Chapter 3

By the time we pulled into the school's parking lot, I was questioning my latest tweet.

Why didn't I mention the little meet up Noah wanted to have after school?

I was interrupted from my thoughts when Taylor opened her door. "Come on Lona. We're gonna be late." I pushed my door open and stepped out of the car.

Taylor and I didn't have next period together but I had gym with Callie, another one of my close friends.

I caught up to Taylor as she began to head towards the school. "Hey, don't worry about Joyce. I can handle it. I would like it if you stay out of the drama. There is no reason for you to get mixed up in all of this, okay?"

Taylor said nothing as she pushed open the school door. I gripped her arm lightly stopping her from heading off to her class. "Okay?" I ask again knowing Taylor was already pissed.

She nodded, not meeting my gaze. I let go and watched her walk down the hall. I knew she wasn't going to let me handle it by myself. I was thankful for such a great friend who would have my back no matter what.

I headed in the opposite direction as Taylor-towards the gym. I was not looking forward to gym at all. Not only because it's gym, but also because Joyce and Noah were in my gym class. "Just what I need," I mutter before stumbling into the rowdy humid room.

After getting my gym clothes on which consisted of Capri leggings with a pink shirt that says Life update: still a mess, I wander over to Callie who was sitting on the bleachers to the far left of the gym. She looked up as I sat beside her. "Hey girl!" she chirps. "Hey, you got a new gym shirt?" I inquire, examining the bright colors.

She follows my gaze and giggles. "Yeah, you like?"

"Definitely," I reply. "It's accurate for just about everyone in here. You'll be living the life and the rest of the kids here will be drinking until sunrise, and waking up in ditches."

The words on her shirt read, "My shirt is brighter than your future."

Callie snickers, throwing her head back.

My eyes drift over to a small group of people on the other end of the bleaches. A second later, my emerald eyes locked with the devilish ones of Joyce Raymond. She smirked at me before taking a hold of Noah's hand who sat one seat below her.

My eyes drifted to him, but what I didn't expect was his gaze to be locked on me. He stared at me intently until suddenly Joyce stood up and pulled him up with her. With a malicious smile and a quick wink, she pulled Noah closer to her and kissed him.

Yep, she kissed him right in front of me. On purpose. That bitch.

While they stood, sucking each other's faces off, I pulled Callie up and lead her down the bleachers. "What's wrong?" she asked curiously.

"I can't sit in here." She saw me quickly peek over my shoulder back towards the bleachers where Noah was now watching us walk away and looked back to see what I had saw. "Yeah, good idea."

Callie and Taylor knew what had happened and stuck by me after Noah and I's break up. They saw me at my worst. They saw me cry myself to sleep for the first month after the breakup, and they comforted me as much as they could, by buying me tubs after tubs of ice cream and staying the night with me to make sure I wouldn't be alone.

In the end, I hated  both Noah and Joyce with a passion, but that didn't mean I was okay with seeing them kiss every hour of every day.

There's this quote that I became obsessed with for awhile.

But after months of reading that everyday, I stopped. It made me wonder. Did he really love me or was I just a desperate act of filling in the void of loneliness?

Another frequent cast member has been added down below!

Now meet Callie Wilson played by Danielle Campbell

She's the quiet one

But that doesn't mean she can't handle anything that goes on in Cedarwood High.

She has more confidence than people would have assumed

And that won't go unnoticed around here.
