Divided [Chapter 3]
[Warning! Non-happy chapter!]
After 5 minutes, the doorbell echoed around the Futago Mansion. Will opened the door.
"Hello Sierra!" He greeted.
"I brought over some grapes!" She said, smiling. He led her inside to his lab, showing her his progress.
"Oh wow! It's so cute!!!" She said
"Well I wouldn't be able to do this without your help. After all, it's your knowledge of dogs that got me this far." Will said.
"What are you going to name it?" Sierra asked
"Hm. I was hoping you would think of something." He said, smiling.
"Alright....how about.....Sierril?"
"Eh?...."
"It's our names together. Sierril."
"Oh.." Will chuckled.
"It sounds like a pairing name..."
"H-hey! That's not what I was thinking!" She said, blushing.
"Relax. Sierril is a fine name for our soul dog." He said. He was about to eat a grape when the door opened.
"F-father??" Will said, completely caught off guard.

Mill wasted no time in the mall. Although she had to speed walk since running wasn't allowed. She bursted into the Leslies's store, first one to the right of the second floor elevator. Yes she knows the mall extremely well. She went over to the back most rack and picked up a small orange purse with a sparkly purple star on the side. Satisfied, Mill went to the cashier to pay. As she waited, she saw a program on tv.
"-with his latest theme of devices that can revolutionize cleaning forever! Phillip Futago has made several others like this one shown here!"
An item was displayed on the screen next to a picture of a man.
"Phillip Futago? Could he be....no..." Mill paid for her bag and quickly went on her phone.
"Scarlet, search for the name Phillip Futago." Mill said, her phone immediately searching. She looked through some paragraphs and gasped.
"....dad?..."

The loud sound of a slap across Will's face echoed around the lab. Sierra gasped silently, unsure of how to react.
"You make a careless mistake on your test and this is what you do afterwards? Eating fruit with your friend??" Will's father boomed. Will looked up at him with a slight glare.
"It was just one point father. I still did the best in the class." He said sternly.
"It's unacceptable that a Futago would make such a careless mistake!" His father said.
"You don't even deserve to be in this family!"
"M-Mr. Futago, c-can't he just-"
Sierra started to say. Will shook his head no.
"I got this." He said, standing upright in front of his old man.
"Father, no, Phillip. Ever since mom died, you've been nothing but a rule enforcing father! It's been nothing but expectation after expectation! Who says every Futago has to be a flawless human?? I've taken all of this on my shoulders for a long time, and now I've finally snapped! If you even want a shred of mercy, YOU will leave this mansion!" Will shouted.
"And do you expect me to let my own son-!"
Will rolled up his right sleeve and his hand shifted into a long gold-and-silver blade.
"You will leave. Now." Will ordered. Silently, his father grabbed a bag from upstairs, grabbed his wallet, and left. Will retracted the blade and noticed Sierra.
"I'm....sorry you had to see that...you can leave...if you want..." He said, starting to calm down.
She shook her head no.
"I want to help you Will. I don't want you to face this by yourself.." She said.
"Thanks..." He picked up a grape and ate it.

Mill ran out of the mall and got onto her motorcycle, heading home as fast as she could. She had to tell her mom that her dad was still alive! As she skidded to a halt on the driveway, she hopped off and tossed her helmet onto the lawn. Though what greeted her at the door was unusual. There was a huge hole in the door, it appeared to have been shattered by a heavy object. She opened it slowly and held her wand tightly, taking small steps inside.
"Mom?...." She asked, investigating further. She took one step into the living room and nearly passed out. Her mom was on the ground, severely wounded, and two thugs were dead around her. Mill ran immediately to her side, tears starting to form.
"Mom!!" She said, shaking her gently.
"M-Mill?..." Her voice was weak.
"Mom, you're hurt!" Mill said, trying to find a book with a healing spell on the closest shelf.
"Don't bother....I don't have any healing spells..." Her mom said, coughing. Mill rushed over to her again.
"Mom I found dad! He lives in Cloudsburg! We can be a family again!" She said.
"Mill....please.....after I leave.....find your father and your brother Will....I already made arrangements...for your new life..."
"I have a brother?? And don't say that you're going to leave! You're not going anywhere!" Mill protested.
"I'm sure we'll....see each other again....someday..." Her mom said, closing her eyes.
"Mom....mom!!!" Mill yelled, her eyes starting to fill with tears.
"Mom!!!!"
