Chapter 2

I lifted myself from my seat as the school bell rang throughout the classroom. I was now fuming from Joyce's tweet. There was no point in starting drama through Twitter when she's not as high and mighty as you would think in real life. I tower over her about six inches and have more meat on my bones that you would think. She's like a twig. Not that being skinny is a bad thing, but when that time comes when you cross the wrong person, they'll stomp all over you not giving two shits about your size and the amount of damage they could cause.

"Hey, you alright?" Taylor questions as we exit the class into the crowded halls.

Shrugging, we both make our way to our lockers which were three lockers away from each other's. "Check Twitter. Although you could probably guess." I exclaimed over the loud students around us.

Once we reach our lockers, we part ways which in this case was three feet. After shoving my Biology books and notebooks into the small cramped space of my locker decorated with pictures of memories I'll never forget, I pull out my phone. To my dismay, Joyce has wasted another precious minute of my time with another one of her stupid drama filled tweets.

"I got you," Taylor said from over my shoulder. "I'll tweet her once we get to my car." Sighing, I place my phone into my back pocket before shutting my locker.

Luckily, we reach Taylor's BMW 5 Series Sedan without seeing either Joyce nor Noah.

Taylor starts the car before pulling out her own phone. Taking mine out as well, a notification tells me I have a private Twitter message. Scowling down at my phone, I know I have to read whatever bullshit Joyce says to me this time.

My heart drops when I read the name on the top of the screen.

Ignoring the small tingles in my fingers, I message him back faster than I would have hoped.

As Taylor continued to type furiously on her phone, I tap her shoulder and show her the messages. She scoffs, clicking in her seat belt. "He's such a jackass."

"Anyway, I tweeted Joyce. Check it out, I think you'll be pleased." The wicked smirk on her lips left me slightly nervous.

Taylor lurched out of the school's parking lot as I opened up the Twitter app.

"Yeah, I remember that. We were hiding in the cornfield for hours." I giggled as I replayed the memory in my head. It was last year at a New Year's Eve party. Taylor, Callie and I were there and there had been alcohol. The music must have been too loud or there must have been too many drunken teens walking through the quiet neighborhood because someone had called the cops.

So us three ran. The neighborhood was on the edge of town, so us being so drunk, ran the opposite way from our houses and instead, into the cornfields on the other side of the backyard fence. We hid in there for hours. Mostly because we had gotten lost.

It was currently 12:15 PM as Tay and I sat in a booth next to one of the few bay windows in Kathy's Urban Diner. We had both finished up our lunches-mine a chicken salad and Taylor had eaten Kathy's famous BLT sandwich with a side of fries. And to finish it off, we both ordered ourselves a vanilla shake.

After another fifteen minutes of talking about random things, we each pay our own half of the bill and step out into the chilly air. Before we had gone into the Diner, we agreed we wouldn't check our phones until we had left.

So obviously, we both took a minute to glance at our phones before heading back to school. But since my life doesn't turn out that easily, I ended up staring at my phone for a solid three minutes before looking up. More specifically, I was staring at a text I received.

Chapter two is complete! I have to admit I'm writing more than I thought I would.  But since it's the weekend, I decided to post multiple chapters. Maybe two a day? It depends on the amount of free time I have, but I think I can do that on most weekends!

Please leave your thoughts in the comments, vote and share! It would mean a ton.

Hope you enjoyed the first chapter of today!
