"Were you diagnosed with depression and anxiety before joining One Woods?"
Mitch looked up, Melanie looking at him with wide eyes. She wore a bib now, her hair in loose ponytails now. Everyone in the group looked at him, waiting for a response.
"Well, yes actually," Mitch replied, looking at his fingers. He could hear Lisa gasp silently, wondering why she did that. "I was diagnosed with the both of them when I was about sixteen, but I never had a clear definition of them. All the doctors gave me were pills. I didn't even know what they were until recently."
"Wait," Troye spoke up, taking his head off Connor's shoulder. Mitch looked at him, widening his eyes a bit. "Why didn't you know what depression and anxiety were until now, not when you were sixteen? You look at least twenty two."
"I am twenty two," Mitch informed the younger boy shyly, looking at his lap now. "I didn't know why they were because I have a mentality of a small child. I don't know that much and I struggle with problems that little kids could solve in no time."
"Why?" Drew asked, biting his finger nails now. Mitch looked up at him, wanting to go home. "Did something happen to you that made that happen?"
"I was diagnosed with the disorder when was five," Mitch began, having to relive his past. He took a deep breath, already tearing up a bit. "When I was younger, my parents and sister were very absent. They didn't care for me because of the fact that I was an Omega. Their families hates Omegas."
"Oh, wow," Shane whispered, shaking his head. Mitch nodded, swallowing the lump in his throat. "Do you remember the day that you were diagnosed with it?"
Mitch allowed a tear to roll down his cheek, smiling the best he could when Lisa gave him a tissue. He wiped his eyes, taking another deep breath to continue his story.
"The day I was diagnosed was the day my family abandoned them."
Lisa began to cry instantly, shaking her head as she hugged Mitch closely. Melanie shared a look with Drew, putting down her teddy bear for a few seconds to hug Mitch. Troye began to cry too while Connor comforted him. Shane bit his lip, shaking his head so he won't punch anything.
"I'm so sorry," Lisa whispered, shaking her head. She wiped away one of Mitch's tears, her own tears falling. "No one deserves that."
"It gets better though," Mitch reassured, smiling weakly. "After that, I went to the orphanage. I lived there for fifteen years. I was kicked out and went to a house to stay dry because it was raining. My life changed there.
"My Pack came home and before I knew it, I met the world's most handsome man ever. His name is Scott Hoying and that man is the one who married me and gave me three beautiful children."
Mitch's face crumpled, letting more tears escape. He sobbed quietly, the cuts on his arm revealing his heartbreak. Everyone waited patiently for him to finish his story, their hearts breaking at the sight of the emotional Alphmega.
"He was the first person to tell me that he loved me, he made me happy, he gave me three beautiful children, he gave me all of this and I was finally happy until his ex-Mate came into the picture.
"His ex-Mate hated me. He hurt me with every chance he could and tried to separate us. He left after I yelled at him, but he came back and tried to kill me. Scott caught him and made him stop. He left right afterwards, making me happy that I could have Scott without any worries.
"Then...we found his ex-Mate dead. He...he shot himself. I couldn't believe it. I thought he was just asleep, but I was wrong. I wanted to be right so bad.
"Scott was so sad, even after I was told we were having twins. Then one day, he told me he loved someone else. That's why I'm here, because of him.
"The cuts on my arms are because of him. The pills I almost overdosed on were because of him. My depression and anxiety becoming worse is because of him."
Mitch sobbed loudly right there, shaking his head. Lisa and Troye were crying loudly now while Shane and Connor had silent tears run down their faces. Melanie and Drew sat in shock, shaking their heads sadly. Much took a deep breath, looking at the cuts that will forever adorn his arms.
"I don't know if I could ever fall in love again because of him."
~~~
"When could go?! It's been two days!"
"I need to find out a way to go so my dad won't catch me," Candice replied, brushing back Genevieve's hair. "He will kill on the spot if he finds out I'm helping Divergents."
"Why can't The Council stop them?" Tori asked, crossing her arms. Candice sighed, looking at her hands sadly. "The Council has some of the strongest rankings in the world."
"The Committee is too strong to stop now," Kevin answered, shaking his head. Alyssa sighed sadly, shaking her head too. "We could try, but it'll most likely end with one of us not coming back home."
"Not coming back home?" Ben asked, raising an eyebrow. Everyone looked at him, wondering what he had to say. "Do you that they have to stay wherever we go? I would hate that! I would want to go home."
"Ben," Avi told him seriously, the Omega looking over at him immediately. "When people say that, they usually mean that someone...dies."
"What?" Ben asked, shaking his head. He teared a bit, looking at everyone else. "You can't die though! You have to survive! You have to stop The Council!"
"We will," Kevin reassured the Omega, setting him back gently. Jessi held him, making sure that he was okay. "We will beat them. We will show them that what they're doing is wrong and unrighteous."
"Ha, like my dad will ever think that," Candice spoke up, shaking her head. She noticed how Genevieve looked sad, kissing the too k her head sweetly. "What's the matter, love?"
"Why does your daddy hate you if you're perfect the way you are?"
Alyssa put her hand on her chest, tearing up at the question. Avi and Kevin shared a look, wondering how to describe something like this to Omegas. Tori looked away, not wanting anyone to know that she was crying. Ben and Jessi nodded, wondering the same thing.
"It's hard to explain, love," Candice answered, kissing her fiancée sweetly. Genevieve nodded, wondering why anybody will ever hate someone for something they can't change. "My daddy's just a very hateful person. He's never been very nice."
"Just like my parents?"
"I'm afraid so, sweetheart."
Genevieve nodded sadly, cuddling Candice so she won't be sad. The doorbell rang, catching Jessi's attention. They stood up, skipping over to the door. They opened it happily, widening their eyes at the person behind it.
"Scott?!"
~~~
Kirstin woke up, groaning at the pain that erupted in her head. She rubbed at it, her anger growing as she stood up. She slipped a bit, broken beer bottles making her lose her balance.
"SCOTT!"
She kicked at the bed, looking over at the broken window. She widened her eyes, shaking her head as she walked over to it.
"No, no, NOOOOOO!"
She screamed as she picked something up, throwing it against her wall. It broke in hundreds of pieces, making her take deeper breaths. She shook her head, stomping her way downstairs to call someone.
"Pick up now, you worthless excuse of a human."
The phone ringed three times until the person on the next line picked up. Kirstin took a exasperated sigh, shaking her head.
"Finally! How dumb are you?! It does not take three rings to answer someone!"
"I'm sorry, Kirstin. It's not that easy for the get arou-"
"Shut up, Mom! Let me speak! I could never undertakes how you gave birth me to me."
"What does that mean?"
"It means you're incredibly stupid and you'll never do well in life. I'm smart and I've actually done something successful."
"I'm sorry."
"Sure you are," Kirstin hissed, shaking her head. She smirked, shaking her head. "Anyways, is Dad out of jail?"
"Why should I tell you?"
"Oh, wow," Kirstin spoke in a baby voice, pouting a bit. "Mommy finally stood up for herself. What a surprise. Tell where he is."
"No! He's bad news, Kirstin. He murdered people!"
"Like father, like daughter."
"KIRSTIN TAYLOR, YOU KILLED PEOPLE?!"
"Yes, I did and I'll kill you if you don't tell me where my father is."
She smirked when she heard her mother cry, knowing that she won. She loved hearing people cry because it showed how weak they are and strong she is. She always won and it made her happy.
"Fine! He's in San Fransisco. He lives near Lombard."
"That's all I needed to know. Thank you so much, Mommy."
"I can't look at you the same way, Kirstin. Why are you doing this to people? They've never even hurt you."
Kirstin smirked once more, walking over to the kitchen. She walked over to the knife stand, taking out the biggest knife she had. She laughed evilly, her mother's worried voice irritating her to no end.
"Shut up and quit whining! I know what I'm doing!"
"No you don't."
"Yes I do! I kill people because they have what I want and if I want something, I get it right away. You can't stop me."
Kirstin hung up, smiling evilly as she walked to her car. She began to drive to Lombard, finally getting what she's wanted since the beginning.
Getting California's most murderous Alpha to kill Mitchell Grassi-Hoying.
A.K.A her father.
