's house.
"C'mon." Sean invited Anti as he paused on the doorway.
"Are you sure? I think everyone in there wants to kill me." Anti frowned.
"I'll take care of it." Sean promised him as the ego followed him inside.
