Chapter 15
I went to Tori.
She took me to the back of the tattoo shop and made me tea.
She made chai tea my mother used to, except she put two shots of blood in it.
I looked over at some of the sketches, some of them were really good. My eye stayed on the flame of the vampire insignia. Not only did the drawing itself surprise me, but the artist who drew it, too. Tori caught my eye.
"Don't worry about Four. He's just an ass." She explained after I stopped crying.
"Yeah but why is he so mean.. To me?" I asked looking up at her when she handed me a mug. She opened her mouth to speak, then closed it right after and shrugged taking a drink of her tea.
"Wait.. No what were you going to say?" I asked as she stirred her spoon in her tea.
"I don't know what you're talking about," she mumbled looking down.
"Tori."
"Drink your tea."
I sighed and looked over at the clock.
"It's getting late," I said over to Tori and stood up. "Thanks, for everything." She stood up and nodded.
"I'm here, whenever." She said with a smile, I nodded and walked out of the tattoo parlor and back into the familiar hall.
I heard footsteps and stopped walking, I turned back, no one was there. I held my gaze on the shadows and turned back, continuing to walk. After I turned the corner I saw Four, I kept my eyes down. Once I got closer I started to walk faster, but his hand was already on my wrist. I gritted my teeth, and instead of fighting I stayed quiet until he pulled me back into a dark hall.
"What!?" I hissed. He slowly walked toward me, I stayed quiet, my muscles still. I couldn't speak.
I especially wasn't prepared for what happened next. Four leaned down, his arms wrapping around my waist. I automatically had my legs around his waist. Once I was pushed back against the wall his lips were forced against mine and I finally stopped fighting. His firm hand snaked along side my thigh and squeezed. My sigh was muffled by his lips, he pulled away, pushing my hair back as his lips found my neck. The feeling I get when I drank blood took over and I felt my teeth sharpen and eyes get the same irritated feeling I hated. My one hand snaked up along side his body, exposing some skin as my hand ran over his bare skin. It felt so good. His grip on me continued to tighten as his kisses became rougher and I couldn't help myself but to moan quietly, his hand found my mouth. His other hand continued to rub my thigh.
I felt my skin burn with pleasure, but as quick as it came, it was gone. His lips found mine once more, pecking them one last time then slowly pulling away, we both looked at each other as he slowly set me back on my feet. The moment was gone.
And so was he.
The next morning I wore my hair in a high ponytail and kept a clear steer of Four. I hadn't seen him in the morning when we drank our blood. I was secretly glad. I don't know what he did to me, but he made me loose control, and I couldn't tell whether that were good or bad.
"We're halfway through the second mark and Four and I have tallied up the scores for the second half, enjoy." The scores went up and I heard myself gasp.
I was number 1.
"Congrats, E!" Fallon said slapping me on the back. I smiled and even laughed softly, but when I looked over, Peter was staring. If we weren't good before, that definitely was not about to change.
I closed my eyes and counted to 3. I looked at Four across the hall, he was talking to some of the born-vampires, I waited until they left until I walked over to him. He saw me, his face hardened. I thought about backing out.
"Congrats, on being first."
"About that," I mumbled and started to walk, he followed. "I didn't rank highest because of.. Last night.. Did I? I mean I earned it.. Right?" I finally turned to him. He laughed softly and crossed his arms, looking down at me.
"E, it was just a kiss."
"If you felt the way I did, then it felt way more then just some kiss." I said putting my sweaty hands into my pockets. He lowered his eyes to mine, searching.
"E," he said my name. I looked up and his eyes have found mine, "was that seriously your first kiss?"
"Oh my..." I crossed my arms, gritted my teeth and turned my heel, he was so annoying sometimes...
"Wait, wait," he said catching up with me. "I'm sorry, okay?"
"Whatever, I need to go." I said turning away from him.
"The only reason I asked," he wasn't giving up, "is because you seemed so experienced." He leaned down and whispered the last word in my ear. I stopped walking, this time he continued to stride down the hall, all alone.
